"No..." said Koga, shaking his head.
"Alright...what about this one?" Pendergast placed another piece of paper down.
"Are you kidding me? We can get two knights to take care of that..." Koga replied.
"What about these?" said Bean placing a piece of paper down on the table.
"That one sounds so boring!" Koga cried.
"Jeez you're picky you know that..." said Elfo, looking at Koga.
The group was looking through quest forms that were sent to Dreamland. There were at least three boxes full of them. They had been going through these boxes for at least half an hour to find one that would suit what Koga was trying to do. Koga huffs. "Man, this is giving me memories of the stupid fetch quest that I would do back when I started my adventures. Seriously, how does someone lose a necklace on top of a mountain surrounded by frost trolls? Like, why were you up there, and how did you escape?!" He said as he rocked back and forth with his legs propped on the table. Luci picked up one of the papers and read through it. "A farmer has lost his cow in the enchanted forest and needs assistant retrieving it." Luci placed down the paper and picked up another. "Somebody stole my sweet roll. Please look for the culprit..."
"UGH! What the heck is up with these people? What the hell do I care about a damn sweet roll?" Koga said annoyed. "And how do sweet rolls end up being stolen?"
Elfo bats his eyes at Koga "I have you know that sweet rolls are the best desserts you can ever have!" He said in an offended tone.
"I'm with Elfo on this one," said Bean "I'd kill someone if they stole my sweet roll."
Pendergast continued to read more requests "I'm starting to see why we never responded to half of these. Annnd...I think most of the people who sent these are dead."
"Good. That means we don't have to do any of these," said Koga
"Well, Koga I guess none of the requests you're looking for are in here," Bean said setting the papers down. Koga lets out a groan and scratches his head. "Jeez, this kingdom is bland when it comes to stuff like this!" Bean nods "Yeah nothing too exciting happens around here. Well besides you arriving and crashing the wedding." She giggled.
"Well, I'm sure some of these are still active. I say we go ahead and help a few of these people out!" said Elfo
Koga shrugs "Sure that works I guess..." He said in a disappointing tone as he reached for one of the papers. But before Koga could read it the door to the room opened up and a man named Harold stepped in. He was a short man with black hair and a thin mustache. He clears his throat. "DREAMLAND HAS BEEN GIVEN ANOTHER QUEST! THE NOTORIOUS BANDITS OF THE PLAINES HAVE ARRIVED IN THE DREAMLAND AND ARE WREAKING HAVOC!"
Koga looked over at Harold. At first, he made an annoyed expression at his loud yelling, but his eyes widened, and he springs to his feet. "Bandits of the Plains?" A grin appeared on Koga's face "EXCELLENT!"
"Huh? Bandits of the Plains?" Bean repeated confused.
"AH! I've heard of these men!" said Pendergast. "They're a gang of bandits that originated in the far Lands of Herrington! They made the plains their base of operation. I heard that the leader is fierce and unforgiving! A monster, a true bandit! His-"
"Ok ok I get it Pendergast. The guy is a real beast," said Bean as she rolled her eyes.
Koga slams his right fist into his left hand while a grin was across his face. "Alright, we found our quest! Pendergast let's get the knights together and head out!" He said turning around to the door. Bean gets up from her seat "We're coming too!" She said excitedly. "NO!" said Pendergast holding his hand out to Bean. "This is a quest to defeat a ferocious team of Bandits! The battlefield is no place for a woman!" Koga laughs "Pendergast I got a friend back at my hometown that would cut off your head if she heard you say that!" He said as he gives a rough slap on Pen's back. "Bean can come of course. She can handle herself." Bean smiled at Koga. She turned to Pen and stuck her tongue out at him before she followed Koga along with Elfo and Luci.
All of the knights were gathered up outside the courtyard and they were all seated on their horses. Pendergast was in front while Bean, along with Elfo and Luci on her horse, stood next to Koga who had seemed to have his attention elsewhere while Pendergast was giving his speech to the knights.
