Chapter 15 (Birthday Party at the Ho's)
Boyi nods and he felt more affirmed after listening to Li Ning and he felt that Li Ning is very professional and a man that speaks honestly.
Boyi holding the contract and he sighs but he is happy that L & M can be saved.
Li Ning can see the stresses and worries in the cute boy's face, he felt sorry for him but he also did not want to say too much as he knows as a professional, he might have already spoken a lot which he had to keep his boss privacy.
Li Ning just ensure the boy again
"Little master, don't worry too much, alright" Li Ning reminds Boyi again.
Boyi grabs the contract and hugs it tightly and smiles
"I trust you and Wei Zhan" Boyi told Li Ning
Li Ning nods but he really hopes that the contract will come to a fruitful outcome, he can see that the boy is really innocent and very humble.
So, both of them greet each other goodbye and Li Ning gracefully paid for the drinks and told him that it will be under company expenses, just to block Boyi from paying, or in the eyes of others, Li Ning will look more like a bully making Boyi pays for the drink.
When Li Ning reached the office, he was surprised that there was a notification on his phone
ID BOSS : Are you back?
Li Ning : Yes
BOSS : Come see me immediately
LI Ning : Yes, Sir, right away
Li Ning takes a deep breath, as the driver had just parked the car at the main entrance of the Wei Corporation, a tall majestic building and is now the tallest building in the world. Wei Zhan is very competitive in certain areas and his ambition is always on the business.
The special lift takes Li Ning straight up to the floor where Wei Zhan's office is. The office is extra quiet with big open space and this is what Wei Zhan wants, he didn't allow any other senior managers on the same floor, only secretaries that work under Li Ning which there are about four of them and then Li Ning and Wei Zhan only on this floor. The rest of it is an all-conference room, thus the office is peaceful and quiet, just as Wei Zhan likes and wants.
Li Ning walks with quick steps as when Wei Zhan texts him, meaning he is walking and of course this P.A. is not going to make his boss waits.
The lift has arrived and when he steps out of it, one of the secretaries already told him,
"Boss says to go straight to see him first" the secretary who is a lady of mid-late twenties who is now a few months pregnant told Li Ning.
"Alright, thanks, Mrs Tong" the secretary is a very diligent employee and sort of a leader for the four secretaries and they all works under Li Ning, they do deal with Wei Zhan but more dealings with Li Ning and Li Ning is actually their direct superior.
"Is the baby kicking you?" Li Ning smiles and asks Mrs Tong
"Yeah, it is a naughty boy" Mrs Tong told Li Ning
"Ah...what a blessing" Li Ning has a good relationship with her
"Thanks" Mrs Tong full of happiness to be a new mother.
Mrs Tong softly told Li Ning
"Sir quite anxious, go quickly," Mrs Tong told Li Ning and she, of course, doesn't know what it is all about, but she knew her roles and she never interfere, everything on this floor is all private and confidential. Every employee on this floor knew their roles or they will be out of the door faster than the wind. Phew!!!!
Li Ning nods and walks quickly to Wei Zhan massive office
"Come in" Wei Zhan answered after Li Ning knocks
Wei Zhan sitting on the massive desk and still signing documents and then Li Ning stops in front of him to wait for him to finish signing.
Wei Zhan puts his gold pen down and then looks at Li Ning with his slim and strong hands holding onto his chin
"So?" Wei Zhan asks
"All done, sir" Li Ning immediately puts the contract in front of Wei Zhan.
"Mmmmm" Wei Zhan looks at the signature with satisfaction
Lan Boyi
Li Ning notices it and he speaks on behalf of the boss
"Sir, for his age, very nice signature," Li Ning told Wei Zhan
Wei Zhan raised his eyebrow and then looks at his own signature

Li Ning couldn't control it and told Wei Zhan
"Very matching signatures" Li Ning praised but he stops when he saw the staring eyes from Wei Zhan.
"Nosy" Wei Zhan snorts and Li Ning quickly took a step back.
Then, the face of Wei Zhan seems relaxed
"Tell me what happens at the restaurant," Wei Zhan asks
Li Ning stunts for a while, Wei Zhan is a person that treats time like gold, meaning money and he usually wouldn't ask much when the contract of any proposals have been signed. Wei Zhan goes for the outcome and when it is done, he doesn't waste time asking details.
Li Ning quickly adjust his state of mind to answer the boss
"Oh, very quickly it was done, the boy, no, the little boss came in and ordered a hot chocolate and then he looked at the contract rather quickly, when he saw that the contract had included our support and help for L&M, he immediately signed it," Li Ning told Wei Zhan.
Wei Zhan looks at Li Ning and then he chuckles
"Like a child" Wei Zhan mumbles
"Yeah, a very trusting one, Sir," Li Ning told Wei Zhan and he kept quiet, don't talk too much or he might hit the nail on the wall and suffers damages.
"Alright, place the contract on the table, go" Wei Zhan told Li Ning.
