"Shut up Jace," I scowl at him as he rolls his eyes, handing me a generic red cup and continuing to blabber about how good a certain girl was in bed despite of my annoyance towards the conversation. I try to ignore him, pressing my lips to the second cup of vodka in the last fifteen minutes, the bitter yet slightly sour liquid quickly sliding down my throat and trying to put my thoughts to sleep.
Of course Phil would call PJ over, that fucking asshole. I don't necessarily have anything against PJ, I just don't like the idea of them being this close. The concept of being just 'best friends' doesn't exist in my dictionary—probably because I've never had a best friend—but also because I don't like anyone else touching Phil.
Amidst the makeshift flashy lights in the large house, the screen of my phone appears dimmer than usual, and I mis click upon a few contacts before I find Phil's, typing him a quick message just incase he begins to think that I'm already fucking someone else.
Dan: having fun with pj ? :)
I'm aware that my text screams jealousy and sarcasm but I really don't care, I want Phil to know how much it bothers me when he hangs out with PJ, best friend or not.

I roll my eyes at his reply, taking a sip from my drink before typing. Okay, maybe getting jealous over him having a best friend is petty, but in my defence, I have no idea how relationships work and I am just naturally a person who can't deal with jealousy.
Dan: i don't fucking care i don't like him

I spit my drink back into the cup.

"Are you seriously giggling at your phone? Who are you and where's Dan?" Jace snorts and I flip him off, finishing the drink in my cup before standing up and typing Phil one last text.
