-Venus POV-

We are at the crime scene searching for anything important as Booth says, "Holy mother of God! Ugh, geez!?" I chuckle as Temp and Hodgins finally caught up as she says, "Booth, what do we have here?" Hodgins then says, "I bet I know. Thats..." He starts sniffing all the trash saying, "lasagna. Fishy rotten cat food and ... vulcanized rubber." I gave him an applaud as he bows down and Cam says, "Excellent olfactory talents, Hodgins." Temp then asks, "What happened?"

Booth and I go over to her as he says, "Well, it's obvious, isn't it? A guy tried to beat the yellow light, he got T-boned by a tractor trailer." "Well, what was the semi carrying?" "Aquarium sand, but that's not-" "No natural gas or propane? No explosion, no fire?" I then add, "No corrosive chemicals." Temp then asks, "What... do you need me for?" Cam then says, "You might want to prepare yourself. Or not." Booth then starts complaining again, "Oh, man. Okay, how bad does, uh, garbage got to stink to cover the smell of a dead body?"

Cam then adds, "I think the victim was a minor." "Okay. well, then, if you agree then this falls under FBI jurisdiction." I nod as Temp, and I went over to the body. I start it off, "It's a male." Temp then says, "Yes. An adolescent." "Flatworms, necrophagous flies and beetles... Hodgins would love this. HODGINS!" "YES!" "I HAVE A PRESENT FOR YOU!" "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE." "I KNOW, BUT I LOVE TO." Hodgins comes over and looks at it, "Yeah, he's been garbage for about three weeks. I didn't mean that the way it sounded."

I nod and continue, "Fractures to the cranium, sphenoid and occipital regions. Neck's broken, and the femur is shattered." Booth then asks, "From the garbage truck flipping over?" Temp then answers, "No. This damage is more congruent with a fall." "What do you got?" Temp flips his hand as Hodgins says, "It's organic." I nod, "Whatever it is, he brought it with him from the crime scene." Cam then asks, "How much of this are you going to need?" I smile and look at Hodgins, "What do you think Hodgins, "The whole disgusting shebang." Booth then pulls out something while saying, "Ugh! Everything?" I nod, "Everything."

We are back in the lab as I stand next to Zack examining the remains with Cam and Temp on the other side. He then says, "He was wrapped in a shroud?" I nod, "Angie's analyzing the stains on the cloth while Hodgins figures out what they're made of." Cam then says, "No finger pads left for prints. How are we on dental records?" Zack says, "FBI's on it. She nods, "Multiple shards of leaded glass embedded in the remaining tissue. Massive contusions congruent with swan dive onto a hard surface." I then add, "Take a look at the upper spine." Zack looks and says, "Weighted impact against the, uh, scapula and clavicle." The two looked at us as Cam asks, "He was struck?" I nod, "Yes, but not hard enough to kill." Booth then comes up, "Private garbage hauler. They aren't real strict about their routes. Driver says he can't be sure where he picked the victim up."

Can then speaks, "No visible tats or track marks." Temp then looks at her, "You sound surprised." Booth then says, "Well, it's pretty obvious, Bones. He's either a junkie or a hustler." I then ask, "Why make that assumption?" Cam then says, "Not many kids from the suburbs end up rotting in garbage trucks. Fun factoid from the front lines." I was confused but Angie then comes up, "Hey, guys. Want to see something cool?" I look at her and see that she is getting excited, and I knew what she was excited about, "Are you finally gonna use it?!" "Yeah!" "Let's hurry up then, I can't wait to see it being used." We are in the bone room with a cloth on the table and a device connected above it. Angie then starts explaining, "I assume you're all familiar with the Shroud of Turin." Booth then says, "Image of Christ's face on the inside of a burial cloth."

Cam then says, "Right, Booth is a good Catholic boy." Temp then adds, "It was revealed to be a hoax." "Wasn't a hoax." "Okay whatever you want to believe." I shake my head as Angie continues, "This is no hoax. On the fabric covering John Doe's skull, there are tissue stains around the eye sockets, the nose and the mouth. This is essentially a photo negative of his features." Cam looks at her, "Are you saying you have enough to assemble a face?" I then speak, "I call it the Shroud of Montenegro." Angie then does her trick as she says, "I like that. I use computer tomography to create X-Ray slices of the underlying facial architecture. Selective laser centering allowed me to map unimprinted areas. Skin tone and hair color were extrapolated based on Dr. Saroyan's data." We see the boy's face as Temp says, "I'm no expert, but he sure doesn't look like a street kid." I nod.

