Chapter 27 (You are important too)
That kind of coincident is like striking a lotto and Wei Zhan stands a little dumbfounded and stupefied. He looks at the cute boy who is having great fun chatting with his nanny and didn't even know of the incident.
Wei Zhan is a man that is always in control of everything around him but he had a great realization that he cannot control fate, how he has already been helping Boyi unknowingly.
Wei Zhan looks at the boy whose back is facing him and chatting away and his heart becomes soft
"Are we fated?"
Wei Zhan stands a little dazed looking at the back of these two who are now looking more like relatives, chatting away with no awkwardness between them, although there is a huge difference between their ages, there is a surge of warm current in his heart.
The young patriarch walks up to his master bedroom in deep thought, he drops everything in the bathroom and changes into his home clothes, which are a light chino and a light blue shirt. Wei Zhan then puts his laptop on his side table and sits down for a thought.
"Boyi, what are you to me?" Wei Zhan has a very strong controlling personality, anything that is unclear and ambiguous threatens his peace radar, it can give him slight unrest and he would want to eliminate those uncomfortable feelings and be his own top controlling personality that has aided him to be successful for the past twenty over years.
Those thoughts seem to have not given Wei Zhan any solution, he was at first very against Boyi because he was being forced to have him, Wei Zhan hated being forced to do anything, he is a man that had experienced a country that has freedom like England where he did his double Ph.D. there for a couple of years.
Wei Zhan ruffles his own hair in a sigh of frustration and decided to follow nature, of course, let it flow till it comes to a conclusion by itself, yet the urge for control is battling those natural flows.
Wei Zhan stands up and uses his fingers to straighten his hair and go down to join in the happy chatty duo.
The footsteps could be heard from the soft shoes that rustled on the marble floor, there are already some dishes on the dining table, Aunty Wong was still chopping a white and tender soya sauce chicken and some Boyi's precisely measured and cut cucumber. There are also some sweet and sour pork, as well as minced pork tofu together with Pak Choy as vegetables.
Aunty Wong also makes chicken fishball soup and some chicken favorited rice. All the dishes had almost been done but the delicious smell from the kitchen has invaded the dining table, plus the voices of the two talking about how big or small the chicken size should be, thus the background voices are very harmonious and peaceful.
Wei Zhan is walking towards the dining table, the apartment is large and more like the size of a Bangalow, thus when he was walking, he smell the food, hear the chatting, and even the "cling and clang" of the cutleries making the whole apartment atmosphere feels cheerful and full of vibrant. This is a huge difference compared to Wei Zhan who would come home late, Aunty Wong only already left after cleaning the house and sometimes make some simple dinner. The apartment is as quiet as a ghost, and Wei Zhan can only hear his own footstep and the clapping of his own hand to turn on and off the lights in the house.
Wei Zhan has gotten used to the quietness and loneliness and he would just move on as usual, maybe this is how he becomes one with the atmosphere and the apartment, cold and distance, which he himself is also not aware of it.
However, when all his senses elements were activated due to the two, Wei Zhan feels the pleasant and amiable surroundings that he missed so much when he was twelve with his parents, encircling around the dining table.
Wei Zhan makes a faked cough to get some attention. Aunty Wong responded quickly
"Hey, Ah ZhanZhan, you are here" Aunty Wong was so happy that she forgets that there is someone new and here because she was so delighted that she called Wei Zhan his child's name, as a nanny for Wei Zhan, Aunty Wong used to call him "Ah Zhan" when he was older like now, and "Zhan Zhan" when he was young, however in from of other, it has always been "Young Master" out of respect for his status and also maybe his age.
Aunty Wong immediately realizes her mistakes and put her hands over her mouth
"Ha, my mouth has been talking too much young master"
"Heh Heh" Aunty Wong tries to cover her mistakes and she looks at Wei Zhan very apologetically calling his pet name in front of the young boy.
Wei Zhan already saw the cute boy rolling his eyes and he knew something will come from him after spending some time with Boyi. So he tried to put on a stern look and not smile at all but he nod at Aunty Wong.
However, the ears of Boyi perks up like a rabbit when he heard the name "Zhan Zhan" and the cheeky boy look at Wei Zhan with mischievous eyes
"Zhan Zhan, so cute" Boyi giggles
"Zhan Zhan" Boyi burst out and then he chants Wei Zhan's name
"Zhan Zhan"
"Zhan Zhan"
"Zhan Zhan"
Worst, he dances around the stern-looking Wei Zhan and giggles more and say
"Sound like a baby"
"I want to call you Zhan Zhan" Boyi looks at Wei Zhan, his tickling worms already activated and it is really hard to stop as he giggles away unto Wei Zhan, who puffed up his cheek and gives him an answer
"No!" Wei Zhan told Boyi, an affirmative no with no smile on the face
Boyi pouts and looks at him
"Mmmm... how about you can call me yiyi or bobo and I call you Zhan Zhan"
"Hahahahaha"
"I like it" Boyi still in his tickling mode.
