[Sid's POV]
"Thank you" I smiled at the officer who after checking my details, let me in. Currently at Chatrapati Shivaji Terminal Airport, trailing off to my next shoot. I know, it sounds weird. I'm supposed to shake my booty at a friend's private party or be present at our gang's hideout, welcoming in the new year. But here I am struggling to keep my pace among the whistling crowd, ignoring the eyelash battling girls, taking my seat at the VVIP room, waiting for my flight.
The christmas phone call with Alia sounded a bit disturbing with the amount of awkwardness we felt. There was nothing for me to feel uncomfortable while talking to her. I simply took her on a DATE!
Its not like we had sex and were shy enough to confront each other for days prolong!
My phone vibrating, shut the most idiotic of thoughts from my brain screen before I imagined absurd things.
It said Bunny calling.
Chalo, I have a time pass until flight arrives.
"Hello superstar! yaad kaise aaya ?"
"Hello to you too rising star! Superstar hoon, doston ki zaroorart mujhe bhi hoti hai" I could imagine him smirk.
"Aukaad yaad dilane, right ?" This was fun.
"You bastard! I don't blame you. I've lost my reference point for innocency in our group, courtesy Alia! Sangat ka asar, bro" This made me smile more as it was too good to be true. "What are your new year plans ? " I didn't got his point of calling me rather party wild.
A kapoor is never out of plan.
"Tabhi toh phone kiya! I thought of doing a YJHD countdown with our gang through phone. That way all of us could welcome the new year together, given that we are far in presence"
"That's so cool. So your going to connect them all ?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll do. Just stay on line and let me put them all on conference." and his voice vanished in thick air.
"Popcorn ?" a voice gained my attention from beside.
"No, thanks" I'll rather stare at you shamelessly than have those!
Okay, don't panic. I'm not cheating on her!
Guess what ?
I'm heading to Coonoor along with ALIA for our next 'Kapoor & Sons' !
See, I can see you smile like a fool.
So basically we sorted out all those fucked up, out of place emotions we had after our date and decided to maintain a low profile relation.
But sooner or later our families, friends and fans need to know. For the time being, both of us realising our love for each other is more than enough.
I kept staring at the beauty seated next to me. Her extra long locks fluttered with the cool breeze, making her irritate while she typed on her laptop.
"Should we tell them today when they call ?" I asked casually while tucking a lose hair strand behind her ear lobe, earning a heartwarming smile to kill for. I'm basically a pro at hair tucking you see ;)
"I think so. The sooner, the better!" Just then I heard a volcanic high pitched shriek travelling all the way from my phone's speaker to my ear drums and its surroundings!
"Hellloooo!! Missed me much ?" It was drama queen pari, true to her demeanour. I tried not to laugh at her over excitement while Alia giggled silently.
"Umm..guess so" I said with a confused grin.
"When Ranveer Singh is here, you better not miss anybody else" here came the man! He spoke out of blue, true to his personality. Pari breathed a 'whatever'.
"I'd rather watch Comedy nights with Kapil than hear you both bicker like Bigg boss housemates!" spoke Shredz.
"I agree with you aarohi" declared Adi.
"That's basically what you do every time, adi!" said Alia finally.
"Wait who ? Alu your there with him ? Tu konsi film doing ?" asked Bunny.
"Baba, me & Sid are heading to coonoor for our next shoot together" she answered.
[Alia's POV]
I could hear all of them gasp.
"What?" Fubu was the first one to ask. Sid gave me an impossible look!
"And here I was trying hard to connect you with us. Is your dabba switched off ?" asked a restless Bunny.
"Its a dabba, so what are you expecting anyway ? Sorry for the inconvenience but hey, let this be another surprise!" I smiled.
"Well, great" I heard Pari say in a hushed voice. I sense something wrong.
"So where are you all now, like quick update on the location ?" I asked to keep the chat flow.
"At my home with Anshu" said Fubu earning 'awws' from us girls. Well, boys tried to 'aww' too but their's was terrible!
"In indian custom, this gesture is considered to be gentlemanly" Ayu showed off his knowledge skills in lame sarcasm. "Ok gentlemen! give our love to anshu, fubz" shrieked Shredzy.
"Sure, where are you ?" he asked in return. "At RockOn2 shoot location. Currently in my vanity." answered shredz.
"Doing nothing and staring at infinity" Rannu tried to complete.
"Thinking of ways to kill RS" added Adi.
Okay, he got all defensive today.
"I'm at my pad with Sanju, my stylist" spoke Pari.
"Well, who cares!" Rannu's jawaab made both me and Sid laugh like crazy. That sure hit the right nerve.
"Ee haalo! where are you Mister ?" snapped Pari.
"I thought to hit a pub for a late night chill and"
"your with deepika!" cut Sid.
"Yeah and.."
"WHAT ???" we all spoke at once! I'm sure I choked on my popcorn and somebody must have spilled their drink.
"Your so quick baba!" teased VD, finally gracing us with his voice.
"Oh heaven! seenu baba, I meant I was hallucinating DP to be with me. Can you believe it ? like I was accidently going to kiss this videsi chokri assuming her to be DP and when realization hit like a brick , even before I knew anything, she fell on the floor from my lap"
Woah, her butt must have hurt! Like what ?
"I appreciate your guts, broi" smiled Sid.
"IKR, I'm great"
"Here comes the mahatma. Well I'm shooting for Karan's next with Anu" said Bunny.
"Which Anu ?" Adi got all curious.
"Anupama, Anuradha, Anupriya, Anurag Basu or Kashyap ? ismein se kaun ?" Someone shoot rannu. "Its Anushka, for god's sake!" bunny confirmed.