"Alright, men! We are heading out on a quest to fight one of the most well-renowned bloodthirsty groups of men called-"
"And probably women!" Bean chimed in. "Let's not forget women can be bandits too!"
"Erm-Man and woman..." Pendergast corrects himself. "Called the Bandits of the Plains. We will stop these bandits with any means necessary! We will not let these evil bastards harm the land which is Dreamland!"
The knights will let out a loud hoorah with their arms in the air. Pendergast turned to Koga. "Anything you want to say, Koga?" He asked. Koga,
Koga thought about for a moment, and then said. "Watch each other's backs...and don't die,"
Pendergast along with the knights all looked at Koga in shock. Some of the knights looked at each other confused. This was the first time that someone showed genuine care for them besides Pendergast. Pendergast smiled at Koga and he tugs at the reins "ALRIGHT MEN! LET'S MOVE OUT!" Pendergast along with the rest of the knights head out of the courtyard and dash out the exit.

The group had ridden their horses down to the outskirts of Dreamland. Pendergast was leading the charge while Bean, Elfo, Luci, and Koga were behind them along with the knights. As they rode down the dirt path Pendergast could spot something up ahead. It was a carriage that had been raided. The knights stopped and Pen and Koga get off of their horses. The two of them investigated the wreckage.
"They're close," said Pendergast as he kneels to look at the ground "This wreckage is fresh..."
"No blood either," said Koga as he looked around "There's a good possibility that whoever owned this carriage they took them."
"Judging by these footprints there has to be at least five of them..." Pendergast assumed.
"Ten," Koga corrected.
"What?" Pendergast turned around to face him. "How do you know?"
"It's in the air," said Koga as he walked back to his horse. "Everyone get ready for a fight!" He called out to them as he hopped on his horse.
Pendergast did the same. In his head, he was thinking "How does he know that? A gut feeling?"
And so, they rode down the dirt path the group of knights heard loud screaming coming from the distance. As they looked left off into the fields, they could see a man and woman tied up to a thick wooden spike. "HELP US! HELP US PLEASE!" said The Male Farmer. Pendergast gasped "A HUSBAND AND WIFE IN DANGER! COME ON KNIGHTS! WE MUST SAVE THEM!" He said as he rides down the side of the plains and the rest of the knights followed. Koga looked at them as they rode into the distance. The area they were going through had plenty of bushes and the grass was pretty tall. That's when Koga felt something was off. He also felt a bit uneased. That's when his eyes widened. "WAIT! HOLD ON! DON'T FALL FOR THAT!" Koga called out to everyone. But it was too late. The horses let out a cry of pain as their legs were cut apart and all of the knights fell off of their horses. Bean's eyes widened "What the hell?!" She shouts.
Appearing out from the tall grass were men dressed in brown and white-furred attire. They all looked like primal men, and some were covered from head to toe in tattoos. The knights who were laid out on the ground quickly get to their feet and draw their swords. The battle had begun when Pendergast had swayed to the left dodging an attack from a bandit who swung a large ax at him. Pendergast would swing his sword cutting off both the hands of the Bandit and then slicing off his head. Turbish and Mertz were fighting against some pretty well-built bandits, but they were holding them off well. The other knights were at odds with the rest of the bandits. Bean and Koga rode their horses down to the battle. Koga would stand on top of the horse mid trot and jumps off the horse, draws his sword, and slice the bandit's head off. Bean would join in the battle with her sword drawn. One of the bandits came toward Bean and raises his sword and swung downward at her. Bean was able to block the incoming attack, parries, and stabs the sword in his throat then yanks it out. Luci had hopped on Bandit's shoulders and wraps his tail around his neck choking him out. Elfo takes out his knife and hops onto one of the bandits and began stabbing into his chest.
The battle was turning in the knight's favor. But all of that would change when the leader appeared. Everyone had stopped fighting when they saw a large and round man that overshadowed everyone on the plain. The leader named Varick was 8 feet tall, had wide arms and legs, and had a large gut. On his back was a colossal-curved sword that had dried blood stained on it.
