THE WORLD WE MADE-151
At Alexandria, Max immediately asked the Warden if he could see his girlfriend and baby, which took a bit of persuading and talking most of Ally's hours, but the man let him go. Max quickly went to the infirmary where he saw Alice laying on a bed alone in her own room.
He immediately went over, sitting down on the chair and took her pale hand in his. She was sleeping, her face was paler than usually with tear tracks covering them. Max caressed the back of her hand before leaning down and kissed it as he waited for her to wake.
And when she did, her once sparking blue eyes were now a dull blue as they pierced into his emerald ones. He slipped off the chair and sat on his knees in front of her, resting his free hand on her cheek.
"How are you?" He whispered, pushing a bit of her hair out of her face. Alice said something that he couldn't quite hear. "What did you say, Al?"
"Where's my baby?" She said, louder this time. "Where's our baby, Maxie?"
Max frowned, his face filled with confusion and worry. "Alice, what do you mean?"
Alice's eyes filled with tears. "They took her. Where is she? I want my baby."
"I-I don't know where she is. But I'll find her, Ally. I love you." He kissed her forehead before he walked out of the infirmary and into the Warden's office. "Where's my kid?"
The Warden looked up from where he was talking with Negan. "Safe. Now get out,"
Anger flood Max making him storm over to the man, grabbed a handful of his shirt and pull him up out of his chair. He shoved the Warden so hard against the wall that it made a dent where the man's head was.
"Where is my daughter?! Where is she?!" Max shouted as chaos erupted behind him. "Where did you take her?! Tell me, you fucking bastard!"
He was grabbed him behind by Negan making him let go of the Warden. Negan never seen the boy this angry, but if it was his child he would be this angry too. Max shoved himself out of Negan's hold before he tried attacked the Warden again, screaming 'where was his daughter?'.
Max was hit in the back of the head by a trooper cussing him to fall limp in Negan's arms, who caught him as he fall. When he startled awake by troopers storming into the windmill where him and his people slept, and grabbed ahold of him and his people. Everyone was herded out of the windmill and into the field where the Warden stood.
Max noticed Ally who was standing on the other side of group, looking absolutely devastated and disheveled. Two troopers stood behind her, probably the ones that forced her out of the infirmary.
"There is a traitor in our midst. Someone who things he's above the rules. This prisoner had admitted to spearheading a rebellion." The Warden as the troopers dragged Negan in front of the group. "Any co-conspirators will be given the benefit of the doubt. I trust they were not acting of their free will. So, only he will be punished." He pointed at Negan, who spat a mouth full of blood at him with a smirk. "But it's important that you're all here to see. To remember."
Violet who was standing near Max do a large wave of déjà vu as Annie broke awya from the troopers who were holding her and ran towards her husband. "Negan!"
"No, Annie, don't!" Kelly shouted as a trooper grabbed a hold of her.
"Hey, hey, it's okay." Negan told his wife who started sobbing.
"No, no." The dark skinned woman sobbed, looking desperately at her husband.
"I love you." He smiled at her.
"Get him on his knees!" The Warden sneered, as his troopers shoved Negan to his knees. He then looked at Max. "Being him as well."
"No, no!" Ally screamed, shooting forward before stumbling onto the ground when her legs gave out. "No, not him!"
Max was grabbed by to troopers and lead to where Negan was kneeling and shoved to the ground next to him. Troopers pulled Alice up holding her back like Annie as the Warden ignored the women. "This is what happens when your forget your place! Take your positions."
"No!" Annie and Alice cried as all troopers lined up and aimed their guns at their husband and boyfriend. "Don't let him do this! No!"
"Ready. Aim..." The Warden suddenly stopped and walked over to the women. "There are no martyrs here."
"No! No!" Negan yelled as the man grabbed his wife and Alice. "That wasn't our deal!"
"Leave her alone! No!" Max shouted with the man as they both struggled against the rope that was tied around their hands.
"Take me! Take me!" Negan screamed as Alice and Annie were shoved down next to their husband and boyfriend.
"You will feel this punishment!" The Warden snarled.
"That's is not what you said! No! You take me! Just me!" Negan shouted, not wanting Max, Alice, or Annie to die.
The Warden ignored him and to his troopers to ready and aim, Negan continued to scream for them just to take him as Ezekiel came out in front of them with his hands raised.
"What are you doing?" Negan asked.
"Buying us time." Zeke replied as snow fall around them. All of Alexandria followed him and surrounded Negan, Annie, Alice, and Max.
"I admire your bravery, prisoners." The Warden said, before looking at his troopers. "Shoot them all."
"You don't have to do this." Zeke spoke, trying to buy them sometime. "This world is broken, but we don't have to be."
