Chapter 57 (Napping together)
Grandpa Wei is so delighted that he stands up and gives Boyi a big hug
"Boy, you are such a sensible child, we are blessed to have you," Grandpa Wei told Boyi.
Wei Zhan lowers his head, the boy is so sensible, he has not seen anyone like him, don't want money and yet reason out with his grandfather innocently. Wei Zhan looks at Boyi and felt a movement in his heart,
"Is he blessed to have Boyi?"
Wei Zhan stands aside and observes more of the cute boy.
Grandpa Wei is now holding the cute boy's hand and gently patting it and asks
"I heard you are now staying with Zhan Zhan, did he ever bully you?" Grandpa Wei winks at Wei Zhan and asks, of course, the young heir frowns.
Boyi smiles and shakes his head
"No, Zhan-ge treats me very well"
"He is my guardian, swimming coach, tutor, and mentor, four-in-one," Boyi told Grandpa Wei.
Grandpa Wei listens with interest and nods his head
"Good, Good" Grandpa Wei speaks but suddenly he stops
"Wait!"
"Something is missing," Grandpa Wei told Boyi
Boyi stunned and looks at Grandpa Wei
"Why no fiancé ne?" Is he your fiancé huh" Grandpa Wei asks with a frown
Boyi is a little shy but he knew that Wei Zhan should not answer this question as Grandpa Wei wanted Boyi to answer as he direct the question to him.
"Oh, the fiancé is part of who we are, Zhan-ge is more than just fiancé" Boyi cleverly answers Grandpa, even he himself is pleased with the answer and he didn't dare to look at Wei Zhan because he feels a little shy.
Honestly, Wei Zhan is truly honestly grateful, there is no better answer than what Boyi had provided. Boyi had even answered the question in such a way that he feels protected by Boyi. Wei Zhan had a moment of thought, in his life of nearly twenty-six he never needed anyone to protect him but this cute boy just did it out of his innocence and purity.
Grandpa Wei is definitely satisfied with Boyi's reply but he also knows his grandson's character, Wei Zhan is a responsible man and he doesn't bully anyone but he has an indifferent personality since his parent passed away and it can be seen as intimidating as hell.
Grandpa Wei wanted to put Boyi at ease and so he continue to pat that little hand like it was a precious jade and then told Boyi
"Boyi, if you have any request, just tell me, if this old man can help, then I will be very please," Grandpa Wei told Boyi
"Huh?" Boyi tilts his little head and thinks.
"Mmmm, don't need any help. I am very good now" Boyi smiles and he feels warm with grandpa Wei patting his little white hand.
"Really, don't need my help, mmmm....now I feel really useless when a person is old" Grandpa Wei pretended to sigh loud like a really old and helpless old man. Wei Zhan had never seen his grandfather like this, pretending to be helpless, this man is a national treasure, even the military commanders/leaders now are still valuing his thoughts and ideas, why he is like this towards a nineteen years old boy.
Wei Zhan couldn't stand it and he rolls his eyes which he hasn't done for years as this is considered childish but his grandfather is really making him shocked to his spine.
Boyi puts his other hand onto his forehead and thinks and then he smiles
"Grandpa can do something for me" Boyi widens his eyes and told Grandpa
Grandpa Wei straightens himself like he is ready to do anything for the cute boy.
"Boyi missed my grandparents very much and I actually cannot remember them at all, so when you are free, you tell me all about them" Boyi's face is a little sad thinking of his grandparents that passed away when he was a young age.
Grandpa Wei also missed his good comrade and he pats the boy's hand harder and nods
"Sure I will" Grandpa Wei promised Boyi
Boyi then turns and he smiles
"Now, I just hug hug you like I am hugging my grandparents"
"I will be very happy"
Boyi then turns and hugs grandpa Wei and he tightens his hug
Grandpa Wei is so happy that Boyi is so cute and also full of innocent, he is facing Wei Zhan and he winks at his grandson and he mouthed to him "He is so cute" followed by a wide smile
The moments of connection makes everyone very touched and feel closely like a family until there was a gentle knock on the door of the old master bedroom.
Butler Han came in and he saw a warm atmosphere and was truly delighted. He had worked nearly his whole life here and he could see how happy the old commander is with this little boy.
"Old Master, Young Master, and Little Master, lunch is ready" Butler Han greets them respectfully as he was trained as the best Butler.
The three of them turn toward Butler Han with a smile, Butler Han is not like any other servants as to the old and young masters, he is like another family member and so they nod at him kindly.
