Chapter 33 (Boyi and Zhan are motivators)
The room was silent and no one raised their hands and thus Boyi is so happy that he looks at Wei Zhan with his warm eyes, and he hoped that L&M will prosper to its' glorious days under his grandparent's management or even his own mother's management.
Boyi is someone that doesn't really like silence, as silence means loneliness and isolation, for a boy that had lost his parents since young and lived in an environment that did not give him love at all, Boyi entertained himself with music and drinking in his past life, however, today the total silence in the board meeting gives Boyi a different feeling, it gives him a feeling of victory or NOT, this is a complete victory as silence means no one object to him being the chairman and also to allow Wei Zhan's management company to manage L&M. To Boyi, it means the L&M will not collapse and have a chance to come back to life, to profitability.
When Boyi scans his eyes on everyone, there seems to be satisfaction and approval from everyone. Boyi never thought or understood the benefit of silence till today, where silence means victory to Boyi.
Standing there for a while with a happy face, Boyi looks at everyone and suddenly he did not know how to proceed, and thus once again, he looks at Wei Zhan for guardianship.
Wei Zhan wrote something on his paper and shift the paper to Boyi's front and Boyi pick it up and he took a deep breath and he read it
"Next, we will visit the whole building of L&M and get familiarized with the operation," Boyi told everyone.
After that, everyone starts to move from their seats, as Boyi is already standing, he did not want to move but waits for Wei Zhan while everyone is waiting for him to move first because he is the chairman of the company now. Boyi did not know that and so there is a stalemate where everyone is standing and no one is moving.
Wei Zhan smiles and whispers to Boyi
"Get the old staff to walk ahead of us," Wei Zhan told Boyi
Boyi instantly nods with agreement
Then Wei Zhan whisper again and only between the two of them and Boyi gives his speech again in a simply manner
"Ahhh, for those old staff that has been following my grandparents and helped to build this company, can you please lead us to tour around the building of L&M, as you all know the operations best," Boyi told them full of respect and appreciation.
These old staffs are so happy, they have been suppressed and oppressed by Ho and his cronies for a long time since Boyi's mother passed away and so this is such an opposite treatment they are experiencing now, they all turns to eye each other and smiles and nod their head
"We are most glad to do that" one of the older staff happily told Boyi and his new team.
The older staff lead but still very respectful, they open the door to step out but continue to hold the door for Boyi and Wei Zhan.
The L&M building consists of 5 levels, it is a medium-sized building centered in the center of the business district.
As the staff leads, the lift went downstairs where the receptions area are
The reception is neat and tidy but it needs some renovation as some of the furniture is old as Ho Peng couldn't care much about it.
Wei Zhan eyed Li Ning who immediately take out his iPad to record whatever Wei Zhan told Boyi
"Boyi, what do you think?" Wei Zhan asks the nineteen years old
Boyi looks at Wei Zhan with his big doll eyes
"Huh! What am I supposed to think?" Boyi asks with a sense of lost
Wei Zhan looks at the boy but he understood
"Think about the reception area?" Wei Zhan told Boyi
"The first impression of anyone walking in" Wei Zhan hinted to Boyi
Boyi looks around and found the furniture a bit old and also the reception area has not had much seating place and all in all, the wood panel and the wallpapers look dull and Boyi is someone that doesn't like darkness and so he told Wei Zhan
"The reception area is a bit dark and gloomy" that is Boyi's opinion, Boyi told Wei Zhan what is in his mind.
Wei Zhan nods his head
"Mmm.....need renovation," Wei Zhan told Li Ning who immediately type into the tablet.
Next, they went into the factory floor which contains two floors and the works are now molding the rings and bracelets and chains, some even match it with pearl, precious s stones and diamonds etc...
The staff were all a bit elderly and are very hardworking and totally immersed in their work, as these are very delicate work, so are all very skilled indeed.
However, Lam who is a security man in the bones looks around and told Wei Zhan
"There is only 1 security staff checking on staff in and out, maybe good to have a scanner for fast checking" Lam whisper to Wei Zhan about the lacking of a good security system where staff is working with expensive, precious stones.
Wei Zhan eyed Li Ning who immediately type into his IPad.
The cute Boyi who heard it immediately gives a thumb up to Lam and smiles with honey-laced sweetness, Wei Zhan eyed at Boyi for such preferential treatments to Lam with some curiosity or maybe some discomfort and he finds it strange.
Boyi still didn't know but he feels warm with Lam like Lam is like his elderly relatives because of the compassionate eyes and warmth from Lam.
When Lam saw his smile, he just nods his head and returned that smile, that smile is like the ray of sunshine in summer but when Lam saw beside him is his boss who did not smile but his eyes seems to turn cold, like the cold winter that is merciless and harsh. Lam feels strange in his mind but he kept quiet, trying to think of the possibilities.
