-Venus POV-
I am now at the Royal Diner with Hodgins, Vincent, and Sweets eating lunch as the two boy's are trying to stay in my good side again by buying me lunch. Vincent was first to speak, "Leukemia doesn't just appear in two weeks." Sweets then asks, "What about radiation?" Hodgins answers, "There's got to be some source of radiation in that place that could cause cancer. Someone accidentally irradiates this poor woman, and then covers it up by freezing her and then smashing her remains into little bits?" I look out of the window again as I see Angie's dad across the street again as I smile and then start to chuckle as the three look at me confused. I then look at Hodgins, "We are definitely getting even real soon Hodgins and I am not going to try and stop anything he has in mind for you this time."
They were all confused as I point outside of the window for Hodgins as he then sees him as I tell the other two, "I am just talking about getting back at Hodgins for forgetting to tell me about the experiments and for hitting me with a turkey dipped in liquid nitrogen." I could see Vincent getting a bit jittery since he was also apart of this as I just smile at him, "You don't have to worry Vincent as long you buy me lunch for the next 2 week I will absolutely forgive you." He sighs in relief, "Thank God. I will absolutely buy you lunch everyday for the next two weeks." Sweets then says, "You know, ironically, intelligent people have been known to commit murders in ludicrously complicated ways, virtually ensuring their capture." Sweets notices Hodgins looking out of the window and looks to see what he is looking at. He sees Angie's dad as he asks, "Isn't that...?" Hodgins nods, "Uh, it's Angela's dad." I chuckle and nod, "Yes, it is." Vincent looks and seems him as well, "It's not uncommon for men to fear their lover's male parent." Hodgins then says, "You know what creeps me out? The way that English people say 'lover."
Sweets then says, "You know, attacking Vincent like that clearly indicates what he said is true." Hodgins looks at him, "That man is from Texas. He told me that if I messed up... uh, I don't remember what he said exactly, but he mentioned the key, 'G Demolish,' and it sounded pretty bad" I nod, "It's bad... well for you it's definitely bad." Vincent then says, "The blues is known as the Devil's music because those most adept are thought to have made a pact with the Devil, and thus fear no earthly law because they're already doomed to eternity in hell." I sip on my lemonade, "That really interesting." Hodgins gave him a not amused look as Sweets says, "Harsh." Hodgins then says, "Thank you, Vincent. I-I feel much better now." Sweets then says, "I happened to have a great deal of insight into the whole blues culture. I could talk to him for you." Hodgins shakes his head, "Yeah, thanks, but, uh... to late." We look back outside seeing that Angie's dad was gone. I then get a text as I look at who it was as I smile, "I got to go. In gotta meet Papa G and I don't want to keep him waiting." They look at me ask Hodgins asks, "What does he need to see you for? What are you two going to talk about?" I shrug giving him a smirk, "I am not sure... but don't worry my punishment for you will come real soon Hodgins." I leave as I hear Hodgins then says, "The top two scariest people are teaming up against me..."
Temp, Booth, and I are in Diane's office as two of two people where testing seeing if there was any sign of radioactivity around the room as we all wore our gear. Temp then looks at us one of the testers comes over to us, "Everything's coming up clean." Booth asks, "Nothing?" "Nope." We nod going more into the room as Temp says, "There should still be some evidence of radioactivity." The guy shakes his head, "There is nothing radioactive in this room." I nod, 'Thank you." He nods as the two men leave and we remove our gear off our face. Booth sighs and sits down on the desk chair, "God, I don't know how you wear these things. Hot suits." Temp seems to notice something as she goes over behind him, "Whoa." "What?" I also go over to see what she was doing as she pushes Booth back on the seat as he says, "Oohh... right there. What are you doing, Bones?" "Well, this stain here must have hit Diane Sidman almost exactly where the tumor formed." I chuckle as Booth gets up quickly, "You're testing me on the cancer chair?" Temp then says, "Well, you're wearing a suit. Plus, it's not radioactive anymore." I then add, "We're going to need to take this chair." Booth shakes his head, "No, no, no! You doesn't just go around doing human testing on people, Bones. I got to go to the bathroom." I chuckle as he runs away as I then decide to add, "Didn't you just touch it with your bare hands Temp?" She nods as I laugh a bit more.