"Let's go for lunch," Grandpa Wei told them
Butler Han leads the way and he even introduces the lunch explicitly to them
"As there will be a heavy dinner tonight, so I will make the lunch light and non-greasy, mainly with soup to line the stomach," Butler Han told them.
Boyi is young and he is expressive and he looks at Wei Zhan and then at Butler Han and he softly told Wei Zhan
"Wow, so thoughtful" the cute boy couldn't help but told Wei Zhan
Of course, he was heard and a great smile on the Butler's face.
When they reached the dining table, there were only three of them as the rest of the family members were out.
The dining table is luxurious as well as largely made of hundred years old wood with a glass tabletop and every skillfully curved design on the table could be seen through it.
Boyi saw that there were indeed around twenty dishes of small side dishes such as vegetables and steam fishes and other stuff, they were indeed light and also there is a porcelain pot with steaming soup and the servants served them promptly and neatly and were all very respectful to Boyi as it seems like they were well trained and well instructed.
Boyi lift up the soup and wanted to drink the soup but Wei Zhan touches his hand and told him softly
"It is a bit hot" the mighty young heir was gentle and sweet to Boyi
Grandpa Wei pretended that he didn't see or hear but he was internally happy like shit, his grandson is so careful with the boy and he knew what it mean, maybe even Wei Zhan doesn't know.
Grandpa piles up the side plates for Boyi and when Boyi saw it, he quickly shares half with Wei Zhan and he even gives excuses for Grandpa
"It is easier for me to serve you than grandpa," Boyi told Wei Zhan.
Of course, Wei Zhan knew what the boy is doing, it is customary in Wei's family to serve anyone that is dear and new to the family. Grandpa doesn't do it to Wei Zhan because he is already considered a family member but Boyi didn't know that he worried about Wei Zhan's feelings. In fact, Wei Zhan placed dishes onto grandpa's plate every now and then, he wanted to do so for Boyi but seeing that his grandfather is enjoying himself serving Boyi, he left the old man to do it.
So, the lunch was very enjoyable, as they serve each other and also the food is of top-rated, done by the excellent chef of Wei's family world-renowned chef.
After lunch, grandpa usually takes a nap, he yawns a little and he looks at Wei Zhan
"Take Boyi to your room and rest for a bit, the night event can be tiring," Grandpa told Wei Zhan and he stands up, pat the boy's head, seems like he likes to do it and then he took the lift to the top floor master bedroom.
Wei Zhan brought Boyi to his room, it is also on the top floor and it opposite grandpa but it was further in, they have to pass by the reading room and then several other rooms with the name tag on it, such as the library, study room, restroom, gym, etc..., Boyi also a little lost at the numbers of rooms as they walk towards Wei Zhan's room.
Boyi walks behind Wei Zhan and his curious eyes scan the place
"Zhan-ge, only grandpa and you on this floor?" Boyi asks as there are many other rooms on the third floor but they seem to be for many other purposes
"Yes, the second floor is occupied by my uncle's family and guests' room," Wei Zhan told Boyi.
Wei Zhan then continue to tell the boy
"I prefer privacy," Wei Zhan told Boyi
Boyi nods with a response "Oh..."
This also means that Wei Zhan is the patriarch and thus he has every say in the mansion, he doesn't want anyone on the third floor other than his grandfather who is the original patriarch of the family. Thus, the third floor is out-of-bound for anyone else to stay other than grandpa and Wei Zhan.
Boyi follows Wei Zhan like he is his tail, he looks at every room but he did not make any comments until they come to a door that is double opened door, with a curved arch. Wei Zhan pressed his finger on the door and the door is opened.
Boyi frowns, the mansion is old but everything seems very new and not only that, it is recognized by finger, and this is so modern.
Wei Zhan then took out his phone and call Lam.
"I am scanning Boyi's fingerprint to my room's door now, can you organize it with the house security team" Wei Zhan told Lam
Lam is now at the mansion security area where all the bodyguards and security rest, it is separate accommodation for them. It is not a servant quarters, as the accommodation is of good quality. Wei Zhan treats people that work under him really well. The team is also on duty tonight for the Lantern Festival.
"Yes, boss, scan now," Lam told Wei Zhan
Wei Zhan turns around and took the fair and small finger of Boyi and placed it on the scanner and a green light seems to scan Boyi's finger.
Lam's voice is on the phone
"Sir, it is done," Lam told Wei Zhan
Wei Zhan then cut off his phone and told Boyi
"Scan your fingerprint here and see if you can open the door," Wei Zhan told Boyi.