Li Ning bows and hurriedly left the office and took the piles of signed documents as he goes out.
Wei Zhan turns his chair towards the wide window and tapping on the armrest of his chair with his slim fingers and then he watches the cloud floating about in the sky and in his deep thoughts (Sorry, this time round, Wei Zhan didn't tell the author what is his thoughts, so I didn't write here).
Boyi steps on his bike and went back to his mansion, it was already late afternoon and he knew he had a tough night tonight and so he walks quickly up the stairs and wanted to take a nap.
He then WeChat his buddies in a group.
"Thanks, guys, see you there at 5.30 pm" Boyi messages them
"Sure"
"No worry buddy"
"Yup"
"Will be there"
All his buddies reply him promptly.
Boyi then went to take his short nap.
Boyi woke up in a daze, he didn't even know that he had slept for nearly two hours, which is from 1pm to 3pm. Boyi then wanting to relax, he change into his running gear and took a thirty-minute run around the estate that has been left by his grandparents to him.
When Boyi is running back, he saw his buddies car driving into the estate and they start waving at him
"Hi bros" Sung Poh who is driving shouting at him
"Looking good" Jinho teases Boyi
"Yeah, your ex-boyfriend that scumbags will regret like shitty shit" Wenyi who is the quiet one but not today when he thought of the shitty person.
"Yeah, makes him drools" Tung Poh teases
All of them got out of the car and did shoulder bumps with Boyi.
"I go and take a shower, you guys wait downstairs, alright," Boyi told them and all of them moved their heads as they are quite the regular here and they are familiar with the Zhangs'.
Boyi is now in the bathroom letting the cold water calm his nerves, he feels like tonight is a showdown, much like in the movies where the two opposite gang making their demands. He doesn't know how this going to be, but he hopes for the best and he knows that this is necessary and is just thankful that he had his buddies with him.
After that, Boyi chooses a blue shirt with a leather jacket and rip jeans and then he combs his hair neatly. He looks at the mirror and then starts telling himself
"You can do it Boyi, Jayou!" the Boyi hopes down the stairs and his buddies are all sitting down stair chatting about, and when they saw him, they are whistles together
"Hello Handsome" the Twins smile and pat their little brother shoulders
"Professional model," Wenyi told Yibo
"Mmmm..... Korea heartthrob" Jinho told Boyi
Boyi laughs with them and then he straightens his face
"Are we ready?" Boyi asks
Then they all round together in a circle with shoulders to shoulders and shouted with all their palms one on top of the others
"WE CAN DO IT!" they all shouted together and Mrs Zhan runs out and saw them and laughs
"Youngsters!" and she runs back into the kitchen to cook with giggling sounds.
Boyi decided not to tell the Zhangs about them going back to the Hos' because he doesn't want them to worry and it is not fair as they are already done a lot for Boyi taking care of the mansion plus they are also elderly.
Boyi took his bike and the four of them got into the car and head towards the Ho's villa.
When Boyi walks into the villa where they can hear music and voices which brights, it seems more like a battle for Boyi but he told every step with courage and finally he reached the entrance of the villa and he pressed the doorbells.
Mdm Yu was the one opens the door and she couldn't believe her eyes because the person in front of her is a neatly dressed and extremely handsome youngster and not like the golden-haired and pale Boyi. Of course, she recognized him but the change is so drastic that she hesitated and was silent for a while.
"Oh, wow!!!!! Boyi, you look good" Mdm Yu made his commercial smile to cover up her shock
Boyi looks at her with his blank eyes and just told her
"Yeah, I feel good!" Boyi told her
She saw that behind Boyi are 4 youngsters but she kept quiet
"Oh, Happy Birthday Boyi, wow you brought your friends, are they from Uni" Mdm Yu was curious and she wanted to know more but Boyi steps in and did not want to reply to her.
"See! See! I throw a big party for you"
"You are nineteen today"
"I spent a lot of time preparing for you" the woman is like a Donald duck yapping away non-stop (Author: maybe better to roast her into a roast duck for a dish. I love roasted duck)
Boyi's affirms his mind and whatever she talks did not get into his ears, she is like talking to the air.
Then, when Boyi steps in, there were balloons dropping from the ceiling and shouting
"HAPPY Birthday!" from the crowd which is mainly made up of his "dog meat friends" and also Ho Cheng and Ho Wan's friend.
Ho Cheng came forward and smiles like a fox
"Happy Birthday Boyi" Ho Cheng
Boyi just nods and refuses to smile
Ho Wan came over and wishes him
"Happy Birthday Boyi" Boyi looks at her like he is seeing a see-through glass
Ho Peng came over and makes a Santa laughs "Ha Ha Ha"
"Happy birthday Boyi!" Boyi looks at him like he is part of the wall.
Then, comes Emily, his so-called former girlfriend, and now his cousin girlfriend looks at Boyi up and down, there seem to be deep regrets for choosing Ho Cheng who now looks like a cow compared to this handsome Boyi.