We then walked to Angie's office as she starts going on the computer as she says, "I'm running our facial reconstruction through the Center for Missing and Exploited Person database." Cam then says, "That's a lot of missing and exploited kids." I add, "These are just locals." Booth then says, "Let's hope we don't have to go national." Cam then says, "Narrow the search to street kids in the foster system." Temp and I look at her as I ask, "Why?" "Because statistically, that's where this boy comes from." Temp adds, "It's far too early to start narrowing our focus." "Runaways, street kids, foster system."

Temp then says, "Dr. Saroyan's the boss." "I've autopsied a lot of dead kids. Car accidents, drug overdoses, drownings. Fine. it's a broad search. Kid in a dumpster, it's a runaway, street kid or foster system." I keep myself calm as Booth says, "Cam's right..." I pinched him a bit as he looks down at me as I stand there with a smile. Angie then got something, "Got it. Dylan Krane, 17." Cam then says, "This is why I was appointed this job, Dr. Brennan, Venus. To streamline the process." Temp looks at me as if saying that I could say something since I am the Boss of her. I just give Temp a look as well saying, it wasn't time yet and I was having a bit of fun with her not knowing still.

Angie then says, "Honor student from a nice neighborhood in Alexandria." I smile as Temp says, "Oops." Angie continues, "He disappeared three weeks ago with his girlfriend Kelly Morris, who is in the foster system." Cam smiles as she says, "Good. There we go. I guess your first move is to find Kelly Morris." I shake my head, "Nope, the first move is to inform the family that we found their son." Booth nods as gather the parents' information and hand it over to Booth.

We are up on the second floor sitting around the conference table with the parents Mr. and Mrs. Krane. Mr. Krane speaks first, "We don't need to identify him? To-to make sure, I mean." Mrs. Krane continues, "I need to see my son. You understand?" Booth then speaks, Mr. and Mrs. Krane, I realize this is very hard, but the reason why we asked you to come to the Jeffersonian-" Temp takes over, "We are forensic anthropologist." Mr. Krane then says, "What? I don't understand the significance of that." "We are called in when a victim is too decomposed... to identify." Mrs. Krane then says, "Oh, God."

I add, "We were able to identify Dylan beyond the shadow of a doubt. We're sorry." "That's Dylan." The father asks, "How did he die?" Temp answers, "He fell from a height of approximately 50 feet." "Suicide?" Booth asks, "Is there any reason to believe your son was despondent?" "Dylan? No. He was a smart, happy kid." "Problems at school? You know, uh... spending too much time on the Internet? Anything like that?" "His whole life centered around this girl that he was seeing." "Was this Kelly Morris?" "Yes. I suppose you read the missing person's report." The father adds, "So, you know Kelly's in a foster situation?"

Temp asks, "Have you seen her since Dylan disappeared?" "No. To be honest, we were hoping they ran away together." Booth asks, "Why would they do that?" The father answered, "We told Dylan to stop seeing her." Temp asks, "Why?" The mother answered, "Dylan meet her at Harper Plaza where the street kids hang out." The father added, "Dylan was getting ready to go to M.I.T. She's already dropped out of high school. The life we provided him- it didn't prepare him for a girl like Kelly." I stayed calm but Temp couldn't take it as she asks, "You mean a foster child?" Booth and I look at her as he says, "Bones." The mother then says, "Whatever happened to my son, it happened because of Kelly." Booth then says, "We're gonna find her and we're gonna talk to her." The father then says, "Dr. Brennan, I can see that you think that we're being hard on Kelly. But my son- my son was a good kid with his whole life ahead of him." I then speak, "Yes we understand that Mr. Krane. But we all get sensitive when it involves with children. It takes a toll on every one of us."

We are in the car as we are all quiet and Temp is looking out of the window and I am looking at my lap. Booth then says, "Kelly Morris' foster mother is gonna meet us in my office." We both nod. "She says Kelly took off a couple weeks ago with, uh, most of her belongings." He looks at us and asks, "You okay, Bones, Blueberry?" Temp begins, "We were foster children." "Yeah, I know." "Do people always assume the worst of us?" "You know, I know that you hate psychology, but those people- they just lost their son. They need to blame someone." I nod and added, "We know... But it still hurts knowing people still think that foster children are no good people..." We all sigh and ride in silence.