Suddenly a gunshot went off and the Warden dropped dead, revealing Sally and Cassie behind him. A trooper turned their gun on her and went to shoot her when he was shot even before he only lift his gun.
"Lower you guns." Sally ordered, aiming her gun at the rest of the troopers. "Or my snipers will shot to kill. I suggest you put those guns down."
The troopers lowered their guns and put them on the ground as Daryl and Connie came out from behind the silo. Cassie immediately ran to her dad, who took in his arms and hugged her tightly. Sally took out her walkie talkie and order someone named Rogers to move in.
Max wrapped his arms around Alice, coddling her head as he cried. He then helped her up as his dad came over to him and hugged both of them, before asking where his granddaughter was.
"They took her after I gave birth." Alice replied as Sally and Carol came over to them. "They didn't even let me hold her. I just want my baby."
"We'll find her, Ally." Daryl said as Maggie called Sally to over.
They stood behind the bus before Maggie pulled her into a hug. "I missed, Tilly."
Matilda smiled, hugging her best friend's wife back. "Me too. I'll explained everything after we take down the bitch."
"So, what's your plan?" Maggie asked with grin.
Tilly had a matching grin as she explained the plan before saying. "We can keep the rest of Alexandria here. I can secure in here and the perimeter. My people will keep the rest of our people safe."
Maggie nodded as she watched Matilda speak into her walkie talkie. "Units 3 and 4 report to Alex immediately. I repeat all Units 3 and 4 to Alex immediately. Nona, and Katana, report to Alex immediately, but do not enter until my signal."
"Unit 3 is in route." A woman's voice came out of the walkie.
"Unit 4 is in route." Then a male's voice echoed out.
"Nona and Katana are in route and waiting for your signal." A familiar male's voice crackled from the walkie causing Maggie to look at her in shock.
Matilda smiled. "Copy that, see you then."
By morning, Matilda's people arrived at Alexandria causing her to explained who they are and why they were here, the Alexandrians were a bit hesitant but Maggie stepped in and reassured them everything was going to be fine.
Cassie stood in front of her dad with her bow and quiver wrapped around her shoulders as her dad reassured her baby brother and RJ that they're be back soon.
"I'm coming with." She said making her dad look up at her.
Daryl shook his head. "Nah. I need you here."
"That's shit." Cassie snapped, looking at her dad.
"Watch your mouth." He says before she cut off him.
"This isn't the future my my brothers wanted. Not what my mom and grandpa fought for. Not yet. What you're gonna do can help our people. Not just us, but maybe everyone everywhere. I want to be part of that." She told him, strongly. "To make what my family believed in real."
"I agree with Cassie." Judith spoke, standing up next to her sister. "My mom, dad, and sister didn't fight for a future like this. I'm coming too."
Daryl looked between both of his girls, each other them showing a part of their father and mother. Carol pipped in, looking down at him. "We've all been so focused on what's right in front of us for so long. You two are thinking about what's after. It's a good thing. Maybe we could all do a little more of that."
"Alright. But you two stay right with me, okay?" Daryl told his girls who nodded before standing with Carl and RJ. "Come on." They walked over to Nabila. "Can you watch them? We'll be back soon. Thank you."
Cassie followed after her dad and rest of the group towards the bus. When they got on the train, Max and Alice stood with Gabe and Rosita talking on how they were going to get their kids back, while she sat next to her mom at the end of the bus, nobody was around them.
"Mommy," She whispered. "When are you going to tell everyone who you are?"
Matilda looked around her eyes, danced between her baby sister and her husband who were a few feet away from them. "Soon. I promise." She took out the walkie. "Nona, Katana, move in."
"Copy that. Moving in now." Her dad's voice cracked lowly out of the walkie.
Cassie lean her against her mom's arm as her dad, sister, and Carol came over to the and sat down. Judith leaned against Daryl as she said. "Haven't heard from my mom in a long time. Tried a few times, but nothing came back."
"Could be a lot of reasons for that." Carol says, sitting across from them. "But she can take care of herself better than just about everyone I've ever known."
"She'd be real proud of ya." Daryl added, causing Matilda to compress a smile because she know Michonne was proud of her daughter and so is Rick. "Your dad, too. And your sister."
"Carl and Lee, too?" Judith asked, looking up at her uncle.
Daryl nodded as Carol spoke. "You three are a lot alike."
"They died saving people."
"Yeah, they did."
Judith looked down at her lap, sadly. It caused Matilda to want to take her baby sister in her arms and never let her go. "I wish I had more time with them. Tilly, too. I wish we had more time to just remember them."
"We will, Judith." Carol smiled, nodding.
