Percy's POV:
We appear outside of the empire state building and Phoenix walks in with me still holding the Moonlace and sword pieces. I watch as Phoenix walks up to the man at the desk and holds out his hand.
"Key to the 600th floor please" Phoenix says patiently and the guy doesn't even look up
"There is no 600th floor. Go bug someone else" the guy says as he turns the page of the book he's reading
"Look idiot, if you don't remember, I am Phoenix, the hearth's rage. Do you REALLY want to piss me off?" Phoenix says calmly as he draws his sword and puts it on the counter for the guy to see
The guy sees the blade and I swear I saw him gulp as his face paled. I watched as he hands Phoenix a key to the elevator and he motions me to follow him. I chuckle as Phoenix reaches the elevator as he sheathes his sword. We step in and Phoenix inserts the keycard and a button appears off to the side of the floor numbers.
"You can do the Honors Perseus" Phoenix says overdramatically and I roll my eyes as I press the button
As the elevator doors close and it starts moving up, the song 'I'm Coming Home' by Diddy starts playing and I start laughing.
"Well, that's funny. It's like Olympus knows you're coming" Phoenix says after he regains his composure as the elevator doors open to Olympus "Hey, Perseus"
"Yeah?" I ask as Phoenix takes the flowers and the sword items and puts them into a backpack that he put on his back
"Wanna race to Hephaestus' palace?" Phoenix says with a glint of mischief in his eyes and I smile slyly
"You're on, but no powers. Flat out normal sprinting." I say and we both take a step out of the elevator and get into position
"Of course, or I would make you eat my dust" Phoenix says and I roll my eyes
"Yeah right, when I learn how to use that skill we are racing again" I reply and Phoenix nods
"On Three" Phoenix starts but then pauses for a moment "Three!"
With that we both take off sprinting at full speed. We raced down the main road, dodging minor gods and leaping over benches that were strewn about. Phoenix made a right and I kept following him. I saw that he had pushed me into a crowd of people and I smirked as I didn't slow down, even though I was heading straight for a woman who was buying something from a vender.
"Good Luck Perseus!" Phoenix says as he just runs around and I laugh as I get closer to the woman
"Excuse me ma'am! Can you jump like right now!" I yell as I drop to the ground in a slide at the very last second causing the minor goddess to squeal as she jumped out of my way
As soon as I past the woman I put my feet flat on the ground and brought my torso up while also bending my knees. I suddenly jumped from my still sliding position and I did a double front flip over the rest of the small crowd of people who were looking at me with mouths agape. When I landed I dropped into a roll to soften the landing before I smoothly got to my feet and kept sprinting.
"Hell Yeah!" I whooped with joy as I vaulted over a bench
"Damn that was epic!" Phoenix said as we continued to race toward a steampunk temple
When we finally reached the door of the temple we were both out of breath but smiling like madmen.
"I haven't had this much fun in millennium" Phoenix said and I laughed heartily as I knocked on the door of the temple
There were a few clangs and some cursing by two voices before the door opened to reveal a girl with soft blue hair and dark brown eyes. Her face was covered in grease but it obviously didn't bother her as she stood there with her arms crossed and eyebrows arched at Phoenix's large smile.
"What is it Phoenix? Hephaestus and I were fixing a World War Two Era tank to add to the Guar..." the girl was about to say but Phoenix surged forward and clamped his hand over her mouth
"Don't say that word unless you want him to experience a massive migraine" Phoenix said and the girl nodded and he removed his hand
"What am I supposed to say then?" She asked and I chuckled
"I just say the G-Word" I say and the girl shrugged
"Anyway, what do you need Phoenix?" She asked again
"We need you to forge some Aieon metal for my friend here. He says he has the design of what he wants and we have the materials. Do you think you could do that for us Katelyn?" Phoenix requests and Katelyn's eyes widen
"Where did you get the Wofrium? Chaos hasn't made any of that metal in years. I think the last time was when Demeter needed a new sickle" Katelyn said and Phoenix nodded as he took off the backpack and handed it to Katelyn
"Took it off Damien after he tried to Court Skyla, he also had the Moonlace which was very thoughtful of him." Phoenix explained and Katelyn smirked as she motioned us to follow her
We walked in and she lead us to a small little forging area where she opened the backpack and carefully took out the flowers but then dumped the two pieces of Damien's sword on the workbench.
"Why is it in half?" Katelyn asked and I took my daggers out which caused Katelyn's eyes to bug out
"Wow, you found Percy's daggers?" I just nodded "Where?"
"I stole them from a museum" I said simply as I sheathed them
"Oh, cool." Katelyn said and I felt Instinct smirk "So, what did you want to make"
"Do you have a pencil?" I asked and Kate nodded and walked over to grab one before she tossed it at me
I found a piece of paper and I started drawing the design I wanted. It had a curved edge with a point pointing toward the hilt, it also had a curved bit of metal on the pommel. Once I was finished with the design I handed it to Kate who took it and studied it with fascination.
"This is incredible! You are one hell of an Artist" Kate said before she looked at me "What's your name anyway?"
"Perseus" I answered and Kate nodded
"Well Perseus, how many of these do you want? Because if you want more than two you're going to have to get more Wofrium metal" Kate said and I smiled
"I just want two of them. But could you also enchant them to have a concealed form of a silver bracelet and that I only have to think of the weapon to summon it?" I asked and Kate smiled and nodded
"Do you also want it to return to you if you should lose it?" I nodded "Alright, give me a few hours, and you will have the best weapon you could ask for, but could you two help Hephaestus with restoring that tank?"
"Of course, Kate, we would be happy to help" Phoenix said and Kate glared at him for using a shortened version of her name
"Okay Phoe" Kate mocked and I laughed while Phoenix pouted like a child "Man, I haven't seen this much reaction from you since Percy's death. I see your finally moving on"
"Yeah, I guess I am moving on. In a way" Phoenix said and instinct laughed mentally "Well come on Perseus, let's go help the god of smiths while Kate here makes your weapons"
The two of us leave Kate to do her thing, and we walk to where we hear tinkering and cursing.
"Ahhh, Phoenix, Young Perseus, I'm glad you could stop by and by the fact that Katelyn isn't with you I'm assuming you asked her to create something?" Hephaestus commented while still under the tank
"Yes, lord Hephaestus, that is correct. We are here to help you restore this tank" I say as I look over the tank
"Yes, well you two can work on the wiring inside the tank, they are all broken or torched" Hephaestus said and Phoenix and I got to work
(Several hours later)
Phoenix and I just finished polishing the main cannon when Katelyn walked in with two silver bracelets in hand.
"Perseus, here you are. Two Aieon metal weapons. I hope you like them." Katelyn said as I walked over and put on of the bracelets on my wrist and the other in my pocket
I summon the blade and admire the beauty of the silver metal and I watched as it glowed silver faintly.
"It's perfect, thank you Katelyn." I say and Kate smiles warmly
"No problem. Use them well" Katelyn said and I nodded as Phoenix and I walked out of the temple to see a blood red moon shining down on me
I looked up at it and rubbed my chest as a ghost pain appeared there.
"Happy Birthday Perseus" Phoenix said as we both stared at the blood moon
"Thanks Phoenix" I say quietly as I watched the moon slowly cross the sky and all I could think about was the person guiding the moon, Arty.