We are in Booth's office with the foster parent as she says, "Poor Dylan. He was a good kid. He was a good influence on Kelly- trying to get her back into school. And he was good to Alex, treated him just like a little brother." I nod as Temp asks, "To the best of your knowledge, were Kelly and Dylan sexually active?" "Oh, I know they were. I'm afraid I caught them in Kelly's bedroom, and I had to forbid Kelly to bring Dylan into the house after that." Booth then asks, "Why?" Temp answers, "It's the rules. They're underage, and Kelly's a ward of the state." "Yeah, and I know that it might force Dylan and Kelly to find other places to be together. You know, to feed into their own, uh... Romeo and Juliet fantasy. But Alex lives in the house, too, and he's only 12."

Booth then asks, "Kelly and her brother, they close?" "Very close. Their parents were killed in a hotel fire four years ago. They had no family. They were put into the system. I've had them for a little over a year." I add, "That's a pretty good run for a foster kid, especially a brother and a sister who want to be together." "Yes." Suzanne sighs as booth asked, "What?" "Well, I'm not certain how much longer I can keep the both of them. I have diabetes, and I don't have the energy that I used to, and Kelly is a real handful. I've asked Children's Services to look for alternatives." I ask, "Did Kelly know?" "Yes. I told her."

Alex comes in and asks, "Did they find Kelly or not?" "No, Alex, but they found Dylan." "Is he all right?" We all looked at Booth as he says, "I'm-I'm afraid not." Suzanne then says, "Dylan is dead." She stands up and hugs him. Temp then asks him, "Do you know where Kelly is, Alex?" "No." Booth adds, "Kelly could be in danger." "I don't know where she is. She hasn't called me or anything. Do you think she's dead, too?" Booth then says, "No. Mm-mmm. You know, I'm gonna find your sister, and I'm gonna bring her back here to you." "Really?" "Absolutely. This is the FBI, buddy." Alex smiles and Temp and I just look at Booth.

We are back in the lab walking to Temps office as she asks, "Were you lying to the boy? Do you really think Kelly Morris is still alive?" Booth answers, "I don't know." I then ask, "You don't know if she's alive?" "No, I don't know if I was lying?" You see, I just- I really don't have a read on the sister yet. I mean, was she a bad guy? Was she a victim?" I nod, "Well, do you have a read on Dylan Krane?" "Oh, yeah, he had that whole adolescent savior complex thing going on big time." Temp asks, "Savior Complex?" "Yeah, teenage boys love nothing more than the idea of saving the damsel in distress." "How do you know?"

I chuckle and look at Booth waiting for an explanation. "Well, 'cause I was, you know, I was a teenage boy." Cam then comes in, "Hey. DNA from the tissue under the victim's fingernail? Female, and there's nail polish in the gouges on his arm." Temp then says, "Well, it wasn't necessarily from the murder. They were sexually active. She might have scratched him." "No. Hodgins also found oxidized iron in the scratches." Booth repeats her, "Oxidized iron. What's that?" All three of us say at the same time, "Rust." "Why didn't you just say 'rust'?" "Well, she said it." "The same oxidized iron found on the victim's upper back and shoulder." I nod suggesting, "Probably left behind by the weapon that struck him." Booth then says, "So... he was hit with what, a rusty pipe?"

Cam nods, "That's a reasonable assumption." "Oh, so, Dylan tells the girlfriend they're breaking up..." Cam continues, "She whacks him across the carotid with a pipe..." Booth finishes it, "And pushes him out of the window." "Exactly." "What? What's with the stink eyes? It's just a theory." Temp speaks, "There was cheap nail polish in the box of Kelly's belongings. You should see if there's a match." Cam then says to Booth, "Find some hair. Match the DNA on that, then get started on the, uh, murder weapon." I didn't like what they were saying as I start walking away and Temp follows behind me as Booth says, "Yeah. Where are you both going?" I turned and smiled at them, "I thought before we arrest Kelly Morris for murder based solely on the face that she's a foster kid, we might want to find the place where Dylan Krane actually died. Point of fact- the pipe- if that's even what it was-" Temp finishes, "Was not the murder weapon. The evidence, if anybody cares, shows that Dylam Krane died from a fall." At that we leave them behind.

We are up on the platform with Zack as he starts explaining, "No compression fractures to the ulna or phalanges, so his arms weren't outstretched or across his face." I nod, "Which means he wasn't bracing for impact." "Suggesting he was unconscious before he went out the window. Perhaps from being stuck by the rusty pipe?" I sigh as Temp says, "Oh, don't you start." "Start what?" "We don't know what he was struck with yet." "I analyzed the impact damage, and the weapon was a cylinder approximately two inches in diameter. That plus the oxidation residue suggests, in the vernacular, a rusty pipe." I smile as Temp says, "Good. If you tell me that, I get it. It's empirical, not guesswork."