Wei Zhan knew that he needs to put a stop to this, this is ridiculous, he will not be called "Zhan Zhan" by this lil boy and also what if other heard it, all his cool images will be down the drain.
"You are not allowed to call me that" Wei Zhan told Boyi
The tone is so cold and the eyes too, Boyi stops his laughter and in fact, he is a little frightened because when Wei Zhan is cold, his aura is strong and it can even tumble the wall.
Boyi pulls a sulky face and nods his head.
Aunty Wong reads the situation and immediately becomes a mediator
"Aiya, Boyi, don't be upset, emmm...this is because no one call him that name for a long time, it is my fault, my fault" Aunty Wong told Boyi and also to Wei Zhan
Boyi is kind and always feel for the elderly especially if they exhibit a motherly manner and temperament
"Alright, no calling Zhan Zhan, Aunty Wong is not at fault" Boyi told Wei Zhan with a very soft voice.
Wei Zhan is satisfied with the answer and he now feels a little bad for spoiling the atmosphere that he loves so much before that.
Wei Zhan looks at Aunty Wong and then he told her
"Mmmm....is the dinner ready," Wei Zhan asks
Immediately, the savvy lady starts to work
"Ya, ya, lots of dishes because Boyi and of course young master are both here too" Aunty Wong tries to cheer up the atmosphere, she felt sorry for her loose mouth.
Wei Zhan had internal sighs and he think that he might be too fierce with the boy, this is probably the nature of a teenager, which Wei Zhan although did not experience much due to his heavy responsibilities for the Wei family, he was groomed from a young age.
Boyi is although had an age of twenty-two but he had not experienced freedom and love, and thus for some matters, Boyi still have the mentality of an eighteen or nineteen years old, cheeky and funny.
"Let's eat" as the man of the house, Wei Zhan gives the instruction and everyone starts picking up the chopstick, Aunty Wong will always join Wei Zhan for meals in this apartment when Wei Zhan is alone and so she eats with them.
Aunty Wong already put some dishes on Boyi and also for Wei Zhan as she is used to serving others, thus Boyi keeps nodding her head as she feels a little embarrassed.
"Aiya, needs to eat more, both of you are slim"
"Wait!, is this the fashion now, slim and skinny with protruding cheekbones"
"Hee Hee then young master and you will be very popular, then" Aunty Wong blabbers to both of them to keep the atmosphere warm and sweet which is very much welcomed.
Then, the elderly lady is busy serving
"Eat more, ha ha" Aunty Wong told them
Wei Zhan actually like Aunty Wong very much, sincere and kind and he then told her
"You also eat" the young heir puts some chicken onto Aunty Wong.
Aunty Wong is so happy but she already knew that Wei Zhan is always respectful towards her, then Boyi also follows suit and puts some vegetables on to Aunty Wong
"Vegetables make you look young, I think you already ate a lot" Boyi praises Aunty Wong.
Then, the boy puts some onto Wei Zhan
"Mmmmm....you need a lot, hee hee" the cheeky boy laughs a little and starts to crawls his rice.
Of course, the intelligent Mr Wei Zhan knew Boyi hidden meaning and he just looks at him and decided to let it past but he still defends himself
"It alright, I don't fight with kid" Wei Zhan told him but he faked a cold look and Boyi immediately shrinks and did not dare to provoke further.
Then, Wei Zhan told Aunty Wong and of course Boyi as well
"Mmmm....I will be away for two nights, so Aunty Wong, you stay here to keep Boyi company" Wei Zhan told them.
Both of them nod their head as they knew that he is the head of Wei Corporation and of course, he is always busy.
Aunty Wong then told Wei Zhan
"Young master, Boyi should live in the room next to you, cos that is the biggest guest room" Aunty Wong made her request because that room at the end is the smallest room of all.
Boyi immediately told them
"I am alright" Boyi smiles
Wei Zhan looks at Aunty Wong and told her
"You can decide on that" Wei Zhan is not too worried about room arrangement after all they are going to live together, there is not much-hidden place in the apartment.
Aunty smiles and nods
"Good! Good!"
The dinner was eaten harmoniously and enjoyably.
Wei Zhan had an early flight and so he left very early. Boyi woke up from his sleep and he had a very peaceful sleep, he left his attached bathroom toilet light on as she didn't like to sleep in the dark and so he feels very fresh in the morning.
