Ethan's POV
I sat down after having finished my last recording I needed before having to travel to the SideHouse to meet up with
The guys and the Pack as they had all decided to visit this year. Tobi and Harry were already here with me, just waiting for me to finish up. I guess I could edit later after dinner but at the same time I would rather get it done now.
Tobi: "Behz you ready yet?"
Ethan: "Yeah I'm finished but I think I'd rather edit this now and not later."
Tobi: "Well we need to go and Harry is getting antsy so it's up to you but if you don't want to come alone you may have to wait till later."
Ethan: "Fuck it, I'll just have to wait till later."
I stood up from my chair and noticed Tobi looking at me strange. It seemed like there was something on his mind but he was afraid to say anything.
Ethan: "You alright mate?"
Tobi: "Huh? Yeah I'm fine. Just a few things on my mind."
Ethan: "Uh ok then."
Tobi: "Just, You know I'll tell you later it's not important."
Ethan: "Are you sure? If something is eating you than talk to me mate."
Tobi: "It's fine mate. Trust me."
Well I mean I. Don't trust you and I'm also pretty sure that I never will trust anyone when they say they are fine but hey why not just give him the benefit of the doubt.
Harry: "Come on mate by the time we get there the boys will already have arrived."
Ethan: "Alright alright I'm coming Bog. Just let me grab my shit."
Tobi: "Way ahead of you."
He pulled my phone, and wallet out of his pockets before throwing them to me.
Ethan: "Why did you steal my shit fam?"
Tobi: "I have no idea what your talking about. Come on let's go."
As we walked down to the car park, we hopped into Harry's car and were on our way to see everyone. I was pretty excited to say the least, it had been a while since I had seen any of the boys aside from Lachlan who I swear might as well just live here with how well he gets along with Vik. But hey if the guy wants to get with Rob then who is to blame him? Still Waiting for the tweet saying he is moving to Canada. Maybe that's why Tobi was a bit hesitant with me. They all knew I was gay but no one really cared. I guess making all the Jokes made it easier to handle and now it's just a staple. I know the guys feel bad afterwards due to how many times I have to assure them that it's fine. As we pulled up at the house we noticed only one car remained, which meant they weren't home yet thank god.
Ethan: "See I told you we would be fine."
Harry: "Yeah because your use to leaving at the very last moment. Give us some credit for at least making it here on time?"
Ethan: "I do believe I shall do no such thing."
As we all hopped out of the car and walked up to the front door. Tobi knocked before Josh opened up surprising us a little.
Tobi: "I would have thought it would be JJ of all people staying behind."
Josh: "Nah he went to go grab some alcohol so you know how this is going to end up. In the mean time Simon and Vik should be home with the boys very soon."
Ethan: "Cool, in the mean time I have some stuff I need to organise."
Harry: "Oh fuck off Ethan just relax for the night while everyone is here. I heard Mitch was Bi."
Ethan: "Oh really?"
I turned to see a guilty look on Tobi and Josh's face and couldn't help but laugh at them both, they looked so dumb standing in the lounge room with a dumb look on their face.
Ethan: "I'm not that desperate, and besides Jess is a lovely young woman."
Harry: "He has a girlfriend, well that sucks."
Tobi and Josh didn't even crack a smile or anything and I knew something was up.
Ethan: "Ok what are you all not telling me?"
Tobi: "Well..."
He was about to spill before we heard someone knocking on the front door. Josh and Tobi sprinted out of the room as I watched everyone start to pile in. Greetings were in order as I welcomed each and every one of them, it was great seeing them and I do miss the boys. Even though we don't have much to do with them they are still really nice guys. And Lachlan and Rob were adorable, the two of them holding hands was probably the cutest thing I had ever seen.
Lachlan: "Hey Ethan."
Ethan: "Hi Lachy how are you?"
Lachlan: "I've been really good."
Rob: "Heard you came out, congrats man."
Ethan: "Thanks Rob. Odd question but you wouldn't happen to know why Josh and Tobi seem to be hiding shit at all would you? I know it's a long shot but gotta cover all my bases right?"
Lachlan: "Gotta admire his reasoning."
Rob: "True, but no sorry we haven't spoken to them. Corner Simon or Vik, they aren't good at keeping secrets."
Ethan: "I've already tried Simon but still."
I thanked them both and let Lachlan show Rob around as I tapped Vik on his shoulder.
Vik: "Hey Ethan how are you feeling?"
Ethan: "Fine but there's something I wanted to ask if you don't mind."
Vik: "Sure."
Ethan: "And hello Merome."