Hodgins then comes up the platform, "That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Zack then says, "Romeo and Juliet, Act II, Scene II. The quote considered to most aptly describe the central conflict of the play..." I chuckle then add, "Which you do not understand, right?" "Yes." Hodgins then says, "The flower in Dylan's hand was a rosea calyx, a rosebud." I looked at him excitedly as Temp says, "You do not smell like a rose." "I've been sifting through two tons of garbage, which you should ask me about." Temp was confused, "Ask what, exactly?" I cut in, "I got it. I will ask. Hodgins what have you amazingly discovered?" "Thank you. Poultry skin loaded with garlic and chives, red beets, empty imported vodka bottles, and traces of Osetra fish eggs. Put 'em together, and where are we?" I raise my hand as Hodgins looks at us, "Anyone except Venus?" I start raising my hand even higher as Hodgins sighs, "Fine, Venus what is it?" "Yes. Thank you. We need to look for a Russian restaurant." "Yes." "I would high five you Hodgins, but you are covered in garbage." "That's okay, I am going back to my wonderful land to see if I find anything else."

Temp, Booth and I are walking on a street where all of the foster and street kids hang out. Booth then says, "Whoa, okay, horrible area, but you know, on the upside, only one Russian restaurant and no Starbucks." Temp says, "You know, no one we've talked to has recognized either Kelly or Dylan." She then sees a group of kids, "Hey, we could ask them." I look at the kids and back at Temp, "Why?" "Because they share the same unique socio-cultural identifiers as Kelly Morris." "You mean teenagers, sis?" "Yeah, exactly." Booth nods, "Yeah. No, you know what? They will melt away before we get half a sentence out." I nod agreeing as Temp says, "All right, you both just watch." "Okay, nut, hey, you know, what do we know? I've only been working the streets my whole career." I then add, "And I have been on the streets my whole childhood up until 13."

We watch Temp try, "Excuse me? Excuse me. Hello. Hi. I'm an anthropologist. I'm not a cop." The first kid looked at Booth, "That's most definitely a cop." Booth looks at Temp, "Thank you. See, they're very cooperative, aren't they?" Temp shakes her head, "Booth, please. Just-" I add, "There they go." Temp looks and quickly stops him, "Oh, excuse me. Wait, wait, wait. Will you just take a look at these pictures and tell me if you recognize anyone?" The first kid looks at the picture, "Give me five bucks and I'll tell you." Booth then adds, "Five bucks." "Booth, please. here you go. So, who is it?" "It's his sister. but hold it this way, right? 'Cause the only time anyone ever sees his sister is on her back." He starts laughing as the other two kids don't as Temp says, "Yeah, I'm assuming this isn't your sister?" "No, it is." "Okay, I'd like my money back."

They start leaving as Booth says, "Well, there they go. Bye. Mm-hmm. That really worked now, didn't it huh? Great." I looked at Booth, "Don't make fun of her Ranger. She at least tried." Temp then adds, "They took my money for nothing." Booth smiles, "Well, that's because they're exploited, you know, misunderstood." We then see a lady giving a teen something like if it was drugs as he continues saying, "Oh, you got to be kidding me, huh? I mean, jeez, they could at least wait until my back is turned." Temp asks what, as I looked at them a bit more realizing they were giving the kids some protection used when being intimate. Booth takes out his gun quickly before I could say anything about the situation, "FBI. Hands in the air." The teen yells out, "Cop!" and they ran away as a man comes out of the van saying, "There's no problem here! No problem at all! Katie!" I then cough, "Ranger, they are not selling drugs." "Just make sure, I will cover you." I nod and check the bag, "What do you got their Blueberry?" "Ibuprofen. Uh, multivitamin. I think these are sandwiches, and condoms... I told you they weren't selling any drugs." Booth nods and puts his gun down.

We are now talking to the two as Kevin speaks, "Franny and I have been doing this for years." Franny confirms, "Sandwiches, clothing, vitamins, some basic hygiene supplies for homeless kids." I nod and look up at Booth, "You must be really embarrassed Ranger." 'Hey, you know what? It was suspicious behavior, all right? And besides, uh, they're- It's not like they-re- Are you social workers?" "Nope." "They aren't social workers." I chuckle and nod, "You got me there." Temp then adds, "Well, they're Good Samaritans." "Well, I apologized, okay?" I nod, "Yes, and we are very proud for you to do that."  Fran then speaks, "Do you know how long it takes to gain some trust around here? Make a scene like this and these kids won't talk to us for weeks." Booth nods, "Oh, good. Maybe you could do us a favor in return. Show him the picture." Temp gives them a picture, "We're looking for someone. The girl." Fran looks at it, "Dylan and Kelly." I nod as Booth confirms, "Yeah, that's right." "We haven't seen them around here in a couple of weeks." Temp informs them, "Dylan is dead. We found him in a garbage truck that services this area." Kevin then asks, "My God, what happened?" I answered, "Well, that's what we're trying to figure out."