Boyi jumps from the bed and hops onto the bathroom to do his routine and then took his bag and mobile phone to run down for breakfast as he has a morning class today.
When he came down the stairs, he somehow took a glance at the swimming pool, which he doesn't know why it may be his curiosity or whatever, he took a glance and saw some water still wet on the edge of the tiles, he knew that Wei Zhan had woke up early and did his exercise and even took a swim before he boards the plane.
"Wow! So disciple!"
"Like the monk in Shaolin, heh heh"
Somehow, Boyi feels funny, of course not, this is just in his thought, Wei Zhan had a lot of hair, lol.
The boy hop to the table and saw all kinds of breakfast, Boyi is not used to heavy breakfast and so he just grab and bun and wanted to walk off to Uni
"Boyi, wait!" the sweet Aunty Wong calls Boyi
"Your lunch" Aunty Wong even prepares Boyi's lunch, making Boyi smiles like spring flowers and laughs
"You are the best" Boyi sweet words fills the heart of the elderly lady
"Sweet talker, go or you will be late" Aunty Wong told Boyi
Boyi hurriedly took his helmet and runs to the lift that gets him to the carpark where he parked his bike together with the security team. When he reached there, Frank and James already waiting in the black car chatting with each other and also like Boyi eating a bun in their mouth (Wait: Author: It seems like all young people are like that...eating little breakfast and going to Uni/work, hahahaha).
Boyi greet them and Frank and James hurriedly got into the black Audi and follows Boyi.
"Let's roll" Boyi told them.
The black Audi parked in the furthest carpark off the university and the two bodyguards sit under the three as they saw Boyi parked his bike waving at them as he walks into the large university building. Frank and James tried to be as inconspicuous as possible, allowing Boyi to have his freedom and enjoy his normal days in the university.
Boyi is happy today as things in Wei Zhan's apartment seem very peaceful, he was humming a song softly while waiting, he knew he is a little late and so he half jogs into his class.
However, before he sat down, the class professor who is an old man of sixties lowered his think glasses and told Boyi
"You are wanted in the staff office," the professor told Boyi
Boyi was a little surprised but he still nod to the professor and walks towards the main office building.
Before Boyi could reach the building, he already heard the wailing and screaming of a woman and man, the voice is unmistakenly his foster parents.
"Ahhhh....you all seek justice for us....."
"We were being chased out by the son that we brought up...."
"Now, we are homeless...."
"Help us .....the university should put so order for us....this is a education centre...."
"Help us......look at us old and now no where to go...."
It was slightly chaotic with some university staff trying to calm them down and an elderly man of seventies was trying very hard to calm the situation. He is the vice-dean of the university. A man that specializes in China literature and of course filial piety is a huge thing for him after been studying such value his whole life.
"You calm down....this is a university.....not ..good...to do this here" the Vice-Dean tried to calm the situation.
When he saw Boyi walking up, the Vice-Dean waves with some anger on his face.
"Boyi, you are here...." the Vice-Dean told Boyi
Boyi was a little shaken and when he saw the foster parents, hatred swells up when he saw them wailing and crying, trying to get the whole world on their side. Screaming and crying their pretended heart out for pity and compassion put Boyi in a difficult position.
However, being an educated man and a Vice-Dean, the old professor had experienced many challenges and he is still sensible
"This matter is a family issue, you need to settle at home, not in university....." the professor told them but the Ho couple is determined to get what they wanted.
To make matters worst, they even lowered themselves to the extent of a sudden dramatic show.
While Boyi was shaken and disturbed with no words, both of them dropped their knees and kneel in front of Boyi and wails loudly
"You cannot abandon us, we have no home to live....."
"Let us live in our home....."
Their voices scream louder and louder until it attracts more students as well as lecturers passing by.
Boyi was nervous and lost, he had never handled such a situation, he was trembling and he didn't know what to do until the experienced old professor who saw his state of mind, trying to calm the family he told Boyi
"Hey, young Boyi, I don't know what is the situation but do you have someone you can call to help you handle this situation," the old professor told Boyi and at the same time he told the Ho couple
"You...both get up.....that is not the way to do things, should settle family matters at home...."
"This...this ...is not a place to make a scene...." the Vice-Dean even gets some staff to chase people away and lead them into his office.
Boyi standing in a shocking state took out his mobile and wanted to call his buddies but they are all students and so he call Li Ning
Li Ning saw his number and immediately pick up the call
"Little master....what can I do for you?, where is Frank and James" Li Ning is sharp and he knew that Boyi would not call for no reason at all.