Mitch: "Good to see you again dude."
Jerome: "Congrats on coming out mate."
Ethan: "Congrats on you and Ryan. Always thought he was a little bit too flamboyant and aloof for a reason."
Jerome: "He has his moments but that's why I love him."
Ethan: "And when Are you asking out Jess Mitch?"
Mitch: "In due time, just kind of enjoying what we are building at the moment."
Vik: "You said you wanted to talk to me?"
I walked off towards his room and waited for him to follow me, as we both entered his room and he closed his door, he took a seat on his bed while I sat in his chair.
Ethan: "So why are Tobi and Josh looking at me or avoiding looking at me as if they were worried or hiding something?"
Vik: "Have you tried talking to Simon?"
Ethan: "Been there done that."
Vik: "What about Harry?"
Ethan: "I doubt he would be able to keep a secret. I also was told that you can crack under the pressure if I push hard enough. So if you could make this a lot easier and just tell me that would be great."
I saw his eyes darting towards the door as if he could run to get there in time.
Ethan: "I will peg my fucking phone at you if you run, just be honest with me. I would be honest with you if something was going down."
Vik: "Look we just didn't want you to feel uncomfortable here."
Ethan: "Why would I feel uncomfortable?"
I heard a few female voices and heard a knocking on the door.
Vik: "Business talk give us a second."
Kayleigh: "Gotcha I'm grabbing a drink do you want one?"
Vik: "Yeah thanks."
Ethan: "Why would I be uncomfortable?"
Vik: "Everyone here is with their partner. Each person here has someone they really care about that they would want to spend a life time with, the only people who aren't with their partners is Mitch and Jerome and we both know what they are like."
Ethan: "They might as well be a couple themselves."
Vik: "Exactly. Look I'm sorry Ethan but we didn't know how you would feel being alone."
I looked up at him and started to laugh hysterically, I could barely stop myself enough to breathe. I just noticed the confused look on his face and broke into tears laughing again. I watched as Kay came in with a drink for Vik and a third glass as well.
Kayleigh: "Here you go Ethan."
Ethan: "Thank you Kay."
Kayleigh: "I assumed "Business Talk" was over when Ai heard Mr Hyena here going off."
Ethan: "Fair assumption, apparently these boys are worried about me because I'm the only one here without a partner."
Kayleigh: "Oh please Vik your so naive."
I walked up and high five Kayleigh before walking out of the room and leaving the two of them alone. As I did I almost ran into Preston who waved towards me. I decided to go and sit with him seeing as Simon was off somewhere.
Ethan: "So where did Simon go?"
Preston: "Off to get a drink, he told me they were worried about you being on your own. I laughed at him."
Ethan: "Just had the same conversation with Vik, Kay walked in and laughed at him as well."
Preston: "Why do people think that just because your the only one without a partner or the only one here that is "Alone" you know what I mean by that..."
Ethan: "Yeah I got you."
Preston: "Why do they think they can worry about you? Seems silly to me."
Ethan: "It is silly. I mean don't get me wrong I think it's adorable that they all care about me so much that they think I would be uncomfortable but I love you all. And I really like seeing you American boys. And then theirs Lachlan and Rob who is probably the most adorable couple here no offence."
Preston: "None taken, I guess I still have some things to work on with Simon anyway but we make it last."
Ethan: "That's great man, and congrats on making it public, I doubt your family took it well."
Preston: "At first no, but we all sat down at the table and spoke about how we let, what we thought and we let everything out without getting angry or raising our voices and we eventually just realised that they were scared for me and didn't know how to look after and protect me. You know what the world and online community is like."
Ethan: "Trust me, I'm aware. Anyway I better let you go before Simon comes back and starts thinking I'm stealing you."
Preston: "He can get jealous. See you later."
I stood up and headed into the lounge room to see JJ getting close with Tobi while Harry was talking to Lachlan and Rob with his girlfriend, I had no idea where josh and Freya were but I guess it didn't matter, it's funny how everyone thinks that you need to be with someone to find happiness, that you need to hold someone else in order to smile and feel complete. Maybe one day I will be like everyone here and have someone to call my own but right now. I have way too many more important things to worry about like my channel, my future and my career. I don't think I could handle a relationship on top of that. It would be fun don't get me wrong. But honestly, sometimes you don't need a relationship to be happy. As long as your happy with your friends, your family and your career. Who needs a relationship unless you feel like you would like to be with someone? Until then I am quite content being with my friends and working every day and doing what I love.
Sometimes you don't need a relationship to be really happy.
