Natalia's POV
I hadn't been feeling well all day today. Which sucked because I still had Maths to go... Haha yeah nah I would do anything to get out of that.
Landon: "Hey are you feeling ok?"
Natalia: "Not really. I haven't been feeling well all day today."
Landon: "Is it..?"
Natalia: "First of all.Fuck you Landon. But no it's not. I can't go home though I need to finish school. You know what my parents are like about my education."
Landon: "Well. You can't stay here. You look like your about to throw up. And I don't know about you. But I just ironed this shirt this morning."
Not going to lie the thought of Landon standing without his shirt while ironing. Kind of a turn on for some woman. Mainly because a man is doing house work. The fuck is wrong with me?
Natalia: "Well then what am I going to do? I can't leave. And we both have Maths last period."
I felt my stomach starting to growl before feeling like I was going to throw up.
Landon: "Ok look you know the office that I work at on videos?"
Natalia: "Yeah you have taken me before while Preston was in Canada with the Pack."
Landon: "Well he is home. And you know the place. You can just message your parents saying your going to go there with me after school anyway to work on an assignment? It wouldn't be half lying because we do have to finish off that science bullshit."
Natalia: "How am I going to get there?"
Landon: "Leave that tome ok?"
I trust you Landon. But at the same time. I know how much of a sneaky bastard you can be.
Natalia: "Alright. Fine.I need to go to the toilet anyway."
I walked off from where we were seated and having our lunch and made my way towards the girls bathroom. After finishing my business. I was about to walk out when I got hit with a cold sweat. My body was warm but the sweat was ice cold. I felt my stomach about to give up before I turned around and leaned over the toilet bowl. Projecting into it. I could hear someone behind me but I didn't know who it was.
????: "Hey you can't be here."
Landon: "My eyes are closed. I'm just helping my friend who is really sick. I'm sorry if you are offended by me being helpful. Now fuck off."
I finally stopped and just looked up. Landon handed me a piece of toilet paper and I wiped my mouth with it. I grabbed a water bottle from my bag and took a swig.Swishing it around in my mouth before spitting back into the bowl and flushing. The horrible taste was still in my mouth but I'm sure I can find a way to get rid of that later.
Landon: "I called Preston and he is on his way. He should be here in ten minutes. Come on I'll help you up to the office."
Natalia: "Thanks."
As we stepped out of the bathroom. I watched a girl talking to a teacher but he didn't seem to phased. Landon took me up to the office and spoke to them about what was going on. They never liked it that students would go over their head to contact the outside but we didn't really have a choice. The school board and teachers do fucking nothing to help us when we are actually in trouble. So fuck them.
Landon: "You just wait here. Preston will be able to help you out ok?"
Natalia: "Does he even know what I look like?"
Landon: "I've shown him before what you look like."
Natalia: "Alright sure."
Landon: "I need to go to class. I'll get your work for you and bring it back with me. Remember to message your mum about staying at the office for a bit and she can pick you up later or something?"
Natalia: "I'm 18 Landon."
Landon: "So am I but we still need to finish this last year of school."
Natalia: "Alright I'll talk to you later."
He nodded my way and started walking off. I could feel my stomach starting to hurt again but I didn't think I was going to throw up so that was a plus. I waited the ten minutes Landon spoke about before Preston walked in the front office doors. Speaking to administration and signing me out. Once he signed the paper he gestured for me to join him. I picked up my bag and waltzed over. Still holding onto my stomach through my jumper.
Preston: "I'm Preston."
Natalia: "Natalia. Nice to meet you."
Preston: "I'm glad you didn't freak out. Most people do."
Natalia: "Landon is my best friend. I'm aware of what it is you guys do. I don't see why people would freak out over you guys."
Preston: "Mainly just fans of our videos. Or you know. Sometimes crazy obsessed girls."
Natalia: "Oh I'm familiar."
We walked over to his car before jumping in and hitting the road.
Natalia: "I remember when Landon transferred to school. I was the only one that would talk to him. Some people would avoid him completely and it was sad. The only reason he started talking back was when one girl tried to chat him up. Use him for infamy and try to hook in with him. Needless to say I made sure she won't ever try talking to him again."
Preston: "What did you do?"
Natalia: "Well there weren't any teachers around."
Preston: "I hope you didn't hit them."
Natalia: "Oh please I have some self respect. I tripped her. Landon and I blamed it on her being clumsy and they believed us. Win win."
I looked over at Preston and smiled in his direction. I noticed a tint of red to his cheeks.Probably just warm. I know how hot it can get in that office. We were silent for the rest of the trip before finally arriving at their office.
Preston: "So we don't have any proper beds. But if you like I can pull out the bedroll from my room and you can use that if you like. It would be the only thing in here long enough for you to lay down completely. There is the couch but I don't know how that will work."
Natalia: "Is the bedroll warm?"
Preston: "Yeah. It can get pretty hot."
Natalia: "I'll take that then if it's no trouble please."
Preston: "Yeah. Yeah no problem."
He had a lop sided smile as he looked at me before racing up to his room. I moved myself into Landon's recording room. He said I was free to use the space whenever I needed but most of the time it was just to lounge around in and do work while he recorded. It was funny listening to him have to restrict his language considering he swears like a trooper outside of his videos.