"Move you idiots..." said Varick. His voice was deep and raspy. He sounded like he needed to badly clear his throat. The bandits did as they were told. All that was left in front of Varick were Bean, Elfo, Luci, Koga, Pendergast, and the rest of the knights. Varick reached behind his back and grasped his colossal curved sword.
Elfo yelps "Oh my god...look at the size of that guy..."
"A freaking giant? Are you kidding me?!" said Bean in disbelief.
"No, he's not a giant. He's human..." said Koga.
"WHAT?!" said Bean and Elfo together.
"There are humans who have gotten as big as him. But they were never giants. Just really big people," Koga explained.
"HEY! DON'T IGNORE ME AND TALK LIKE YOU AREN'T AFRAID!" Varick spat as he points his large cleaver at the group. "PREPARE TO DIE! I'LL TAKE YOU ALL OUT IN ONE SWING!" He begins twirling his large colossal curved sword over his head. The group could feel the wind pick up quickly around him.
"Everyone follow my lead!" said Koga.
"R-Right!" said Bean nodding.
"We're with you Koga!" said Pendergast. As he along with Turbish, Mertz and the other knights stood beside them.
Varick lets out a loud deep battle cry and swings his colossal curved sword at them. Koga steps in, stances himself firmly, and swings his sword and it clashes with the colossal curved sword. Koga's feet were sinking into the ground due to the impact and weight of Varick, but he was standing his ground. Varick was in shock by this. "How is-how is he holding me back? Who is he?" He said in his head. As Varick was distracted by Koga's strength, Bean, Pendergast, Turbish, and Mertz hoped in. Bean had stabbed Varick in the chest, Turbish and Mertz stabbed in his sides, and Pendergast hopped off Koga's shoulders and swung his sword slashing against Varick's neck. Blood shoots out like a fountain and Varick stumbles back with his hand over his neck. He lets out some gurgling noises and he falls back flat on his back.
All of the bandits looked on in shock as they see their leader had fallen. The life in his eyes was gone. The Knights charged forward and began finishing off the remaining bandits. Koga walks over to Pendergast and he holds his hand out to him. "On your feet Captain," He said with a smile on his face. Pendergast returned the smile and he grasped Koga's hand. Koga pulls him up and Pendergast stumbled a bit. Pendergast laughs "You were phenomenal Koga! You were excellent!"
Koga shakes his head "Nah It was all of us," He turned to look at Bean, Elfo, Luci, and the rest of the knights. "Everyone did a Great Job."
"UMM! A LITTLE HELP!" said The male farmer.
"YEAH! YOU DID COME TO RESCUE US RIGHT?" said The Female farmer.
Once the farmers were united they were placed on the horses and they rode back down the dirt path to Dreamland. The two farmers were riding with one of the knights. Bean, Elfo, and Luci were all chatting and making jokes about the bandit leader whose head was cut off and placed in Pendergast's satchel.
"I must admit, you are one hell of a warrior," said Pendergast as he rode side by side with Koga. "I'm glad my king recruited you. And I'm glad you said yes."
"I'm surprised I said yes myself, to be honest," Koga replied. "I set out on my own to try and grow stronger. But...I can't help but be attached to the people I form bonds with." He turned to Pendergast and smiles "I do hope this turns out well."
"Agreed! And I do hope that the battle we were in impressed you!"
"Well, I was impressed at the fact that no one ran away when the big boy showed up. I guess those guys aren't so bad after all," Koga said as turned his head to look at Turbish and Mertz.
Pendergast nods with a smile "I do believe this will be the start of a great bond of knightly hood! Everyone across Dreamland will tell tales of our adventures! We'll go down in history as the greatest team of knights this land has ever seen!"
Koga just laughed softly. He didn't show it much. But, he too was excited to be side by side with Pendergast and the knights.
They were slowly beginning to remind him of his friends back home.