We are back in the lab with Hodgins next to me as we start explaining about the chair as I start off, "The discoloration in the fabric was not radioactive, but because of your suspicions we tested for daughter isotopes." Temp asks, "Daughter isotopes?" Hodgins nods speaking, "Daughter isotopes are what's left behind after radioactive isotopes decay." Temp nods, "So, there was radioactive isotope on Diane Sidman's chair." We nod as Hodgins add, "Yeah, a strong one. Is anyone at that place doing cancer research?" Temp and I shake our heads as she says, "No, it's not that kind of place." "Yeah, right. 'To eternity, to glory, to the future." I then ask him, "You don't like the Collar Institute?" "Up and forward are only two directions. Science should look in all directions." He then looks at Temp, "You taught me that." Temp questions, "I did?" "Every day." "Thank you." Temp and I then leave to meet with Booth to go back to Collar Institute.
We are going down stairs to Lab 7 as we hear two people groaning inside as we stop as Booth then tells us, "Okay, hold on." He takes out his gun as I follow in suit with mine. He looks at Temp, "Just get the door." She asks, "What?" "Get the door. Open it. Now." Temp does as Booth goes in first with me right behind him as we point our guns over at the two people. We see that they were having sex as I grew red quickly and covered my eyes as Booth says, "You got to be kidding me. You know, it's like Club Med Mensa around here." I then feel Booth's hand on my back as he guides me back outside as Temp laughs a bit as he asks her, "What are you laughing at?" We are outside for about another good 10 minutes as Booth says, "You know, most people you bust in on them having sex with a gun, you know... it kind of disrupts the mood." Temp then says, "Perhaps they decided to start all over again from the beginning."
She sits next to him on the ground as I stay standing as she laughs a bit again, "It's just sex, Booth." He shakes his head, "It's not that. Look, I'm not a prude." Temp then adds, "Well, you have what they would call hang-ups." Booth looks around the room a bit then looks back talking more lowly, "You know that guy, Landis?" Temp and I nod our heads as he says to Temp, "He's about to make a move on you." I chuckle as Temp asks, "How do you know?" "Because it is the rational and smart thing to do, and he is all about that. And I see how he looks at you." "How he looks at me? He's blind." "That's too literal, Bones. His fiancee was just murdered, and he's already moving on." "Well, she's gone. He has accepted it." "Look, good people, they leave mark on each other." I nod, "I agree with him Temp. The least we could do for them is let them fade away naturally." Booth nods adding, "Not, you know, scrape them off or paint over them with new marks." Temp then asks him, "So, you're not a prude?" He chuckles, "Moi? Hey, I am a very fun and, uh..." He gets up and does a little pose, "very sexy guy. That's right." Temp and I laugh a bit as she then says, "So, you just think that people if two people care about each other, they leave metaphorical marks which should be allowed to fade naturally?" "You heard me, but you just didn't understand me." "I wonder that about you all the time."
We then hear the door open as Jennifer comes out, "My apologies. Were you looking for me?" I just nod as Temp says, "We need to see your radioactive isotopes." Booth then adds, "Hey, how you doing there, pal?" We look to see Milton coming out as well as Booth continues, "Huh, did you knock one out of the park?" "I'll be off then, Jennifer." "Good-bye, Milton. Thank you very much." "You're more than welcome." Jennifer then leads us into the lab as Booth says, "Thank you, Milton.' 'No, thank you, Jennifer.' Everyone is so polite here except for the murder and the cheating." I nod as I then say to Jennifer, "We can get a warrant for the isotopes if that's what you require." "That won't be necessary. I don't know what use you could have with these. I haven't used them for months, but..." She takes them out but becomes quiet as I ask, "Something wrong?" "Some of my vials are missing." Boothe then says, "Hmm?" I then say, "We'll need to know how many aside from yourself had access to them in the last month." "Everyone in the institute had access. Everyone."
The team had figured out that the body was vibrating causing it to shatter into pieces, so Temp, Booth, and I are know going back to Collar Institute as Booth asks, "So, it had to be Milton Alvaredo, right?" Temp asks, "Why?" "He's the one who's working on transporting matter through vibrations, right?" I nod, "Yes, he is." Temp asks, "You understood that?" "Hey. He kills Dr. Sidman, flash-freezes her, and then tries to transport her to outer space, the moon, whatever, and then ends up with frozen chili con carne." I nod as Temp says to him, "I'm very impressed, Booth." "Yeah, well, you know, I've learned a lot from you two... and a lot from watching the Discovery Channel with Parker." I chuckle then add, "Milton Alvaredo is not our only suspect." "Jennifer Keating. Well, I mean, her only motive is revenge, and you know, like you say, that's just not logical, and despite her being, you know, a sex kitten scientist, she's still logical." I shake my head, "Nice try Ranger, but I wasn't talking about Jennifer Keating. It's Chris Beaudette. His project concerns extracting energy from earthquakes." "Oh." Temp adds, "Plus, Dr. Collar is working on echolocation for the blind." Booth nods then says, "So, basically, we're back to square one."
