(So we all know Preston's Faith is easy to exploit for a bad guy in a one shot. So I want to make him a good guy.)
Landon's POV
Preston: "So how long have you known?"
Landon: "Oh uh... For a while I guess, I was just scared about saying anything because I didn't know how people would react."
Preston: "I get it mate, And don't worry about me, You can stay here as long as you like ok?"
Landon: "You're ok with it?"
Preston: "Personally it's not my cup of tea. I have Paige as well. But I'm not going to disown you or anything because your gay Landon. You don't get away being homophobic considering, And let's be honest here, I act incredibly gay with my friends."
Landon: "You're words, Not mine."
Preston: "I know, Anyway, Is there a reason why you wanted to come down early? I'm pretty sure it's not because you wanted to see your cousin."
Landon: "I always want to see you?"
Preston: "Mhm."
Landon: "There's a guy leave me alone."
Preston: "Tell me about him."
Landon: "I've known him for a while but it's hard to just talk about him, He has brown hair, Little bit spiked but not all the time, Says it annoys him when he feels something on the top of his hair when it's nothing. He has the most beautiful Hazel coloured eyes, He isn't a big boy but he isn't thin like me, He kind of has your body type. He has an awesome sense of humour, His voice is really sweet and I don't know he just seems like an incredible guy."
Preston: "He sounds like a real catch, What's his name?"
Landon: "Don't laugh."
Preston: "It's Preston isn't it?"
Landon: "No his name is Robert."
I watched as Preston started to giggle before he looked at me and lost it, Almost falling over from laughing so hard.
Preston: "Are you actually fucking kidding me?"
Landon: "Want to make it even better?"
Preston: "What can top that?"
Landon: "He doesn't even know what Youtube is."
Preston: "How does he not know what Youtube is?"
Landon: "He's never mentioned it. Not once, Even when I was talking about my friends and you guys as if it was normal and he was like "Oh they sound like awesome people."
Preston: "Well then I guess you're going to need to bring him to the office sometime."
Landon: "What?"
Preston: "I want to meet the guy who has taken my little cousin's heart. I think It's adorable. Though we may want to keep it between us for now until you are ready to talk to the family."
I looked up over at him standing at the sink putting away the last plate after drying them all. He really did go all out when I was here, Looking after me and making sure I was happy.
Landon: "Hey Preston?"
Preston: "What's up?"
Landon: "Have you ever like, You know..."
Preston: "Tried something with a guy? Yeah once. I got really drunk with the boys on our ski trip and they found me making out with Vik in the shower."
Landon: "Wait, you guys were naked in the shower together?"
Preston: "No he took his shirt off and sat down in the shower with the water running. I walked in cos I needed to pee and saw him sitting in the middle of the shower. So I would assume, That while I don't remember obviously, I just walked up pushed him down and started making out with him. I won't lie to you it was an experience I remember that much. But at the same time, Kind of knew afterwards that guys weren't my thing."
Landon: "Well at least you tried it before denouncing it, Even if it was in that situation."
Preston: "You're avoiding the topic at hand. Why don't you message him?"
Landon: "I don't stop messaging him."
Preston: "My cousin is growing up, I don't know how I feel about that."
Landon: "Oh piss off Preston."
Preston: "Well anyway, I think it's time we get going, Don't you?"
Landon: "Where are we going?"
Preston: "The office where else? You need to invite Rob so I can tell you whether he is good enough for you or not."
Landon: "You're not actually serious are you?"
Preston: "Of course I am, Look Landon regardless of how the world is. You're still my little cousin, And I really do want the best for you. I won't scare him off or make him uncomfortable, I just want to meet the guy. I'm sure he's lovely."
Landon: "Are you sure about this Preston. He doesn't even know what Youtube is. As far as he knows I just have a rich family."
Preston: "So you haven't even told him that you do videos for your own form of income?"
Landon: "If I messaged him right now, Telling him we would pick him up, He would probably be taken aback by the fact that you're car looks more expensive than his house."
Preston: "Well then let's go pick him up."
Landon: "What?"
Preston: "Don't what me let's go."
As he finished what he was saying he walked over and grabbed my hand, Pulling me up and onto my feet, He was dead serious about this and I don't know how I feel. I was nervous yeah but I mean, It wasn't the first time I had met Rob. It was just the only time we would be alone. I know there is only one way to find out, I guess I'm just scared of how he will react.