As Boyi was walking to the office, he told Li Ning
"P.A. Li, my foster parent are here......(sniff)...I...I....need..need...help..."
"James and Frank are outside the building, they are not allowed into the building" immediately Li Ning got it and he knew that the Hos are causing trouble for him.
"Where will you be? Are you injured?" Li Ning asks
"No..but..they...I...going to the Vice Dean office now," Boyi told Li Ning
"Y-you wait, I will come now" Li Ning dropped everything in the office and before he heads out, he sent a text to Wei Zhan who is now in another city about the matter, although, he knew that Wei Zhan is most likely not able to see the message because he is too packed with meetings. Still, Li Ning knows his boss's temperament if he did not inform him on this matter, somehow, he felt that Boyi's matters did have weight in Wei Zhan's heart.
Frank and James immediately rushed into the Vice-Dean office to stand beside Boyi making sure that he is unharmed.
The Vice-Dean was shocked when he saw two men in suits checking on Boyi and comforting the shocked Boyi.
Boyi is not so nervous when Frank and James come into the office and stand by his side.
The Hos saw the bodyguards were naturally shocked as they did not expect Boyi to have bodyguards but since they are already here, they will want to act to the end to at least try to change the boy's mind, now they still wailing and sobbing away seeking pity from the whole world
"Don't chase us out, we two old folks had no home....." Mdm Yu still wailing away.
The Vice-Dean felt like he is going to have a headache with this whole family issue until within 10 minutes Li Ning turns up, still huffing and puffing.
When he enters the door, he looks at Boyi first
"Are you alright?" Li Ning ask Boyi who already had red eyes and a nose, being accused is not a good feeling for Boyi but he did not want to entangle the couple.
Boyi nods but when he saw Li Ning, all those tormenting emotions flow out like a flood gate being opened, he had been oppressed and these two wanted to covet and take his wealth and now he had been accused, that kind of aggrieved feeling is hard to bear.
Li Ning pats his gently and told him
"Let me handle," Li Ning told Boyi, and Boyi nods with gratefulness
Li Ning walks to the Vice-Dean and introduced himself and give him the card when the Vice-Dean saw the card, he was stunned and nod at Li Ning waving his hands up.
"I leave this matter to you," the Vice-Dean told Li Ning, he will not want to challenge the Wei Family.
Li Ning was furious and he told the Ho Peng and Mdm Yu
"Boyi's guardian is now Mr. Wei Zhan and..." before Li Ning continue, his mobile rings and he saw the caller ID is his boss, immediately Li Ning picks up the call
"Let me talk, out on speaker" Wei Zhan voice is icy and cold like the ice-berg
"Today's matter will not go unrecorded, Mr Ho will just have to wait for my lawyer's letter" Wei Zhan's angry voice echoed through the whole room.
Mdm Yu is always stupid and she wanted to try and reason out by voicing
"But...t-the house..." before she could talk it was cut off by a loud voice
"SHUT UP!" Wei Zhan seldom lose his temper but he just did
"Ning, get the team to throw them out of the university and make sure they are not allowed into the university ground again. This is a harassment charge" Wei Zhan firm and strong voice over the speakerphone.
Immediately, the bodyguard team of four brought by Li Ning and including Frank and James stand ready to throw them out of the university but the Hos are now frightened now
However, Mdm Yu still wants to fake her pitiful cry
"Th-this is disrespect...this..." before she could finish, James took out a cloth and stuff into her mouth and glared at her, Mdm Yu knew she lost the battle, and she and her husband were escorted out of the university.
The old man Vice-Dean was already overwhelmed by the whole situation and when the icy cold voice on the phone makes him tremble.
"Put Boyi on the phone" Wei Zhan tone is softer now and Li Ning pass his phone to Boyi and he even ushered everyone out of the office, including the trembling Vice-Dean
"Hey..are you alright" Wei Zhan's voice is gentler now, like coaxing a child which he himself also finds unexpected.
"Mmm...." Boyi is holding his tears but that gentle voice makes him ready to cry his heart out but he holds on.
"I am coming back tonight," Wei Zhan told Boyi
"B-But you meant to come home tomorrow night and you have important meetings," Boyi asks and he himself was surprised by the change.
"I will manage that," Wei Zhan told Boyi
"I am alright now, it is more important to attend the meeting," Boyi told Wei Zhan, Boyi tried to maintain a calm voice.
There was silence as both held their phones for a minute with no words.
"Boyi" Wei Zhan calls him
"Hm" Boyi reply
"You are important too"

I was watching the drama "S.W.A.T" hahahaha
I woke up early to finish this.
Now going for breakfast....
Sticking to healthy choices after all the festive eating.