Temp then says, "Well, I suggest we find an apparatus capable of shattering a flash-frozen human cadaver." I nod, "I agree." Booth then says, "Apparatus. Right, gotcha." We are in Chris Beaudette work space as Booth calls out, "Dr. Earthquake? Okay, so, tell me what I'm looking for here." Temp answers, "Any apparatus that might facilitate the creation of a sonic standing wave." Booth nods, "Right. Tell me what I'm looking for again." I chuckle and pat his arm, "Your leaning on it Ranger." "Right. I knew that. All right. Look at this." He looks inside the window, "Ooh." He opens it as I go inside first to take a look as Booth continues, "All right, I'll just get, uh, Forensics to, uh, look for blood." I shake my head, "No, there won't be any blood. The remains are frozen solid by this point. The natural frequency of the human body is between three and seven Hertz." Booth then asks, "Humans have a natural frequencies?" Temp speaks, "Naturally, that would increase dramatically if the body is frozen solid." Someone then closes the door as we look as Booth tries to push the door as Temp then says, "Forget it, Booth. We're in a high pressure chamber. That door can withstand a force pf at least..." They both stop as we hear a low humming as I say, "Oh, no." Booth asks, "Oh, no? What oh, no?" "We have to get out of here." "We have to get out of here or what, we'll explode?" We then hear a high-pitched ear-piercing tone that makes us yell and groan trying to cover our ears as much as we can.
I then say, "What we have to do here is..." I groan in pain as Temp continues my sentence, "We have to try to counteract the-the wavelength." Booth asks, "The what?" Temp and I start singing high-pitch tones as he follows along as well. He then says, "It's not working." I then say, "If we stop, our brains will turn to pudding. We continue with our high pitches while groaning in pain. We slowly start falling onto the ground as Temp was the first one to pass out as I look at Booth, "Shoot the window Booth." He nods taking out his gun as I finally knock out. The next thing I know I am opening my eyes with Temp looking over at me and Booth as she yells, "Booth? Venus? Hello?! Are you both okay? Are you all right? Can you hear me?" I get up nodding, "Yeah... a bit." Booth says, "What?" Temp says to him, "Are you all right?" "Oh, I'm all right. How about you two?" I nod as we hear Landin say, "I called paramedics. They should be here any second." Temp yelled, "Landis pulled us out." "I heard shots." Temp helps us up as Booth yells, "So..." Temp asks, "Booth, are you okay?" "... it was my shooting that saved our lives." Landin then says, "You should have been dead in five to seven seconds." "Bones, Blueberry, it was my gun." Temp then says, "Our sonic interference idea worked." "It wasn't your siren..." I laugh at both of them as Temp says again, "Can you hear me?" "Aa! Bones, it was my gun." "If I hadn't started interference, we'd be dead before you started shooting." I kept on laughing at the two as Landin then puts a hand on their shoulders, "You two might want to try resting before communicating. Don't need to be deaf as well as blind." Booth and I ask him, "What?"
We are now at the FBI headquarters in the interrogation room with Milton, Landin, and Chris on one side of the table while Booth, Sweets, Temp and I are on the other side of the table. Temp was first to speak, "One of you killed Diane Sidman." Booth adds, "And tried to kill us." Sweets adds, "I think we can rule out sexual jealousy as a motive for this murder?" All of them nod and say at the same time, "Of course we can." Temp and I nod as she says, "Yeah, of course we can." Booth then says, "Whoa! wait a second. Why? Because these robots don't feel like humans?" Sweets shakes his head, "No, because radiation poisoning is the opposite of a crime of passion." I then say, "Well, my people say that Diane Sidman was stabbed to death with a pencil." "Well, indicating that the murderer suddenly became impatient, or approached a deadline. You figure out that deadline, you'll figure out your murderer." Temp then says, "Well it has to be the publishing deadline from the Journal." Sweets nod, "Yeah." Booth then says, "Look at this, huh? Found blood in your resonance chamber. Obviously, you can't see that, but it's right there." Temp then says, "That's not blood. That's not blood." Booth whispers to us, "Luminol means blood." Temp then says, "There's no evidence of smearing." Sweets then says, "If the murderer had seen blood, he'd have cleaned it up." Landin, "Luminol reacts with copper, iron peroxides and cyanide." Chris adds, "Which provides for a number of false positives. Vegetables, fruit pulp." Milton adds, "Cleaning agents, insecticides."
