After Heeseung left, Jake eventually walked his way to the house where Winter is staying.
When he got to the door. He did not bother knocking as he could sense his wife already asleep.
He made his way inside and locked the door before he rushed to the bedroom. He did not open the lights in case that it might suddenly wake the girl from her deep sleep.
"She still sleeps like a child." He said and chuckled lovesick to himself.
He leaned by the door and crossed his arms. Quietly watching her even the littlest movements she makes. It made him realize how much he misses her after being gone for two years. He stopped eventually when he realized that it might be creepy to stare while she sleep.
He decided to move and carefully lay down beside her. Gently wrapping his beautiful wife in his arms and from then he could no longer contain himself.
Jake leaned close to her neck as he inhaled her addicting scent he'll never grow tired of. He started peppering her with kisses on her head and temple. Until Winter eventually fell awake. But she did not open her eyes and turned to hug him properly.
"I missed you." Jake whispered and kissed her forehead.
"Welcome back." He heard her whisper groggily and Jake hummed. Pressing another chaste kiss on her forehead.
"Sleep. I'm here now." He hummed and started singing her a lullaby until she fell asleep again.
He laid beside her and just watched her sleep. He doesn't sleep after all so he just stayed there and waited until it was morning.
When the sun finally seeped through the window. Jake carefully moved out of bed and hurried to the kitchen.
He could feel a strong rush and excitement to make breakfast for his wife. He always does it for her. Before he left for battle. And now doing it again made him feel that he is truly home.
After he finished cooking. He started setting up the table just as when Winter walked out of the bedroom.
Jake watched her with adoring eyes. She had messy hair while tiredly rubbing her eyes and yawning like she's the only one in the house.
"Good morning darling." He greeted and Winter flinched, realizing that he must've seen her.
"Come take a seat. I just finished making us breakfast." He said followed by a chuckle.
Winter cleared her throat and tried to play cool. She took a seat and quietly watched her husband make a plate for her with observing eyes.
He wore his pink apron that she made for him. She wanted to throw it away because the cat she tried to sew on it was horrible and looked like a cockroach instead. But Jake insisted on keeping it because he knows she worked hard to make it.
Once he was done, they started eating.
Even though Jake will throw it all up anyway. He doesn't want Winter to eat by herself. He knows that she doesn't want to eat by herself because it makes her lose her appetite.
Once they were done eating. Winter helped to clean up and wash the dishes.
After cleaning up in the kitchen. They went to shower together and took an hour or two almost🙄.
After getting dressed up, the two decided to take a walk in the forest that is just behind the house.
It's a private property that K bought and gifted to his little brother on his birthday.
All throughout their walk. Winter attentively listened as Jake told her everything that happened when he was away. He looked so immersed and still caught up with the thought of meeting such strong and magnificent people.
It was almost lunch when they got back to the house and the two decided to go to the hotel so Winter could meet Jungwon again. And maybe Niki and Jay if they already went back.
By the time they got there, Winter was suddenly greeted by Ningnig who just appeared out of nowhere to hug her.
Winter panicked a little bit knowing about her blood thirst. But Ningning assured that she can already control herself after gaining a strong amount of power.
"Come on! Let's go to my room! I have a lot! To tell you!!!" She said with so much excitement and then turned to Jake with a big smile. "Don't worry! I'm not gonna eat your wife!" She said playfully before leaving with Winter.
Jake watched in amusement as they walked away from him while sheepishly giggling at each other.
He decided to go back inside as well and ran to Sunghoon and Jungwon. It looks like Sunghoon was showing him around and telling him every detail of the hotel, even the smallest ones.
"Hey." He went to them and the two greeted him.
"Hyung. This place is great. I can't believe you remembered the designs I drew and put it in here." Jungwon stated. He looks very very impressed. And quite emotional.
"Of course. This hotel was our dream. I can never forget everything you told me in order to make this." He said and brushed the younger's hair.
"But you're here now. If you want. We can rebuild this hotel! With our ideas together." He said to him and Jungwon looked up to him. His eyes looked like there was a galaxy painted in it.
He likes the suggestion but the hotel is big so he knows that Jake used a huge amount of his powers to build it.
"That would be a great idea." Sunghoon chuckled and looked to see Jungwon's reaction.
"But… I'm not sure. You're the one who made the hotel. And it has been like this for years… It will be a shame to just destroy it." Jungwon said as he pouted and looked up at the two with his bunny eyes.
"Aww. Brother! I'd tear this place apart right now if that's what it takes to make you rebuild this with me." Jake cooed at him and wrapped the boy in his embrace.
"So what if it's been here for years? If you don't feel like tearing it apart. We can always expand the place and you can pitch in a lot of your ideas." Sunghoon said to him and Jungwon only nodded in response. Quite feeling comfortable from the attention from the two older.
"Right. You said that the forest is the Daoan pack's territory. Now that they're back in their home. Is it still okay for me to fly there?" Jungwon suddenly asked.
"Hmmm. I think so. We hold a good relationship with their pack. And you're just gonna fly there anyway. But if you want to hunt, you still need to leave their territory though. Since it's still part of the treaty that we only hunt on our respective territories." Sunghoon explained to the younger.
"I understand. I kinda wanna take a flight. But I'm afraid I might cause trouble." Jungwon chuckled while scratching the back of his head.
"If you want. We can go with you." Jake suggested.
"Is that okay? Shouldn't we stay here while Heeseung hyung is away?" Jungwon asked since he was made aware that the master of the hotel must stay inside otherwise it will crumble down to the ground even with guests inside.
"It's alright. Ningning is here so nothing will happen to the hotel. We can go to the forest for an hour or two. I'm sure Heeseung won't mind for old time's sake." Jake said and he suddenly sounded excited.
Jungwon eventually agreed and the three went out to the forest and even made it past their territory to the Daoan's. Jungwon decided to run with the two since they both can't fly.
Usually, he'd feel very far from them but Jake and Sunghoon may have been aware of how he thinks. So they made sure that nothing changed from how Jungwon remembers them.
And it made him feel grateful and that he is still close to them.
About two minutes after they passed the border. Jungwon panicked a little bit when wolves started running from behind and even on their side.
He immediately looked at the other two vampires with him but they didn't look worried at all.
Jake sensed that Jungwon was suddenly nervous and worried so he immediately assured him.
"It's alright! They won't hurt us!" Jake yells at him.
"They're wolves!!!!"
"They're friends, Jungwon!!!!!" Sunghoon yelled as well.
Jake decided to stop running and so did the other two. Jungwon quickly stood close with his hyungs as he glared at the wolves who had also stopped running and started walking around them in a rotating manner.
Although he could recognize some of them. Half of the wolves are familiar and they are the ones who accompanied them to the fight in Arcadia.
The biggest among the group. The one with the mint greenish fur. He stepped forward before shifting to his human form.
He immediately went over to exchange greetings with Sunghoon and Jake. Then he turned to the smaller boy with them.
Jungwon observed him carefully. He had this very bright and innocent smile on his face and no matter how much he loathes wolves. Looking at the man in front of him feels like meeting an angel.
He remembers him now. He is K's first official. Sunghoon also mentioned to him that during their first encounter with the Daoan pack. Jay always say that K's first official is a very strong and worthy opponent.
"You must be Jungwon… Do you remember me?"
