Chapter Twenty-Two

We could have had it ALLLL" I screamed at the top of my lungs the oh so lovely song by Adele and just as I was about to go into the second verse Colette jumped on my back causing my already unbalanced self to fall over unto the pavement
"Ow" I moaned pushing her of me "What was that for?"
"I'm really drunk" Colette slurred rolling over on her side as if that explained it
"So am I!" I cheered clapping my hands excitedly feeling the mixture of energy drinks and alcohol was really getting to my head
"Why are you guys on the floor?" Davie asked all of the boys only just realizing
Me and Colette shrugged
"Help me up!" I demanded
Anthony held out his hand and pulled me up as William attempted to do the same with Colette but she was really, really drunk so he had to half carry and drag her as we walked back to school
I was humming the tune of the song I was singing earlier thinking about how badass I am. Underage and in a nightclub I'm pretty awesome really.
"Hey Lala" Anthony said slinging his arm around my shoulder "Good Birthday?"
I grinned "The best"
No one talked as we walked the rest of the journey back to school. I was still buzzing but I was afraid if I kept talking I wouldn't be able to stop so I decided on singing loudly instead
We turned into the the small secret driveway and spotted the familiar gate. I had to do a double take when I thought I saw a figure in the archway of the gate but when I looked again it was gone ... I'm so drunk
"Do you think they've realized we had gone?" William asked glancing back at me and Anthony
Anthony shrugged "only one way to find out"
"Hey guys ..." Davie whispered
"Why are you whispering?" I asked loudly
Davie glared at me "Because look" We all looked to wear he was pointing down the driveway to the gate.
My eyes took a second to realize I hadn't been imagining the figure in the archway
"Oh my god" Colette whispered pulling away from Williams grip "Lailah do something!"
"Me?" I scoffed
Colette stumbled over to my side and pulled me out of Anthony's arms pulling on my hand "what are we going to do?"
No one answered just stood there standing frozen watching the figure intently
"Come on guys, whatever happens, happens" I said the drunkness probably clouding my common sense and apparently everyone else's because they agreed and kept walking
I knew who it was before we reached them but I wasn't ready to admit it to myself before I saw there face.
Everyone one gasped when they saw who it was (apart from Anthony who swore really loudly instead)
His gaze was firmly on me looking unbelievably pissed. I felt like I had done something extremely shameful and my eyes stayed staring down at my feet
"Hm" Was what Nathan said after a few moments silence "Out without permission, drunk, using the teachers gate. Where exactly does this leave us?"
His tone was ice cold and it sent a shudder down my back
"Expulsion" Nathan said answering his own question with conviction
Colette's hand tightened in mine and I felt angry at Nathan for making my friends scared. He can do anything he wants to me but if he hurts my friends, baby there's war.
I looked up to his burning gaze and returned it before saying in the most fake voice "Sorry Mr Waters it was just a bit if fun"
His jaw tightened at the use of his teachers name and I didn't bother to hide my smirk
"Fun is irrelevant" He said his eyes pouring into mine
Anthony, Davie, William and Colette where all staring at me like I was crazy idiot and maybe they were right.
"Your friends can go" Nathan his eyes turning dark as he looked at me "You stay here"
"Hell no" Anthony protests
"Anthony go" I said despite how much I didn't want to stay there was no point in fighting
"Lailah I'm not leaving you with it" Anthony spits out in disgust
I wince at his choice to call Nathan an 'it' I may not like him myself but I can't help feel its wrong.
"I'll be fine" I glared at Anthony as Colette beside him started crying "Go!" I pushed forcefully
William pulled Colette away and nodded at me as Davie just said "See you later Lala"
Anthony gave me a long look before following the rest of them giving Nathan an equally as long look but was glaring hard instead.
As soon as they disappeared out of sight Nathan charged towards me grabbing my wrists and slamming me hard against the wall "What the hell do you think your doing" he growled
I didn't respond just glared at him with as much resentment I could muster considering I could still remember what happened last time we were against this wall
"How much have you had to drink?" He asked in a low authoritative manner that was hard not answer
"I dunno, at the nightclub they just kept coming" I shrugged I knew I was in trouble as soon as his eyes grew darker
"Nightclub?" He hissed tightening his grip around my wrist
"Yeah?" I said unsure if I should be telling the truth or not
"Do you have a death wish or are you just insanely stupid?" Nathan scolded
"Don't talk to me like I'm a five year old" I seethed trying to get out of his grip "I'm not a f*cking child"
"You're sure acting like one" Nathan bit out pinning my hands back down
"Let me go" I said struggling hard against him put he was much stronger than me
"You do realize the types of people who go nightclubs, all dying for the chance to lay there hands on a underage teenager" He said
"A bit like you then" I quipped back
The look on his face when I said that was murderous and I kind of wished I hadn't said anything but like it was pretty clever of me ... Haha
I bit back the smile that was threatening to take over my face
The silence between us was dangerous and uncomfortable. After a small time Nathan looked away from my face and down to where he was holding my wrists.
I felt like I had possibly offended him and was thinking of apologizing when he ruined my apologetic mood "All I want is your safety Lailah, I never want another man touching you they way I have"
"One kiss does not give you the rights of ownership over who I do and don't allow to touch me" I glared getting irritated by him
"No I guess it doesn't" Nathan said, I was shocked at the mini breakthrough I seemed to have made and was just about to congratulate myself when he said "but this does"
Before I could fully comprehend what he was doing he let out a low snake-like hiss and appearing in his perfect set of crystal white teeth where two long glistening fangs.
"Nathan?" I whispered my heart hitting overdrive in a matter of a few seconds
He didn't reply but in one swift movement his hand was knitted in my hair my head pulled to one side and his mouth only a few centimeters away from my pulsing neck.
"I'd like to say it doesn't hurt" He muttered his lips brushing over my pulse as my breath became rapid with anxiety "But that would be the biggest lie I've ever told" and with those words he sunk his fangs directly into my neck.

So I feel like I can officially call this a Vampire novel now he's bitten her :D