Boyi nods his head
"Mmm...okay" Boyi puts his finger on the scan and a "tug" sounds and the door can be opened when Wei Zhan pulls down the handle.
Boyi is happy and he smiles and told Wei Zhan
"Thank you"
The door is open now, the room is very modern and large, the entrance foyer leads to a lounge, with a full set of sofa, it is open plan. After entering and passing by the lounge, Wei Zhan turns toward the left, which leads Boyi towards the bedroom, and on the right is another private study area, where there is a large study table with computers and books, there are also a lot of photographs on the shelves. Boyi runs towards it like a kid and he saw lots of Wei Zhan's photos when he was younger, like pre-teens to teenagers. The young heir didn't change much, just that when he was younger, he is a bit chubbier than now. Wei Zhan is still very handsome and dashing even when he was young. At the end of the rolls of photos, there is a couple with a young boy, each holding the young boy's hand and Boyi knew it was his parents and he quickly runs back to the bedroom where Wei Zhan is standing and leaning at the door frame waiting for the cute boy.
"Ahhhh...just taking a look," Boyi told Wei Zhan and he is a bit shy because his curiosity took the better side of him and he is a little rude looking at Wei Zhan private photos
Wei Zhan smiles and told him
"You are free to roam about," Wei Zhan told him.
"Come", the bedroom door is now open, inside the huge room, there is another bedroom, it looks more like a mini-apartment to Boyi.
There is a super large King bed in the middle of it, it is covered with dark blue silk covering, there is another door and Boyi knew that it should lead to Wei Zhan's dressing room.
True enough, when Wei Zhan push opens the door of that dressing room, it is lined with suits and clothes, like a clothing shop, all are neatly hung.
Wei Zhan pick up a simple T-shirt and track pants for Boyi
"Go take a light shower and you can rest," Wei Zhan told Boyi.
Boyi nods, as he also wanted a quick bath and all the anxiety has also made him a little tired, so taking a nap is what he desires now.
The boy runs into the room and he took out his clothes neatly and slowly and took a quick shower without wetting his head and change into Wei Zhan's clothes.
However, the young heir is taller and broader than him, so his smallest clothes are still loose on Boyi, it made Boyi looks like a child trying to wear adult clothes, his sleeves are rolled up and his long track pant is folded up.
Boyi came out and look at Wei Zhan who had already taken off his suit jacket and waiting to shower. Boyi looks at Wei Zhan while still trying to roll up the sleeves and mumbles
"What did you eat or do that makes you so tall huh?" Boyi asks Wei Zhan, a little admiration as well as frustration.
Wei Zhan is amused with the boy and he walks towards him and pats his shoulder
"Instead of questioning me on my growth, why don't you focus on your own growth" Wei Zhan teases the boy.
Boyi was a little embarrassed and when he saw Wei Zhan walking towards the bathroom, he sticks out his tongue at Wei Zhan.
However, the young heir seems to have eyes at the back of his head and he turns around and catch the scene of Boyi and he laughs......
Boyi was a little shocked, he heard that Wei Zhan doesn't usually laugh, and now he is laughing.
The young heir then went into the bathroom and only with the slam of the bathroom door that Boyi awakens from the shock.
Boyi feels a little sleepy as after the warm bath, the bed looks so inviting and he climbs into the bed and drops himself inside the quilt and thinking that he will just take a 5 minutes rest and waits for Wei Zhan to see where he should sleep, but unfortunately, the boy fell asleep.
When Wei Zhan comes out of the bathroom, he saw the boy sitting up on the bed but his eyes are closed and he looks like he fell asleep.
Wei Zhan stares at the cute boy, looking totally adorable and innocent, Wei Zhan gently slides Boyi down so that he could have better sleep, then cover him with the quilt.
Wei Zhan is also very tired, he has been working hard and so he slip himself into the quilt and fell asleep in seconds.
The room has two very tired persons sleeping soundly and sweetly, there was soft snoring but it is hard to differentiate which person is emitting that soft snore.
However, the two persons that were originally sleeping apart somehow seem to inch closer to each other unconsciously, it could be due to the warmth and also the attraction of each other's snoring sound that makes a perfect lullaby for sleep.
Boyi is the first one to stir in his sleep, his state of mind is in a blur and he did not open his eyes but he felt that his body has been refreshed from the sleep, it took him a few minutes to awaken his sleepy mind to try to open his eyes.
When he opens his eyes, he saw the beautifully designed ceiling which looks strange to him, his alert system in his body made him a little shocked and when he turns his face, he saw another handsome face, half facing him but still emitting a soft snore.
