A few days later, Y/n, Eren, Mikasa and Armin were sitting by the riverbank, looking at the view ahead. Armin was ganged upon from a bunch of kids, so the three of them came to the rescue, so now here they are all sitting together.
''So when I said the human race....should eventually go to the outside world....he punched me.....and called me a ''heretic''
''Damn it, why do people frown on even the slightest mention of wanting to go ''outside''?'' Eren frowned,
''They're stupid that's why...'' Y/n scoffed as she started picking the grass
''It's because we've lived here peacefully inside the wall for 100 years now. People are afraid that is we go outside, they could get in.'' Armin stated
''Royal Government Policy says that even having an interest to the outside world is a taboo..'' Armin added as he explained further
''In other words, the king is a coward!!'' Y/n and Eren both scoffed in unison, causing them to look at each other
''...You're right about that. But I wonder if that's the only reason...'' Armin added as he wondered
''They're our lives! We can do what what want with them, right?'' Eren asked as he was stared ahead gritting his teeth
''Eren is right....it's our lives....people can't control us....'' Y/n added as she looked up from the grass and at the water, as a frown made its way onto her face
''Those that think they can live in these walls forever are stupid....not even having the slightest of interest'' Y/n added, causing Eren to look over at her
''Is everything okay Y/n?'' Armin asked worriedly as he noticed the frown on her face
''Yeah, everything is fine....I just feel suffocated here....'' Y/n answered,
''You two absolutely cannot go outside....why don't you understand'' Mikasa spoke up, but Y/n and Eren stayed silent.
''How did your parents take it?'' Armin asked Eren
''They weren't pleased.'' Eren answered
''Of course....naturally'' Mikasa added
''Look, I know how you and Y/n feel...but come one guys, it's dangerous'' Armin added
''W-what the hell?! Are you telling me to give up on it too?! Do you even know what Y/n-!!'' Eren was cut off as he glanced over and Y/n and saw her shaking her head with a frown
*sigh*
''I mean, for sure, I think people who believe we'll be safe inside these walls forever have a screw loose. Just because the wall hasn't been breached in 100 years.....there's no guarantee they won't break through it today, for example.'' Armin added
Just as Armin said, Y/n felt a sudden tightness in her chest, she gritted her chest as she held onto it, closing her eyes, the others noticed this and their eyes widened. Eren got up and went over to Y/n and rubbed her back gently
''Is everything okay Y/n?'' Eren asked worriedly
''I don't know...but I just felt this sudden tightness in my chest....It's like a very unsettling feeling building up inside me'' Y/n explained as she opened her eyes, gritting her teeth
''Shall we go home?'' Eren asked
''Yes please....I don't feel well'' Y/n nodded as the feeling was getting stronger, Eren helped her up
''We'll come too'' Mikasa spoke up as she got up, to which they nodded
However they all noticed something, Y/n's face had gotten pale, and this alarmed them. Eren immediately checked her forehead and noticed how hot it was.
''You have a fever!'' Eren spoke up with wide eyes,
''We have to go back home now!'' Eren grabbed Y/n's hand and was about to leave
*BOOOM*
A sudden loud bang caused them all to lose balance and fall to the ground, everyone's eyes consequently widening.
''W-what was that?'' Y/n asked as she held her head
''An earthquake?!''
The four of them noticed people pointing at something, they all looked at each other wondering what was going on. They immediately ran through the streets, Y/n and Eren stopped when they saw a door sign blowing with the wind, Armin and Mikasa had ran further but they stopped when they saw what happened, their eyes consequently widening in horror at the sight infront of them. Y/n and Eren noticed their expressions and this worried them big time.
''Armin...Mikasa, what is it...?!'' Y/n yelled as they ran over

That was when they saw it. Eren's and Y/n's heart dropped at the sight of a titan head over the wall. Y/n's chest was getting more tight as she stared at the sight in front of her, frozen and in shock.
''It can't be...!!'' Armin spoke up in shock
''Th-that wall's 50 meters high...''
''It's them......it's them.....it's them.....a titan!'' Y/n kept repeating as she stared in horror at the thing infront of them
Then all of a sudden, the giant titan smashed its foot into the wall, causing panic levels to rise among the crowd. Y/n covered her mouth as she stared ahead. The terror of being dominated by them....and the shame....of being held captive in a bird cage.
''Eren.....we need to get back home....please...'' Y/n shakily spoke as she felt her body shaking in fear at the sight in front, snapping Eren out of his daze.
