Fears » Guns, the sound of a gunshot, yelling, screaming, loud noises in general, people coming at him when they're angry, older men around his father's age terrify him, getting hit or punched is more terrifying to him than someone shooting at him with a gun, waking up without Demi (he has a panic attack), constantly afraid of losing Demi again.

Temperament » Slow to anger, very level headed and intuitive, it takes a lot to piss him off, and even if he does snap, it isn't very violent or dangerous, normally he just gives the silent treatment, glares at you, or stares with this heavy look of disappointment (it's ridiculously effective). He never yells, is usually a rather shy and quiet man, and only ever smiles large and genuine when Demi is involved. He blushes A LOT, and very easily. He's a sensitive boi.

Demitri Inou - the first real friend Kailas made after joining public school. Kailas treasured him from the day they met, and quite quickly fell in love with him.
Cassius "Worm" Eliades - former marine second childhood friend, is somewhat protective of Kailas.
Arthur Ellis-Knight - third and final childhood friend and current doctor of the rebellion.
Dakota Bailey - Kailas met him by chance and took him in, becoming the target of his affections and crush. They slept together once, but digressed into just friends after the fact.

Syndicate - group of post war former gang members based in Vienna, Austria, lead by Tobias Florian. They deal in weapons from all over Europe, as well as fuel and supplies both medical and food based.
Phoniks Vidroh - the lead rebellion against the new government, based in an undisclosed location in the United States, lead by Kailas Patel. Their main goal is to eradicate the government that has set up their home in post war America, wanting to free the survivors from an oppressive "hope".
Con Rồng - the new government founded and lead by Bay Donovan Blu (Carter's step brother). Created solely for the purpose of protecting Carter, but distorted into something manic and unstable because of Bay.
Fer-de-Lance/Asper - currently an ally of the rebellions, former prisoners from Brazil lead by Andrei Oliveira (deceased), now a part of the fight against the new government.
