Ok so remember when I asked permission to write a one shot from Jay and Tenneal? I named it Chocolate. Well after sending it to them, they both enjoyed it and gave permission to write a part two. So this will be dinner continuing straight on from that with dinner and something fun :) (NO SMUT) Mainly cos I won't write the female body as I don't want to fuck it up.
Jay's POV
As we hopped into the car, smiled adorning our faces, I couldn't help but watch her as she took her seat and buckled up.
Tenneal: "What?"
Jay: "Fucking chocolate."
Tenneal: "Priorities."
Jay: "But I bought you the chocolate. Aren't I priority number one?"
She laughed at me softly before leaning over and kissing my cheek.
Tenneal: "You can share priority with the chocolate."
Jay: "Lost my girlfriend to food. I don't know how I am going to beat that."
Tenneal: "Good luck."
Jay: "YOU AREN'T EVEN HELPING THE SITUATION!"
I half raised my voice playfully, watching her with a grin on my face as if I could barely contain my own laughter. Tenneal on the other hand couldn't contain it. Listening to her laughing made me smile, She was so beautiful. I started up the car and we were on our way.
Tenneal: "Come on stop staring and let's get going. Lachlan is probably already pissed you blew him off to hang out with me."
Jay: "Oi don't you kink shame me."
Tenneal: "I FUCKING KNEW IT!"
She started smiling and smacked my shoulder once before looking at me intently, almost hoping.
Jay: "What?"
Tenneal: "You and Lachlan."
Jay: "Oh fuck no, I'm not gay, or Bisexual or anything. And besides, there is this girl that uh, she's pretty cool I guess."
Tenneal: "Oh yeah right, I should probably tell you about this guy then. He's a bit of a dick. Can be annoying at times."
Jay: "Hey? At least this girl is sweet and beautiful, though sometimes can be a bit of a knob."
Tenneal: "Alright fuck you win."
Jay: "So I'm a dick am I?"
Tenneal: "No. I love you but at the same time, You're still a wanker."
Jay: "And yet you have stayed with me the whole time."
Tenneal: "Oh don't remind me. It's been years now."
Jay: "You make it sound like you aren't happy."
Tenneal: "Don't try and pull that shit on me You know damn well I am very happy. And I always have been, even if I have to share you with your computer."
Jay: "Don't knock it."
Tenneal: "Wouldn't dream of it. If I did I can probably guarantee you would leave me."
Jay: "It would be a start I guess."
Tenneal: "Note to self. Knock. Computer."
Jay: "Hey that wasn't an invitation."
Tenneal: "Maybe not but it's still funny to think that you are closer with your equipment than you are with me or your friends. Granted work and your studies get in the way too. I don't know how you have time for everything."
Jay: "Yeah nah fucked if I know. I can barely keep up with everything as it is but I guess at the end of the day I'm happy with everything at the moment."
Tenneal: "And that's all that matters, Is that you are happy."
I looked over at her for a brief second and I couldn't help but let a smile creep onto my face. Even with everything happening. She still loves me and supports me. And I will forever be the same.
Jay: "So where do you want to go?"
Tenneal: "Anywhere. I don't mind."
Jay: "Well we have already decided on dinner. I have an idea."
Tenneal: "You still need to get home and finish your work."
Jay: "Fucking buzzkill."
Tenneal: "Voice of reason. There is a difference."
Jay: "And the difference is?"
Tenneal: "I want to go stay out as well. But you have work to get done, and I have to get organized for classes tomorrow."
Jay: "So then same as we use to do a couple of years ago? Dinner then I take you back home?"
Tenneal: "Yeah for tonight at least."
I heard my phone buzz before Tenneal grabbed it quickly. Laughing to herself before unlocking and replying.
Jay: "What the fuck did you just do?"
I heard my phone start to ring through the car Bluetooth. Seeing Lachlan's name pop up.
Lachlan: "WHAT THE FUCK!"
Jay: "Tenneal took my phone, It wasn't me."
Lachlan: "For fuck sake I'm not gay."
Tenneal: "Oh please."
Lachlan: "I'm not, I cop it enough from fans, I would expect you guys to know not to joke about it."
Tenneal: "Oh breathe Lachlan I'm kidding. Laugh at the funny joke."
Jay: "You know she isn't joking right? Though that is kind of funny."
Lachlan: "Fucking... You two have fun."
I heard the phone drop before I chuckled to myself.
Jay: "You're cruel you know that?"
Tenneal: "Oh I'm aware but I had a laugh so it was worth it."
Jay: "Fuck it we can head into Surfers for dinner. There is always something there."
Tenneal: "Pub?"
Jay: "Not a bad idea."
Tenneal: "I know."
As we drove, Tenneal on the phone to someone causing me to roll my eyes playfully. More than likely organizing notes and any work she might have missed. Or even organizing with work her shifts for the fortnight. I turned into the car park and we got out quickly. Eager to get something to eat while I had something in my pocket.
Tenneal: "Is that a banana in your pocket or are you happy to see me?"
Jay: "I swear to fucking god really?"
Tenneal: "Looks like it can't fit."
