XLVI. My Thoughts On "AI"

You may have seen the trend on Twitter where a lot of people are protesting against AI (artificial intelligence). While the focus is mostly on art, I also wondered about why there aren't any talks about AI-generated writing, music or videos.
Based on several accounts, AI entirely relies on certain prompts or key words entered into the program. You may have to tweak things until you finally get the desired results. I may have heard of DALL-E, Midjourney and Nightcafe (a website for AI art) in the art community.
However, I have only heard about the use of AI in videos and audiobooks from the British channel JOLLY on YouTube. The difference is the two hosts were able to give consent to the AI and showed us how they did it for transparency. They have worked with Respeech for the audiobook, while programs like Synthesizer and Descript were used to create an AI version for one of the hosts.
     The issue I had is how AI is being pushed to totally replace humans in creative spaces. Whenever you try making valid points as to why it's a bad thing, you are immediately bombarded with comments stating how you should accept these changes and everything on the Internet is made available for everybody to use in any way they want (regardless of copyright).
    They tell you to get a real job and not depend on hobbies you are able to make a living of. Honey, whatever it is still counts as a real job and the double quote "real job" is subjective.
     Not to mention a lot of artists stating how they don't always have the option to prevent the AI from using their works. DeviantArt has tried something like this and if I'm correct, they have a form where you can do this all at once instead of manually opting out each of your works.
      The use of AI can be helpful in case you wanna translate something from your head. If I want a starry-themed book cover with gradient blues and purples or couldn't type in your school essays between working hours, you can do that. I would let everybody know that AI was used here.
Even the famous Hayao Miyazaki condemns AI and states how it's an insult to life itself.
     There is just so many things we have to learn about AI. You know what sets a human and a machine apart? The other has a heart and soul with years of hardwork while the other just copies everything without nuance and understanding. Even if you replace the entire office building with robots, you still need the help of humans to make them work.
