From that day Y/n was taken in by the Yeager Household, her new family. And Eren had promised to take care of Y/n ever since that day. Y/n fitted in perfectly well with everyone, she started smiling a lot more, gradually, the pain she went through was overwritten by the warmth from everyone, and now Y/n wanted to do everything she could to stay with Eren and his family. 3 years whizzed by and both Eren and Y/n are now both 10 years old.
Y/n and Eren would always go outside to play, Y/n was all perfectly healthy now, the nutrition her body needed was of course given by Eren's mum with her wonderful cooking. Grisha also made regular checks on her condition and was very pleased with how Y/n had been coping with everything, although the wounds took some time to heal, they eventually did, however leaving scars behind that would hurt from time to time, but other than that, Y/n was doing well. But the problem was that Y/n's body could not tolerate the cold, she would get ill very quickly so her body needed to be kept warm.

Y/n and Eren were currently sitting on the sofa, whilst Grisha checked Y/n's vitals and gave her the green light to go and play outside. Grisha had just checked her blood pressure, he smiled when he saw it was normal.
''Alright Y/n, you're all set...now you two kiddos can go and play outside'' Grisha smiled as he gently patted Y/n's and Eren's heads
''Arigato!!'' Y/n smiled widely as she got up and grabbed Eren's hands and ran off
''BYE BYE!!'' Both Eren and Y/n yelled as they waved their hands
''Be careful! Eren make sure you take care of Y/n okay!'' Eren's mum yelled back
''HAI!!'' Eren yelled back as he smiled and waved at his parents.
Both Eren's parents were watching the two silly goofballs run off like it was no tomorrow. Both had warm smiles plastered on their faces.
''I think Eren will be taking care of our little Y/n for a long time....a very long time...'' Grisha smiled as he looked at his wife
''If you know what I mean'' Grisha added as he giggled, causing Eren's mum to stare at him
''Shush! They're still kids!'' Eren's mum smacked Grisha's arm
''It's Eren's and Y/n's choice when it comes to choosing their life partners Honey....'' Eren's mum shook her head
''Wanna bet.....I think those two will end up together..'' Grisha claimed as he stood there proudly with his arms over his chest
''Oh yeah....but I think Eren and Y/n are just best friends....it's still up to them who they want to choose'' Eren's mum stood their with her arms folded over her chest

''Uhm....is everything okay Mum, Dad?'' Eren spoke up out of nowhere as he stood there staring at them, snapping them out of their little bet that going on
''W-what...how long have you been there Eren?'' Eren's mum stuttered as she looked at Eren
''Uhm...I just came back to get Y/n's cardigan'' Eren spoke up as he walked over to the sofa and grabbed the cardigan
''Oh I see...well I'll be off to work then....I'll see you three in the evening'' Grisha stated as he grabbed his bag and waved at them, causing the two to stare at him
''Oh okay....I'll see you later then Dad'' Eren smiled as he waved and ran off
''I STILL THINK THEY'RE GOING TO END UP TOGETHER CARLA!!'' Grisha yelled proudly as he walked over to the door, causing Carla to roll her eyes
Eren ran outside and saw Y/n sitting on the doorstep waiting, he ran over to her and put her cardigan on her. Y/n smiled as she got and then the two were off to play in the neighbourhood. All the elders in the village knew Y/n and Eren and would always greet them. Y/n would always offer a helping hand whenever she could, Eren always pitched in with Y/n. Currently, Eren was walking though the town, whilst holding Y/n's hand as they looked around.
''Eren...you know....you don't have to keep holding my hand'' Y/n giggled causing Eren to look back and down at their intertwined hands
''Well I have to take care of you don't I....I don't want to lose you Y/n'' Eren stopped as he looked back and patted Y/n's head, causing her to smile at him
''I ain't going anywhere though....I will always be with Eren'' Y/n smiled as she patted Eren's head, this time causing Eren to smile now
Eren and Y/n were now in a meadow sitting on the grass, flowers gently blowing in the wind. Eren and Y/n were leaning against the tree as they looked at the wall surrounding them.
''I wonder what the other side looks like....'' Y/n spoke up as she frowned at the sight of the giant wall
''Shall we go and find out then...I wanna know too'' Eren smiled widely, causing Y/n to look at him
''Baka~ How can we climb that massive wall? We'll need like a super ladder'' Y/n blurted out
''A super ladder?'' Eren laughed as he looked at Y/n, causing her to look at him
''Yeah....that or using magic powers to fly over!'' Y/n smiled widely as she got up, causing Eren to smile at her

''You see that ladder of there....let me go and get it'' Y/n pretended to get the ladder and bring it over
''Laddero, extendo!'' Y/n casted a pretend spell, causing the pretend ladder to extend and Eren to giggle at her cuteness
''Now we have to get this ladder over to that wall'' Eren spoke up as looked at the pretend ladder that had extended to massive lengths
''Laddero, lifto'' Eren's turn to cast a pretend spell, causing to the pretend ladder to float in the air and Y/n to smile
''Now let's take it over to the wall'' Y/n smiled widely as she joined in and both Eren and Y/n casted a pretend spell
''Laddero, over thero'' Y/n and Eren casted the spell togther
The pretend ladder was now leaned over against the massive wall, Y/n and Eren high fived ech other and smiled widely.
''Now we climb, come on'' Y/n smiled as she pretended to climb

Now Y/n and Eren were laying on the grass looking at the sky, after all that playing and messing about, the two kids were tired so here they were laying down. Eren had a small frown on his face he stared at the sky.
''Why are we so desperate to go out Y/n....? We literally spent the day pretending to climb that stupid wall'' Eren spoke as a sad expression made it's way onto his face, causing Y/n to turn her head and look at him
''I don't know....that's what kids do...we just pretend because our dreams seem too far fetched'' Y/n spoke up as she looked back at the sky
''There is nothing else we kids can do....all the kids around here don't bother with the outside world....they behave like kids....but we are behaving like adults and wanting to go outside....'' Y/n added
''But that is also a good thing...because I don't want to be clueless like everyone....even if it's once....I want to see what's on the other side'' Y/n added as she closed her eyes, with Eren listening carefully
''I'm glad you share the same dream as me Y/n....I don't feel left out'' Eren chuckled as he looked over at Y/n had opened her eyes and smiled
''Yeah'' Y/n smiled....but that soon turned into a frown once again
''But what if our dream just ends up remaining a dream?''