The couple look at each other as they say, "Warehouse." "Yup. Come with us." We followed them to the warehouse as I was up on the balconly type and Temp was on the bottom of the alley as she asks, "What is this place?" Booth looks down at her, "A squat." Fran then says, "Every one of these old factories houses junkies and squatters." Kevin adds, "Yeah, and kids with nowhere else to go." I then ask, "What is this building used to be?" "Plumbing supply, I think." Temp adds, "Pipes." Booth looks down, "Bones. Dylan, right?" "It's obviously a kind of shrine." Fran adds, "It's something the kids do for each other when somebody dies." I nod, "Still could be traces of Dylan's blood on the concrete." Booth nods, "I'll call the crime scene unit." "Tell them to start on the fifth floor." "Why?" "Because the injuries show that's how far he fell." We then hear a door slammed open and a kid running.

Temp starts chasing him and I immediately follow her with Booth chasing behind. I passed Temp and the kid and hoped over the railing and waited for them to come towards me as I could hear Booth say, "That's Dylan's school jacket!" Temp then says, "We're not gonna hurt you!" I was right in front of the kid as Temp grunts and kind of pushed him. He starts falling as he falls on me and takes me down with him. I grunt as I land on my back and the kid falls face first on my chest. I then look up seeing Temp as she says, "I'm sorry Venus. I didn't think he would land on you." I nod as I start turning red as I could feel the kid pressing his face more into my boobs and Booth comes over.  He grabs the kid and gets him off me as he says, "Just because you fell on her doesn't mean you can stay on top of her. You good their Blueberry." "Yeah... I hope we could forget about this part."

We are now inside of the building as the kid is sitting down and says, "You can't ask me nothing without a social worker being present. I know my rights." Booth then says, "I'm not questioning you here. We're just- We're talking, okay? Here. Some gum?" "Yeah, like that's gonna make me trust you." He still takes the gum as Booth continues, "You know, I'm just asking your name." "C." I then asks, "Does that stand for anything?" "Carter. I'm not saying if that's my first or my last name." Booth then asks, "Why'd you run?" Carter then points to Temp, "Because this lady was chasing me." "Because you ran." "Yeah, it's a brain twister. But it wasn't all to bad, I did land on some nice bouncy pillows." I blushed red and covering my chest by crossing my arms as Booth says, "You know, first that was inappropriate and two that sweatshirt you're wearing belongs to a kid by the name of Dylan Krane." "Never heard of him." Temp then asks, "Where'd you get it?" "I'm done with the hoodie. You guys can have it."

Booth looks at Carters arm, "What's with the names on the inside of your forearm there? What does that mean?" "Guys I killed." Temp and I answer at the same time, "It's a list of foster homes." I sighed and said, "Ones that threw him out." Cater looked at us, "Sometimes getting thrown out's the best-" Temp and I finish his sentence, "Is the best thing that can happen." Temp then says, "We know." "You both were in the system?" I nod as Temp says, "Booth, the sunglasses? They're the same ones that Dylan was wearing in the photograph." "These, huh? Top of the line. How can you afford these?" "You don't want to know. Can I go now?" "No. Child Services is on the way." "I tell you something you'll let me go?" "Try me." "You want to know what happened to Dylan and Kelly? Check out the sandwich pervs."

We look at each other as I take out a card and hand it to Carter, "Call if you hear any more information or anything." "Will do, hot shot." Booth points a finger at him, "Watch that mouth and eye's of yours kid." We leave with Booth in walking behind me. Once ear shot away from the boy, Booth then says, "You know he will call you to mess around with you." "I don't think so, he will be calling you instead Ranger." "Me?! Why me?" "Because I gave him your card." "What?" "Yeah, I have a bunch of your cards with me." I show Booth all of his cards as he says, "Why do you have so many?" "Because you told me once if I could print you out some cards for your office. So I did and more for me to keep and every time a random person comes up to me for my number or something, I give them that card." We all stop as Booth looks down at me, "Is that why I get many random calls from people at my office." "... Maybe... Do they sound freaked out when you say 'Agent Booth from FBI." "Yeah..." "Then my whole concept worked. And it's a bit funny thinking that they are expecting to hear me answer instead they hear a scary FBI guy answering."