"And when this is over, I'm gonna tell you every story I remember about all the people that loved you. C'here." Daryl says, wrapping his arm around his niece.

Cassie stayed next to her father, following the rules he had set when she would go on missions with him. As much as she watched to near her mom, she had to do what she was told by her dad. She was crouching with the group behind a gate outside of Commonwealth waiting for Mercer to show up.
"Hey, we are sitting ducks. He ain't coming, and we can't wait." Negan said from where he was behind them.
"It's time for a new plan." Carol says.
"Guys, please. Mercer's gonna show up." Princess tried to reassure them that her boyfriend will come.
"We're running out of time." Daryl said.
"I'm gonna head around, try to find another way to slip in. Be careful." Carol says before maneuvering out through the group.
Maggie glanced at Matilda, before saying. "There only four of them. We could take 'em."
"Those guards go missing, clocks ticking on us." Rosita spoke up.
"Hey!" Judith whispered from where her and Cassie were looking out through the gate.
Two of the guards were coming up near them thinking they heard something before their walkie went off. "Sector D, gather all available units and repost to the East Gate immediately. Mercer needs bodies to deal with an incoming swarm."
"Copy." Both of the troopers said before one said. "Sir, does that include Tunnel H?"
"Yes, that includes Tunnel H." The person said coming from the walkie.
"So, are we supposed to just abandon our post?"
"God damn it, soldier, it's locked! We've got it covered in this end. Stop wasting time. Move!" The person shouted through the walkie.
The first troopers called for all his men to move making all the troopers in Sector D to leave the area. Cassie looked at her family and nodded. "We're good."
"You sure?" Daryl asked. Cassie looked back and nodded. "Alright, let's go."
As they headed into Sector D, they hurried through the tunnel before they all climbed the latter and out into the main hall. It was empty and eerily quiet. Matilda stand next to Maggie and Max as her daughter said. "What's wrong?"
"Something ain't right." Her dad replied, feeling something the eeriness. He looked around and saw the doors behind them was chained up, so where they ones in front of them.
Tyler Davis called out for them. "Come on, guys! We're almost there!"
"Get down!" Daryl shouted as gunfire erupted from above them.
Everyone took cover, Matilda grabbed Maggie pulling her back behind one of the pillars as her son did the same with Ally. Cassie was between Judith and her dad as she loaded her bow with an arrow before firing one straight at one of the men above them. Her arrow stuck right it the center of his head, causing his body to fall over the railing.
Half of their group were killed, leaving the rest of them to fight Pamela's men off. Cassie shot another man before she saw Pamela took the gun from one of her men and pointed to at her mother.
She ran towards her mom, pushing her out of the way as she was hit in the shoulder by the bullet. The impact of the bullet caused to her small body to fly backwards, sliding across the floor as her father's screams pierced her ears.
"No! No, no, no!" Daryl screamed, dropping his gun and rushed over to his daughter. He gathered her up in his arms, holding her head in his hand. "Wake up, Cassidy. Cassie, wake up. Wake up!"
The gunfire stopped as everyone looked on in horror. Max felt like he couldn't breath as his dad picked up his sister's body. First, his daughter was missing and now his sister was dying. Matilda took ahold of her son, leading him and Alice as they followed behind Daryl.
Max run beside his father and Alice as they ran down the street. Zeke pointed down the road. "The clinic's not far now!" A truck blocked their way causing them to go down a different. "This way! This way!"
Suddenly more trucks blocked their way on each side of them, as they started moving barricades. "They're not following us." Carol says.
"Wait! What is that!" Magna yelled as growling of the walkers echoed around them.
"They're pinning us in!" Zeke shouted, when the horde started to come towards them.
Matilda looked around, the plan wasn't going the way her and Maggie planned. Her eyes caught something causing them to widen, one of the walkers was climbing over the barricades.
"What the fuck?" Negan voiced for everyone.
They were pinned on each end, Luke and Jules came out of the herd before Daryl yelled for them to move. They tried to hold off the herd so that they could get Daryl into the alleyway with Cassie. When they did, the rest of them were surrounded.
Cassie's eyes fluttered open as she looked up at her dad. "Daddy?"
Daryl sprinted to the hospital and bursted into the doors, shouting. "Help me! Help!" Cassie woke up again but she was barely conscious as her dad's voice sounded like it was underwater. "You'll be okay..."
He placed her one of the stretcher before running off to find help. Cassie's eyes fluttered, open and closed as two troopers came down the hallway. Her dad was throw to the ground, unconscious, as she saw movement from outside.
Walkers were coming towards them making her slip off the bed and slam the door shut, struggling a bit when a walker pushed against it. She then pushed a deck against it, finally closing it before she fell unconscious next to her dad.