The team was then led to the administrative office where all the staff about twenty to thirty stopped their work and kept staring at the group that is walking in, girls or women secretly stealing glances at the handsome CEO and that beautiful boy beside him, as both were smartly dressed in a suit that cannot hide the outline of their slim body and long legs.
One of the old staff looks at Boyi and Wei Zhan and humbly asks for permission
"Sir, do you think it is alright to give them some introduction as there might also be fear and confusion for all the staff here," the elderly man asks.
Boyi did not know what to do or whether this would be a good idea and so his eyes directed themselves to Wei Zhan, who nods his head when he saw that Boyi seeking his approval.
"Yeah, go ahead," Wei Zhan told the elderly man, although Wei Zhan did not hold any post in L&M, of course, everyone knows that he is the powerhouse here, thus, they are all full of respect for him, after all, who would want to invest in a company that is leaning towards bankruptcy.
The elder, then stand in the middle of the floor and told everyone
"There has been a change of management for L&M, for a better and brighter future, the President will be the grandson of the founder of L&M, Mr Lan Yibo" when the elderly announced that, all the staff members stands up and clap their hands as a welcoming gesture.
This is also due to the fact that every one of the staff is aware of the state of the company and so new management is definitely expected and hopefully will be a new leaf of life for the declining company.
Boyi shyly steps forward but the boy is candid and straight as a pole
"Hi, everyone, my name is Lan Yibo, I am only nineteen and so, my guardian Mr Wei Zhan will be helping me and this team of five are the new members joining the company and I hope you all work co-operatively with them," Boyi told them with his serious face.
All the eyes are now looking at Wei Zhan as of course, his name is so popular that all the staff are nodding and smiling at each other
"Wow!!!! Wei Zhan"
"Wei Corporation young heir"
"Oh My Gosh!"
There were excitement and joy knowing that Wei Corporation CEO is here to support the young President.
Wei Zhan knew the right moment to give it a push or to empower the people, he is an eloquent speaker and a very powerful one. He also knew that the claps are also including him and also Boyi is young, he should step forward to support the young teenager
"Hi, Thank you for your welcome, together we will make L&M exceed its former glory...." Wei Zhan told them that everyone claps so fervently and hardly that the sound of claps is like thunders from heaven.
Wei Zhan lift up his hand and continue
"However, whether we can make it or not, does not depend on one person, no matter how good the person is, it depends on the team, and the team is YOU!" Wei Zhan told them and he even points to them
"Yes!"

Everyone looks at each other with joy as Wei Zhan makes them feel like they are part of the team, part of the company's success, and for some of them who had spent more than half their lives here, part of the second family.
This is the reason why the companies under Wei Corporation are doing so well and prospering because Wei Zhan is a person that is not only the leader but also a motivator as well. He not only gives high salaries but he values people as well. However, if you are not up the bar, then you probably better not work for him, but if you are hardworking and take your works seriously, Wei Zhan will always reward you.
People who work for Wei Corporation not only for money but also there is a sense of pride working with someone like Wei Zhan who moves the company to the top of the world, when people know that you are working with Wei Corporation, people are in awe.
Boyi had never heard anything like that and so the boy was very motivated and he claps non-stopped and so hard like his life is on the line.
Thus, when Wei Zhan raised his hand to thank everyone, the clapping stop but not Boyi until Li Ning beside him gives him a tap of the shoulder that Boyi stopped, he did not feel embarrassed at all but just deep down admiring the inspirational speech of Wei Zhan.
Thus, when the elderly walk them to the top office where the President's office is, Boyi is now beside Wei Zhan and he cutely nudges Wei Zhan shoulder for attention like a school kid
"Zhan-ge, my hand painful" Boyi pouts and shows Wei Zhan his slightly swollen red palm
Wei Zhan looks at the cute boy with apprehension and not sure what he wants, but the young heir is fast and after a quick thought, he remembered how the cute boy claps and claps non-stop when he finished the short speech, somehow something stirs in the young patriarch like he wanted a slice of cake, not a slice of that acknowledged praise from Boyi.
"Hmmm...what happened to your hands?" Wei Zhan asks with warm eyes.
Li Ning and Lam who are following behind them, look at each other and roll their eyes, they knew how intelligent the boss is and they also knew that their boss definitely knew why the boy's hands are red and swollen,

Li Ning and Lam looks at each other and talked with their eyes and couldn't help but want to giggle but they couldn't and it is a bit torturing for both of them.
Boyi then told Wei Zhan full of honesty and earnestly
"Wow!!!! Zhan-ge your speech so good, so cannot stop clapping" Boyi told Zhan.