"As in Sharma ? woh jo acted with me in BBB ?" Rannu is the biggest nautanki ever. Meanwhile me and Sid had a terrible time controlling our desire to laugh out loud.
"Yeah it was you who debuted with her" reminded Fubu.
"Theek hai!" poor guy!
"Adi where are you ?" Shredzy asked after we laughed at Rannu's fate.
"Home"
"Sleeping like a bear" completed Pari.
"Hain? you still sleep like a pig ?" asked Sid with an amused smile.
"How on earth are you aware of his sleeping routines cum skills ?" asked Ayan.
Bam! Sid's face resembled a beetroot.
"O-oh! I never knew you guys where together" I decided to fuel more.
"What? No Alia! I'm not gay yaar!" screamed Adi stretching the word gay.
"Keyword being GAY" Return of Bunny.
"You guyz" we girls couldn't help but laugh.
"I belong to homo sapien category. Don't compare me with animals" nerdy boy. I could sense him pout with humiliation.
"What is he? A ZOO?? " asked Rannu.
"Rannu, stoppp!" My stomach ached with laughing so hard.
"Airport officials are already planning to send me and Sidharth to a nearby mental hospital" I said in between my dying laughter.
"You guyz would return back home, finally" spoke Shredz.
"Tera kya Ayu ?" I asked with the assumption that he must be in Mumbai.
"In Ireland to finalize my shoot location" he answered.
"Which film are you doing ?" I pity Katrina for enduring an idiot like Ranbir!
"The same film in which I decided to cast a rascal like you, unfortunately!" replied Ayu.
This caused another explosion.
"This is pure beizatti" complained Bunny while laughing.
"Is the place matching your vision ?" asked VD.
"Yeah, there is this beautiful piece of land, perfect for our majority of movie scenes. We can start shooting by next year start, hopefully"
Hopefully.
"You should have seen me running like a madman on the streets of Dublin with a ham in one hand, munching!" he spoke again. "I can already visualize that amazing scene" said Fubu in a dreamy voice.
"And while running through the crowd, you must have bumped into anything but a girl!" Adi tried to broaden the vision.
"And she must have mesmerized you!" completed Sid.
"Yes, she did!" said Ayu. "
"Wait WHAT ? It did happen ?" asked Pari in excitement and horror.
"You bumped into a girl ? In Ireland ? How come I'm not aware?" Bunny started being melodramatic. "Oh dramebaaz, he went today itself. So must have met the girl like hours before. Who are you ? His wife ?" I asked bluntly.
"Stop the haze and continue the story ayu, we are waiting" encouraged Shredzy.
"So basically after moving past a multitude of crowd, I bumped into something which turned out to be a girl. You won't believe but when she looked up, my heart beat ran like wild horse, time froze, my tensions vanished and I could hear movie songs playing in my head. Strangely orchestra didn't played to make it look more cliched!" he said.
"Badhai ho bhaiyyon!" screamed Adi. The boys went crazy and whistled like taporis.
"Bhabhi mil gayi" I was more than happy for him.
"Hold on folks. We just met, like bumped and yeah she told her name as Riya Mehra. That's it! Its not like as if we are getting married today!"
"But still, none other than Ayan Mukherji , star of Dharma has a crush on some mehra! Isn't that great ? I'm waiting Abhishek to fall for some girl!" VD got over excited.
"Guys, do you realise that we are just 20 seconds away from 2016 ?" screamed Bunny to get our attention.
"Stop arguing and tell something which can surprise, like literally pull out our eyes from its socket in between the final countdown, be quick!" ordered Pari.
I paused for a moment.

Is this the correct time to tell ?
How would they react ?
I looked at Sidharth for a brief second. Our eyes did the talking. I am so lucky to find someone who can understand my body language and response rather than me putting my fears verbally. His eyes gave me a sense of peace, an encouragement to go ahead. He asked me though his expressions if I was ready for it. My heart stopped for a second and then I gave him the brightest of smile ever and looked back at his phone in my hand.
"Hurry up gaddho! 10 seconds to go! Nobody has anything interesting to share ?" Rannu asked.
"Well doston, me and Sid have something to share. It may sound shocking but we are ready to announce."
"Shocking is the new cool. Continue!" said Bunny.
"Someone do the countdown in between, it would be double fun" said Ayu.
"All ears, go ahead #10" started Shredzy.
"I know its not the perfect time to tell you. But some people come into your life and change its course." I started.
"Toh ? #8" VD spoke.
"Yeah so, that one person makes your life beautiful and you can't help but imagine the same person everywhere, everytime!" Sid spoke smiling at me.
I never felt this tense, whole my life. Out of worry, I clasped my hand with Sid and held it tightly for assurance.
"I'm still not getting your point #6" Adi said.
"Your sure your not pregnant ?" Rannu asked out of blue.
"I'm gonna kick your ass ever so hardly that your gonna forget the day!" I swear I'll kill him.
"#4 Jaldi bako yaar! Rannu please don't interrupt" warned Fubu.
"Haan, so me and Alia..." said Sid with a dramatic pause.
I inched more closer to him.
"You and Alia..what happened to you both ? #2" Shraddha asked with sky rocketing excitement.
"We love each other... and " Sid had to shout and speak as the whole airport was buzzing with noise for the last seconds, before 2015 ended.
"Like whatttt ????" screamed them.
I could hear numerous voices erupting in the background and in our surrounding to the entry of new year.
"And we are together!" Sid spoke with a huge smile hugging me from side.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!" screamed Rannu.
I guess he was focusing more on the countdown and less on our confession.
At that moment, we saw a myriad of explosion up in the dark sky, illuminating the whole place as we all stayed connected through communication. May this year bring loads of happiness, health and love to all of us!
Can't wait to start a new journey with my love, Sidharth !