Time Skip
As we parked outside his home, I couldn't help but look outside to see his home looking dilapidated and unloved. It seemed like no one had lived here for years, and yet I watched him shoulder his back pack, Wearing a reeally nice T-shirt and Jeans combo, His hair was flat and down today, Which reminded me of when he told me that he only didn't care about himself when shit went down, But he never explained to me what that meant. As soon as I saw him almost trip over. I undid my seat belt and burst out of the car door, Running over to him to try and catch him in case he fell again.
Landon: "Robert are you ok?"
Rob: "You're too sweet Landon but I'm fine. I promise."
Landon: "You just nearly fell over what happened?"
Rob: "Lost my footing, I don't mean to sound rude but can we please go?"
Landon: "Uh yeah sure, Sorry about the car, It's the only one my cousin has. I tried to tell him to swap it for our parent's car which is a bit more normal. But yeah."
Rob: "It's fine Landon, I don't care about any of that. You're here, That's all that matters right?"
I found myself smiling at him as he looked up and grinned at me.
Preston: "You two are adorable."
I turned and looked towards the car to see Preston resting his chin on his hands as he leaned on the top of the car. He was smiling at us as if he had just watched a baby rabbit.
Preston: "And while I hate myself for ruining the moment, We do need to get going."
Rob: "Do you mind if I ask where we are going?"
Landon: "Preston needs to head to the office for a bit, But uh."
Rob: "It's fine Landon relax."
I watched him walk towards the car before jumping into the back seat. I followed suit and jumped in on the other side. Watching him look over at me and smile made me feel so warm inside.
Preston: "So Rob what do you do for work?"
Rob: "I don't have a job at the moment. I'm looking for one but I'm not having much luck because I don't have a degree. But I also can't really do much about that either as I failed my Final exams. I have been looking into doing an accounting course because it seems easy. Though I'd rather be working with animations and stuff like that."
Preston: "So you're good with editing and Animations? Why not look into a Film design course maybe? Or even Game design?"
Rob: "That was the original idea but I'd never be able to afford it in the end so I'm just hoping to apply and get accepted for this course and then when I finish that and find a decent enough job, I can work and save up some money to do what I want."
Landon: "Preston no."
Preston: "What? We need one."
Landon: "I said no."
Rob: "What's going on?"
Preston: "Landon told me you didn't know about Youtube."
Rob: "Yeah I guess. After he told me I spent a few hours looking into it. It seems... Different to say the least, But it also seems like it would be difficult to make a living off of it. But I guess you guys have done well for yourself."
I looked over at him and smiled, I caught him looking back towards me.
Rob: "You wouldn't have mentioned it for no reason, Whether it was because you find it entertaining or perhaps even do it yourself. But I guess looking into Minecraft, I was bound to find Preston at least. I like that Woofless guy. He has a great name."
Landon: "That sounds a little biased."
Rob: "I have no idea what you're talking about."
Preston: "You want a job?"
Landon: "Preston I won't let you give the guy I like a job with you."
Preston: "Why not? We need an editor, He knows who we are now, It's perfect."
Rob: "So you like me?"
I looked over at him and saw him thinking, did I say that out loud?
Landon: "Fuck."
Preston: "Landon."
Landon: "Did I say that out loud."
Rob looked over at me and smiled before he reached over and grabbed my hand in his. Tightening his grip as he looked at me.
Rob: "You're a sweet guy Landon. But I think Dinner first when I get some pocket money would be a better and proper way to start."
Preston: "I am hungry."
Landon: "Just us Preston."
Preston: "I'm kidding but I am feeling hungry."
I heard a stomach rumbling but it wasn't mine.
Preston: "Whoa Landon you hungry?"
Rob: "Sorry about that haven't eaten today yet."
Preston: "That settles it, the office can wait what do you feel like boys."
Rob: "I don't have any money, I can wait till I get back home."
Preston: "I don't care. I'm getting you some food."
Landon: "Preston I'm the one trying kiss him back off."
Rob: "Oh."
He squeezed my hand in his own before I heard Preston start to laugh.
Preston: "You need to learn to keep your mouth shut and just think about what you want."
Landon: "Leave me alone."
Rob: "I think I'm good."
I didn't know what was happening until I heard a seat belt unclick beside me. I turned to face Rob before I felt his lips press themselves against mine. I instinctively closed my eyes, That was what people do when they kiss someone right?
Rob: "Damn it. I was aiming for your cheek."
Landon: "Heh. Hehehe."
Preston: "I think you broke him."
Landon: "You kissed me. hehehe."
I couldn't help but smile and giggle to myself like I was a little nuts. But he kissed me.
Rob: "And you know Preston? After knowing him for a few years. I'd probably do it again."