I nod adding, "glues, rust-remover, ketchup, seaweed, sap, algae." Sweets then asks, "Is this luminol stuff ever useful? I'm asking because, it... Yes? It is?" I nod as he continues, "Fine. I'll shut up." I then say, "Ranger?' He whispers, "What?" I then say, "Luminol reacts with pond scum." "So?" I give him a look as he finally understands and nods, "Right. Right. Pond Scum Scottie. You're our guy. You're under arrest. Knew it all along. Let's go." Temp and I see Landin stand up as he goes over to the two and then punches Booth as Booth grunts. "Oh, God! Ow!" Landin then says, "That's for killing my fiancee." I try not to laugh as Temp says, "One person to your left, Dr. Collar." Landin tries again and punches Milton causing Milton to fall onto the ground as Landin then says, "My apologies, Agent Booth. My echo-locator must have malfunctioned." I still not try not to laugh still as I hold onto Sweets arm as we watch Landin go over to Temp, "This may not be the most apropos time, but..."
Booth then says, "Oh, here we go." Sweets asks, "Here we go what?" Landin then says, "I was wondering... Could I have your phone number?" Sweets looks surprised, "Wow!" Booth nods, "Told you." "Really?" Temp then says, "I... have been considering how to respond if you asked, and have decided upon no." Chris then gets up, "I can go right?" Booth nods, "Yup." "Good. 'Cause I have some actual save-the-world work to do. Dr. Collar." They all exit out as Booth grabs his jaw as Temp goes over to him, "Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm all right. You know what? You're one of the only smart person I really like." "Thank you. Who's the other person?" I stand up straight, That's me!" He nods, "You know it." Sweets then says, "Oh, that's sweet. What about me?" We had already exited the door as Booth did not answer closing the door.
We are at the bar as Temp says, "So, Diane Sidman agreed to publish Milton Alvaredo only if he shared credit with her." Booth then says, "Right, so she said that he was using his theories about the God Particles..." Temp corrected him, "Particle. There's only one." "Right. Particle to vibrate the pond scum." I then add, "He gives her cancer, but she lives too long." Booth nods, "Wow! Yeah, then he, kills her with a pencil and feeds her to crows so he doesn't have to share a credit. Wow, that is cold." Temp adds, "And creepy?" Booth looks at her, "I didn't mean to call you creepy." "You said I have a creepy mode." "I apologize, okay? Look, I wasn't in my element." "Well, every element is your element." "No, that is not true. Okay, listen. We just got to stop hanging out with geniuses, because you're gonna figure out that I'm really stupid." I laugh, "What? Don't worry about that Ranger. You are smart in different areas that even we won't even know how it works."
He smiles as Temp says, "I figured out a long time ago how stupid you are." I try not to laugh as Booth doesn't look amused as Temp continues, "What I just said is true, and yet, it really sounded wrong. What I should say is that I don't care how stupid you are." I giggle still keeping most of my laughter to myself as I say, "It's not any better." She tries to explain it better, "There is intelligence, which I have" The team then comes in sitting next to us as Temp calls out Vincent, "and Mr. Nigel-Murray." "Oh, thank you." "And Sweets, even though his is so misdirected as to be meaningless." Booth smirks a bit, "Right." Sweets says, "Wow. Backhand full of knuckles with that compliment." "And Hodgins. And Angela... not so much, but she's very talented." "Thank you very much." "Your welcome." "But then there's another quality, which is the ability to use intelligence. That is what you have." Booth smiles more, "Thanks, Bones." Angie then says, "Hey, wait a minute. Speaking of Hodgins, has anybody seen Hodgins?" The shakes their head as I get a message from Angie's Dad as I smile and chuckle, "Don't worry Angie, he's being handled very well right now. He's just getting his punishment from me." I laugh as the others look a bit worried for Hodgins as Angie finally figures out what I meant as she says, "Oh, God." I just shrug it off as I raise my hand to the bartender, "Could I have another lemonade?"