Preston: "Hey brought you a pillow as well. Do you need anything to eat or drink?"
Natalia: "I'm fine Preston. Thank you. Go do your videos or something. Whatever it is YouTubers do when they aren't making people happy."
I listened to him giggles lightly to himself.
Natalia: "Not like that slut."
Preston: "Wouldn't dream of it. Uh. Here. Can you open up Skype please?"
I took my phone out and opened Skype. He took my phone and mashed in his profile and added himself.
Preston: "If you need anything. Or a bucket or something. Let me know."
Natalia: "Can you show me where the bathroom is? I've never needed it until now so I never needed to find it."
Preston: "Yeah it's uh.Just through here."
Why was he so nervous. He was stuttering a little bit and it was funny if I'm too be honest. He showed me around to not just the bath room but to the kitchen and everything else as well.
Natalia: "You know I knew where all of this stuff is already right?"
Preston: "Well yeah. But you know just in case you might have forgotten."
Natalia: "I was here last week. And I've been here loads while you were in Canada with your friends."
Preston: "He told you about that then huh."
Natalia: "Yeah I also know your the only single Pack member. Jerome, Vikk and Mitch all have their girlfriends. And Lachlan and Rob are together. Leaving you on the outside."
Preston: "It's not that I'm not interested in a relationship. I guess I just never felt this connection before."
Natalia: "What?"
Preston: "What?"
Natalia: "Uh. Anyway I think I'm going to go lay down."
Preston: "Ok. Sure. Remember to message if you need anything. At any point in time ok?"
I watched him walk off with a little bit of a slump to his step. Why the fuck was he being so weird? I couldn't help but have the thoughts stuck in my head as I walked off to the bedroll given to me. I lay down inside it and felt myself slowly nodding off. Fuck I hope I feel better soon.
Time Skip
I woke up to some light shouting from down stairs. Landon must be home and talking to Preston. Or shouting. I don't even know anymore. I pulled myself out of bed and picked myself up. Swaying a little bit in the process. So I guess I'm still not one hundred percent good. As I got closer the voices echoing through the halls got louder until I eventually got to the kitchen. Seeing the two boys almost at each others throats.
Landon: "She needs to go home still."
Preston: "She is that fucking sick she crashed the whole time we have been here. And It's Friday anyway. Make an excuse for her. I won't send her home if she is that sick. And we can look after her here as well. We have more blankets and..."
Landon: "That's not the fucking point Preston."
Natalia: "Guys can you lower your voices please?"
I watched the two of them look towards me. Landon walked over and pulled me into a hug.
Landon: "Are you ok Nat?"
Natalia: "No. I'm not Landon. I feel like shit."
Landon: "Preston thinks that."
Natalia: "I know. I should stay here. I'll send mum a message but I'm more then likely going to be sleeping the entire time anyway."
Preston: "Well. Here. I made you this so you have some food in your system."
He handed me over just a bowl of soup. I guess it was better then nothing. I grabbed a spoon and slowly started to drink it. Listening to the boys argue some more. Until eventually Landon threw his hands up in annoyance and just walked out. Preston smiled a little before walking over to me.He put his arms around me and just held me softly.
Preston: "Are you ok?"
Natalia: "Yeah. The soup is great. Thanks."
Preston: "No problem."
He didn't let go of me straight away and I kind of clicked in to what was going on. And I don't know. I guess I found Preston attractive. That's nothing new.But I don't know him.
Natalia: "Hey as good as this is. I'm sorry I can't finish it all."
Preston: "It's fine. Your ill. Do you want me to wrap it up for you. Save it for later maybe?"
Natalia: "Nah It's fine. Thanks. I think I'm going to go lay down again."
I picked myself up and poured the soup out down the drain. There was only a little left. I cleaned my bowl and spoon and made my way back up to Landon's room. I found the bedroll just outside with a note on it.
Landon: "Natalia.I'll be recording a few videos to prepare in advance. I will be a bit loud and I don't want to wake you up. Why don't you go ask Preston if you can bunk in his room. Sorry."
I picked up the roll and walked back down to find Preston doing dishes.Which was funny because there was practically nothing there anyway.
Natalia:"Hey. Landon is preparing a few videos. Can I just sleep in your room or are you going to be recording as well?"
Preston:"No it's fine. I won't be recording but I will need to edit a few things. Go ahead."
I watched him smile at me again. It's like he wasn't even trying to be subtle.
Natalia:"Thanks Preston."
I made my way up stairs before feeling like I was going to collapse and pass out. I felt my body swaying even though the office wasn't moving. I fell backwards and prepared for impact with the ground before feeling Preston behind me. He picked me up in his arms and took me into his room. HE sat me on his chair before setting up the bedroll and a few extra blankets. Once he was done he picked me up again. My body feeling limp. And placed me down. Helping me into the bed before pulling blankets up to my neck. He looked down at me and kissed my forehead before making his way out and closing the door behind him. Fucking cute guy how dare he look after me. But it did feel nice I guess. Oh god what is wrong with me. If Landon found out I started to like Preston he would slap me.