I couldn't help but laugh while some people around us were giving us both strange looks but fuck them. I'm enjoying a night out with my beautiful fey... I mean girlfriend.
Jay: "Where do we feel like going?"
Tenneal: "Like I said. Pub."
Jay: "Really?"
Tenneal: "It's cheap, Quick and easy."
Jay: "Beer?"
Tenneal: "Priority number two."
Jay: "I'm just being pushed further down the fucking list aren't I?"
Tenneal: "I'd say your at number four right now."
Jay: "WHAT there is already chocolate and beer what the fuck is at number three?"
Tenneal: "Work."
I stood stunned for a second, I genuinely wasn't expecting that.
Jay: "Well fuck ok wasn't expecting that. I can accept that work comes first."
Tenneal: "I'm glad you can accept it. Come on I'm getting hungry and I can tell you are too."
Jay: "I guess I'm hungry."
Tenneal: "When have you ever turned down food."
Jay: "When I'm not hungry."
I watched her poke my belly once before laughing to herself.
Tenneal: "Yeah... so how has that been treating you?"
Jay: "Oh fuck off. I like my food."
Tenneal: "Really? I never would have guessed. I'd have thought you were on a hunger strike."
Jay: "Ooft that's a bit harsh don't you think?"
Tenneal: "No."
As we walked the main strip, looking around for a place to eat before we decided on a little Irish pub along the south end of surfers. As we walked in and took a seat at our table. A lady asking whether we were ready after a few minutes. I just grabbed a steak and salad while Tenneal grabbed a Parmy.
Jay: "Are you sure about that?"
Tenneal: "What do you mean?"
Jay: "They say people can get relaxed while in a relationship."
Tenneal: "Are you saying I am too relaxed?"
Jay: "No. I just thought after the conversation we had that you would be leading by example."
Tenneal: "Oo you're on mate."
I winked at her playfully while she laughed at me, as our drinks arrived, One beer each.
Tenneal: "Cheers."
Jay: "Yeah yeah."
I smiled at her as she started watching the tv off to the side. The news had just come on about an attempted robbery at a home in Brisbane's West near Ipswich.
Tenneal: "Hope they are ok?"
Jay: "It was an attempted Robbery so I'm sure they are fine."
After our meals had arrived, we were both watching the news as we ate. Though I couldn't help myself but steal a few glances at her. I don't know how anyone around the world wouldn't want to have an Australian partner. Everyone else just seems prissy and proper. And here we are at the pub with a beer.
Jay: "I love you."
I caught her off guard just as she put a fork full in her mouth. She looked up at me and smiled with her mouth closed thank god before swallowing and saying it back.
Tenneal: "Couldn't help yourself could you?"
Jay: "I don't know what you are talking about."
Tenneal: "You know damn well what I'm talking about."
Jay: "But I do love you."
Tenneal: "I love you too Jay but uh? You are being quite affectionate. Are you feeling ok? Are you sick?"
Jay: "Sick with love."
Tenneal: "Oh my fucking god really?"
Jay: "Well Sometimes we need to tell the person we love how much they mean to us. That sometimes we forget how much we love them and how much we take for granted the simple is of just being with them."
Tenneal: "Do you have an ear piece in or something? Is one of my friends setting you up for this?"
Jay: "No I, Just think that sometimes we need to really believe in what we want. And to secure the happiness we have as fast as we can. Knowing that when someone makes you really happy. You need to keep them close forever."
I could eye it in her eyes as I spoke the amount of thought I had put into this had actually made her think.
Tenneal: "Yeah. I guess you have a point. If someone or something makes you so happy. It's hard not to want to be with them right?"
Jay: "Exactly, and on one hand."
I lifted out one hand as she laughed at me. A poke ball in the one hand I had shown, having pulled it out of my pocket.
Jay: "On one hand, we have the material objects that we love, the people that we love but can't keep close, or the things we love but can't do all the time."
I couldn't help but giggle as I saw the anticipation of what I was going to do next. I think I had her.
Jay: "And In the other hand."
I pulled out a second pokeball, causing her to laugh even harder as she watched me.
Tenneal: "You are such a fucking Nerd I swear."
Jay: "On the other hand, we have the one object that can seal a persons love. That can cause people to fall and become completely devoted and yet still be able to respect the relationship and treat is like something fragile. Or something strong that needs to be cherished and protected. The one object that can allow me to call you mine forever."
I put the first pokeball down as my hands started to shake a little. I was so nervous fuck. I reached over and pressed the button, opening the ball to reveal the ring sitting on a tiny little pillow. I was honestly a bit afraid but I knew that I needed to do this.
Jay: "Even when given both opportunities. I know that I love you so much Tenneal. And I wanted to ask if you will marry me, and make me the happiest man on the planet."
Tenneal: "You, Are such a nerd. You cute little shit... but fucking hell yes Jay. I would hate myself if I said no."
I smiled wide as I ran over and hugged her, pulling her from her seat and just holding her tight. I leaned in and kissed her, trying to be soft but I probably came across rough. As she pulled away She started laughing at me, punching me in the arm.
Tenneal: "You're still a fucking nerd."
Jay: "Well now I'm Your nerd."
Tenneal: "Wouldn't have it any other way."