"Too Bad"
Emily extends her smile hand and wanted to shake Boyi's hand but Boyi looks at her like she is a virus
"Sanitize your hands" then walks away, making the buddies behind always bend their waist laughing away but they controlled themselves for Boyi.
The worst is the Kang Yang who saw Boyi and his eyes scanning him up and down, down and up, like he saw a Prince Charming but he is now secretly Ho Wan's boyfriend which Boyi becomes aware of before he died. Now looking at that disgusting face, Boyi still remembered on his death bed, Kang Yang laughs at him
"You think I like you"
"You must be joking!"
Boyi's eyes flashes with fire when he remembered that, thus when Kang Yang came to follow with his eye sparkling and beaming to see such a handsome young Boyi, yes, he swallow his salvia (probably to prevent himself from drooling)
Kang Yang wanted to come and give Boyi a hug, Boyi dodge it by turning a quick step and Kang Yang hugs into a ball of air, making the people all laugh. Kang Yang straightens himself and pretends to laugh
"Very funny Boyi"
"Umm...Happy Birthday"
Boyi didn't reply to him but just walks past him and then told him straight on his face
"We didn't have a relationship as others think, you are never my boyfriend but just to make it crystal clear, I pronoun that we BREAK UP from now onwards" everyone was shocked and keep quiet.
The atmosphere becomes tense but Boyi doesn't care. Kang Yang was shocked and he wanted to come forward but Ho Peng stops him
"Hey, it is your birthday, we will talk about that later" Ho Peng told Boyi
Suddenly, Boyi turns towards Ho Peng and Mdm Yu.
"Ahhh....."
"Since everyone is here, I also want to make another announcement"
"From today onwards, you both are no longer my foster parent"
Boyi gives him a sharp look
"Our relationship ends here today" Boyi told them.
Ho Peng and Mdm Yu are definitely like fish caught in the dry land, they did not prepare for this happenings and so they were a little shocked. However, Ho Peng is a seasoned man and a trickster and so he quickly regains himself and faked his smile
"Boyi, you might be drunk?" Ho Peng told Boyi and everyone just laugh and nod their heads.
Boyi almost blow his top and he shouted
"I am not drunk" Boyi told them.
"I come back to say goodbye" Boyi told them.
"Also, I want to take something that belongs to my parents" Boyi is indeed a child and he let the cat out of the bag a little too fast and alerted the old fox.
Ho Peng immediately asks
"What do you want to take?" Ho Peng asks and Boyi steps back a little shocked and keeps quiet.
There were silent and then Ho Peng speaks
"You are all grown up and you think you have wings and if you want independent, then that is fine for us but you need to sign something for us, emmm....just some shares in the company, to make sure that we have little money for our old age," Ho Peng told Boyi.
Boyi knew this is coming but now he actually a little trembles but he still tries to be brave
"I don't want to sign anything at all" Boyi shouted and his buddies comes behind and support him
"Hey, he didn't want to sign, means he will not sign," Sung Poh told him
"Yup, you cannot force him" Tung Poh the twin now stands in front of Boyi with his brother
"We have laws here you know," Wenyi told them and he and Jinho stands around Boyi.
Suddenly, there is a loud laugh from Ho Peng and Mdm Yu and standing behind them are their children, Emily and Kang Yang, plus they also have a group of low life that would do anything for money with them in disgusts as their friends.
They all look fierce and ready for a fight and they outnumber the five young people who are now grouping themselves together and slightly shaken.
Ho Peng then told Boyi
"You sign this document or you will never get out of here alive," Ho Peng told Boyi and Following by then a document is now on the table and there was loud laughter and cheering from the Ho family and they are now squeezing and threatening the group of youngsters.
The atmosphere looks tense and Boyi is now having cold sweats, he did not want his buddies to get hurt and he did not expect them to be so unreasonable. Boyi is young and terribly inexperienced and now he could see the real cruel face of his foster parents and cousins.
As they pushed the four friends away and drag Boyi out by the wrist, Boyi shouted out
"Leave my friends alone"
"I won't sign it"
Boyi is now in tears and his hands are now being pressed by Ho Peng and Mdm Yu to sign but he is resisting, his wrist is all sore and they even hold onto his body so that he is trapped. Boyi is crying with tears in his eyes worrying about his friends and also his parent's wealth and he shouted so loud that his voices turn hoarse
"Don't"
"Let me go"
"Ahhhhh...."
"You are all evil people"
Still, Boyi refuse to sign and they keep pressing him until Boyi tries to make an attempt as he uses his legs to kick the table but those low life that is accepting money from the Hos' saw it and they kick Boyi knee cap
"Ahhh...sniff....nooooo......" Boyi tears flow and he has pain in his knee and his body and arms are now being captured by those people and Ho Peng is pressing his hands again onto the papers.
Suddenly, there were footsteps rushing into the hall, and everyone was shocked by the people that are coming into the house.
There were about 10 men in suits and they partway for a tall and slim man coming in with his killing aura
The buddies shouted
"Blue Brothers!"