Boyi shudders but he tried to calm himself down when he saw the sleeping Wei Zhan sleeping so soundly like a baby, it gives a different temperament that Boyi had never seen before and so he remain still as he did not want to disturb Wei Zhan who is so tired and definitely deserved a good sleep.
The poor boy however needs to visit the bathroom for his toilet stop. He tried to hold but he felt like he might burst. So, he slowly moves away from Wei Zhan as they are sleeping side by side and sharing the very close air space, the bed is very soft and so it is easy to wake the young heir.
So, the boy makes his move as gentle as a mouse and as slow as a snail, and finally, he reaches his side of the bed and he climbs down slowly. He puts his foot on the floor and sighs a soft relief until....
"Are you alright?" a hoarse voice from a person that he had awakened.
Boyi wanted to curse himself
"Mmmm.....sorry, I awaken you, I want to use the bathroom" Boyi explains very seriously
The young heir yawns a little and he looks at Boyi sympathetically
"Hey, if you need to go, you need to go, don't apologize," Wei Zhan told Boyi.
Boyi nods his head and Boyi starts to paddle with his rather small feet into the bathroom, looking at his small and tall back Wei Zhan laughs softly
After the door has been slammed, the young heir actually chuckles and shakes his head
"Why is this boy so cute?"
The young heir himself had a good sleep and he feels really refreshed now when he looks at the clock, he was a bit shocked after lunch, they slept at about 2 pm and now it is nearly 4.30 pm meaning they have two and half solid sleep. All the tiredness and stress from work seem to have eased off from the sleep, although Wei Zhan had never slept with anyone since he was eight. He thought he would feel awkward and not able to sleep but to his surprise, he had a very deep sleep and he feels comfortable with Boyi beside him.
Boyi then jumps out of the bathroom and looks at Wei Zhan still sitting on the bed
"Zhan-ge, are you still very tire?" Boyi asks with gentleness
Wei Zhan shakes his head and told Boyi
"No, I feel very good after the sleep, but we need to change now, as people will start coming in at 5 pm" Wei Zhan told Boyi.
Boyi runs to take the two suits hanging in the big closet, he hands one to Wei Zhan. Wei Zhan then told Boyi
"Ahhh....I will change in the bathroom, you can change here" Wei Zhan told Boyi and this is the first time the young heir changed in the bathroom as he often change in his room.
"Okay...." Boyi looks at Wei Zhan who is now walking into the bathroom.
Boyi turns around and starts to take out his T-shirt and puts on his white shirt and then he slides his pant off with his butt facing the bathroom after that, he bends down to put on his pant but he heard someone opens the bathroom door and he panic and fells on his butt with no pant and all his long slim white flawless legs were exposed.
Wei Zhan opens the door and he saw the scene of Boyi with his legs in the air, exposing the slim perfect white legs and falling on his butt.
"What happens?" Wei Zhan asks
Boyi quickly crawls with his butt facing up with only his underwear on and hide behind the bed with his head pop up
"Nothing" Boyi told Wei Zhan but because he is so fair and so his pink face and red ears are so visible that the boy is truly shameful from the fall.
However, the scene sent shockwaves into the young heir's eyes and vibrates his soul that he quickly close the bathroom door even forgets why he opens the door.
First time in Wei Zhan's life that he needs to take a deep breath to stabilize himself. The sight that he saw was like a needle pricking into his heart, making it slightly stingy but still cannot resolve those itching and random heartbeats.
Wei Zhan pours cold water onto his face and calms those racing spirit and then he changes into his suit and comes out.
He saw Boyi all change and looking at the full-length mirror in his closet and when he saw Wei Zhan, he blushes and told him
"So silly, I fell down like a silly child," Boyi told Wei Zhan with his head hanging down.
Wei Zhan sighs a loud breath, the boy doesn't know how attractive he is, the scene is now being replayed like a recorder in Wei Zhan's mind, he had to switch it off instantly in order not to get a heated body. He looks at the cute boy who is damn innocent and adorable, gently told him
"Nothing to be ashamed of, alright"
"I am not laughing at you"
"Everyone falls on their bottom, part of growing up," Wei Zhan told him and tried to smooth the boy.
Boyi nods and he is quite pleased that Wei Zhan is not feeling ashamed of him.
Wei Zhan walks towards him, helped Boyi to straighten his collar, and pulled his suit properly and in his mind, he is thinking
"You are not only cute but adorable, how can I ever be ashamed of you!"