''Home....home..!! Come on Y/n...!!'' Eren yelled at the realization of his mum, instantly grabbing Y/n's hand
The crowd screamed in horror as they all began running away from. Mikasa and Armin's eyes widened as they realised that Y/n and Eren were not by their sides.
''EREN? Y/N?!'' Armin yelled in shock as he looked at the two who ran the opposite direction.
''MUM'S AT HOME!!'' Eren spoke as the worst of thoughts ran through his mind
''Please be okay.....please be okay.....'' Y/n kept repeating as she stared ahead
''Our home is going to be there right Eren....?!'' Y/n's voice shaked as a tear escaped her eyes
''Yeah...there's no way our home was it! I'm sure she has already escaped....when we turn around that corner...our house will be there...just like always.....just like always!!'' Eren reassured Y/n
When Y/n and Eren turned the corner, they saw a boulder on top of their house, their hearts dropped at the sight. Y/n and Eren sped up as their chests were hurting at the broken house in front of them. Eren and Y/n both both picked up the broken pieces of wood, as they removed the debris, they saw Eren's mum trapped under the debris.
''Eren...Y/n...is that you?'' Asked Carla
''Y/n, help me remove the pillar!!'' Eren yelled, to which Y/n nodded
As they struggling to lift the pillar, Y/n glanced over and saw titan's walking in the streets. Her eyes widening in response. Eren noticed this too.
''Hurry Y/n!!...'' Eren yelled as he struggled to pick the pillar up
''Eren....they got inside.....they got inside....'' Y/n's voice shaked as tears rolled down her face, causing Eren to widen his eyes
''EREN!! TAKE Y/N AND GET OUT OF HERE!!'' Yelled Carla
''NOW!!
''NO!! WE ARE GETTING OUT TOGETHER!!'' Y/n shook her head as she tried to lift the pillar to no avail.
''MUM Y/N IS RIGHT...LET'S GET OUT TOGETHER! COME ON!!'' Eren yelled
''My legs got crushed by the rubble..even if you get me out, I can't run...you understand don't you?'' Carla explained
''They we'll carry you!!'' Both Y/n and Eren yelled in unison as both had tears streaming down their face.
''WHY DON'T YOU EVER LISTEN TO ME?!! AS LEAST OBEY ME THIS LAST TIME!!'' Carla yelled as tears flowed down her face
As they struggled, Carla noticed a titan heading their way, her eyes widening, the worst of thoughts crossed her mind as she thought that the three of them will end up dying at this rate. It was until she saw Hannes fly by, making his way over.
''Hannes -San!!! Wait!! you mustn't fight it!!'' Carla yelled as she held her hand out
As Hannes stood infront of the titan, he wondered what he should do. But it was at that moment he knew, his hand was shaking as he looked at it with horror. He immediately ran back, picking Y/n and Eren up, taking them both by surprise.
''Hannes-San!! what are you doing?!!'' Both Eren and Y/n yelled in shock
''My mum is still...'' Eren yelled further
''EREN!! TAKE CARE OF Y/N FOR ME! YOU BOTH MUST SURVIVE YOU HEAR ME!!'' Carla yelled as memories flashed by, she covered her face as tears streamed down her face.
''Don't go....you both are so precious to me...'' Her voice quietened as her face was flooded with tears,
Her eyes widened when she felt debri being lifted, she knew what was going to happen next, Eren and Y/n watched in horror as the saw the titan dig through the rubble. The titan lifted Carla up and with that, the titan took a bite of her. Y/n's and Eren's face turned pale as they saw blood splatter through the air and on the floor.
''STOP IT!!!!'' Y/n screamed as she hit her elbow into Hannes's neck, causing him to let of them and crash and on the floor
''Y/N what are you doing?!!'' Hannes yelled
''We could've saved mum!!'' Eren yelled back
''You both couldn't save her because you weren't strong enough...'' Hannes claimed
''I...didn't face the titan....because I wasn't brave enough.'' Hannes cried as tears flowed down his face, causing Y/n and Eren to listen in horror.
''That thing.....bit her like it was nothing....she was right infront of us....'' Y/n's voice quietened as she stared at the floor, letting the tears fall
''She was right infront of us.....she was right infront of us....'' Y/n kept repeating causing Eren and Hannes to look at her with blurry eyes
Y/n felt her eyes getting blurry, she stumbled as she was loosing balance, within seconds, Y/n passed out onto the cold ground, taking Eren and Hannes by shock.