Wow, so the bow hit the red spot now, as Wei Zhan feels the warm current in his heart, the boy now praising him and telling him that his speech was great. Wei Zhan also didn't know when he became a little childish and wanted praises from someone.
"Mmm...you like my speech?" well, the tall man is fetching more praises, the two loyal subordinates behind just couldn't hold anymore and laughed with this mouth agape but with no sound.
Boyi is an honest and very upfront kid, this is just who he is and so he nods his head a few times like a cute little puppy to his owner and even speaks a little louder
"What no!" Boyi exclaimed with a big expression
Wei Zhan looks shocked and walks very slowly with his team, while the others are ahead and in front
"Huh!" Wei Zhan frowns with a little ignorance
Boyi uses his hands to make a big arch and told Wei Zhan
"I love your speech, not just like," Boyi told Wei Zhan
"Mmmm...." Wei Zhan's satisfaction fills his face, the rarely seen smile appears on his face, those two behind, almost couldn't walk with soft tissue attacking their soft legs but their strong determination and regularly exercised legs carry them on.
Finally, they reached the President's floor and the office where the former Ho Peng used be in, next to it is the office of his wife and the secretaries are sitting outside of the office.
The office is luxuries decorated and even has crystal chandeliers and beautifully crafted tables and chairs, this shows how much Ho Peng and his wife pampered themselves even when the company is not doing well.
Wei Zhan looks around with annoyance and his face can be seen by Boyi who also felt the same. With the company going downtrend, it was heard that they did a major renovation of the office last year, this was told by the elderly.
Li Ning couldn't help it and mention
"Mmm...they seem to enjoy lives" Li Ning sneers with anger as well.
Lam follows on by saying
"Yeah, let's see how long they last" Lam continue and they both hated the Hos' for what they have done to Boyi and the company.
The elderly then bow slightly and told Boyi
"As the President of the company, your salary will be 10 million per year" Lawyer Chu took out the contract after the elderly told Boyi
"Yes, this is true" confirmed the elderly.
The elderly sighs heavily
"It used to be 2 million per year and the rest will depend on the profit, but these two, increased themselves to 10 million since the company is not doing well," the elderly told them with anger in his voice.
Wei Zhan squits his eyes with anger.
Boyi think for while and he told Wei Zhan and everyone
"I will not take a cent from the company. Use the 10 million for the running of the company" Boyi told them.
Wei Zhan looks at Boyi and whispers to him softly
"You can take lesser if you want, don't need to cut off completely," Wei Zhan told Boyi, as he also thinks that as he is the rightful heir
Boyi shakes his head and he whispers to Wei Zhan
"My mind is set," Boyi told Wei Zhan very softly but the voice has firmness in it
Wei Zhan looks at this kid, who can be childish, playful, and some nervousness but he can be mature at certain matters and be forthright in some decisions, he also has an underlining stubbornness that no one can change his mind which is admirable to Wei Zhan.
After Boyi announced that he is not taking a cent of the salary, the staff all look at each other and they were shocked with happiness.
The elderly comes forward and they also announced their decisions
"We have decided to cut 30% of our salaries and we apologize we cannot do much because we have families to feed," the elderly staff told everyone
Waves and waves of current of surprises were surfaced and Wei Zhan was surprised and he has already made his decision before he told Boyi
"Seam Management will not charge any fees for helping to take over the management of this company," Wei Zhan told them
The staff almost tears because everyone knew Sean Management, they are a world-class management company and their fees are hill because their results are higher. All the employees are world-renowned talented people.
The group from the Sean Management also whisper to Li Ning and Li Ning nods his head and he whispers to Wei Zhan
"Sir, your company staff wants to cut their pay by 30 percent for this job," Li Ning told Wei Zhan and he is also emotional when he heard that.
Wei Zhan raised his brow and looks at his well-deserved staffs and he told everyone
"Thank you for all your sacrifices but I am confident that this will only be short-term, as when the company becomes profitable, your reward will be there," Wei Zhan told them full of confidence as he knew how many successful companies they have helped to manage.
Boyi is so happy and he looks at everyone with his red eyes and told them
"Thank you all, I don't know what to say, you all make me speechless," Boyi told them and his nose is already red.
Wei Zhan smiles at Boyi when he saw the cute boy and told him loudly
"Boyi, you started by not wanting your salary"
"You are the motivator" Wei Zhan praised the cute boy sincerely
Boyi looks at Wei Zhan and he knew how much Wei Zhan had done for him, in fact in his heart, he was truly motivated by Wei Zhan.
"No, Zhan-ge, I am motivated by you," Boyi told Wei Zhan
Everyone claps and rejoice and look forward to the bright future of L&M
