A/n: Ok, so this one might seem a little weird at first but trust me, I think it's gonna turn out pretty good. So if you've watched the movie Escape room, you'll probably understand this better but if you haven't don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure you would know what an escape room is, if not it's not complicated, you basically get put in a room and have to find clues to escape it in a certain amount of time. I kind of had a weird dream like this last night, Ik I get weird dreams, Tbs was in it.I also made up some of my own characters for this so I hope you enjoy!
"I think you turn left" I told him.
"I say right" Benny protested.
"Well, the map says left"
"I don't trust the map" He said " the map told me I was in Kentucky when I was in Ohio"
"Fair enough" I sighed.
"Don't worry it's not much longer" He rested his hand on my thigh.
"You said that an hour ago!"
"We'll we're travelling a long way"
"And it was your idea!"
"Ok, fine, yes it was" He agreed " but you can relax when we get there"
"If we ever get there"
"Oh look! We're here!"
He drove into the hotel and found a parking spot. It was a pretty big hotel, it looked really nice and fancy. It had lots of facilities too, like a pool, a restaurant and a bar. Benny dragged me here for my birthday, he insisted on it. I told him he didn't have to do anything but he booked us to stay here for two weeks. We got out the car and got our stuff out, heading into the entrance to book in.
"Hi Benny Watts please" He said.
He got our key and we headed up to our room. When we went inside my jaw almost dropped to the floor. It looked like something the queen would have! It was a really big room, with a double bed, a tv, a sofa, a mini table, a bathroom and huge windows. Everything looked so expensive.
"Benny!" I complained.
"Oh come on" he hugged me "can't I spoil you for once?"
"How did we afford this? We live in a tiny one bedroom flat in New York!"
"I saved up, it's only for two weeks so please, just at least try to enjoy yourself for me?"
"Ok" I sighed.
"Good girl" He kissed my forehead " now I'm starving, I think we should get something to eat"
We headed down to the restaurant and ordered something to eat. The food was really good, I had never been to somewhere like this before. I was a little annoyed with Benny for spoiling me so much, I didn't like getting so much money spent on me but I didn't want to upset him so I just went along with it. After we finished our meal, I excused myself to go to the toilet while Benny headed back to the hotel room. When I finished up, I went to the sink to wash ny hands when I bumped into someone. They dropped their bag in shock.
"Oh I'm sorry" I apologised.
She was a pretty girl, with light brown hair falling a little past her shoulders. A gorgeous crystal necklace hung from her neck as she bent down to grab her things.
"It's fine" She said " hey I saw you at the restaurant, with someone, your boyfriend?"
"Oh, uh yeah, he insisted to come here , it's a bit expensive for my liking"
"Me too, my names Aria" She said.
"Y/n, I have to go he'll be wondering where I am, it was nice meeting you though"
I headed back to our room and had a nice long shower to got myself ready for bed. When I went over to the bed I noticed something on the bedside table. It looked like an envelope. I picked it up and opened it, it was some sort of invitation.
The Escape room

You have been invited to join us at our escape room, a one time only, special offer.
Tommorow, 8:30 pm.
Use this invitation card for validation.

This was quite unusual, there was no mention of an escape room at the hotel. Actually, I'm pretty sure there isn't one. Unless the venue is somewhere else?
"Benny" I said " was this here before?"
He looked at it and shook his head.
"I've never seen that. They might have left it here when we were in the restaurant"
"It's kind of strange don't you think?"
He took the invitation, reading it.
"They have an escape room?"
"I don't think so"
"Maybe we should go" He chuckled.
"Absolutely not"
"Why not, might be fun"
"I don't like it, there is a weird vibe to it"
"You're just overthinking" He said " come on, come to bed and get some sleep"
I sighed and climbed into bed next to him. He wrapped his arms around me and drew circles on my skin, soothing me to sleep.
When my body woke, I felt a ice cold chill on my skin. My eyes snapped open to darkness, nothingness. Underneath me was no longer the soft, material of the mattress, but cold, hard concrete. My eyes darted in different directions, seeking any source of light, but there wasn't any,it was just black. I felt myself start to become panicked, where was I?
"Benny?" I called.
No answer.
I moved fowards but almost tripped over something, or someone. I instantly backed away. I wasn't alone here.
Picking up every little ounce of courage I had, I went back towards the body. It was too dark to see who they were, so I had to feel instead. I felt a short, lock of wavey hair. Around the persons neck was a chain, like a necklace, holding some sort of stone. Or crystal.
Was this a coincidence?
"Aria?" I asked.
Her shook her shoulders calling her name again. Then suddenly, she gasped and sat up on her own accord.
"What- what's going on!"
"Aria it's me" I said " we met in the toilets at the hotel room"
"Y/n?"
"Yeah"
"Where are we? What's going on?" She asked.
"I don't know, I woke up here a few minutes ago"
"I'm confused, I went to bed last night with Aimee, and woke up here?"
"So did I, me and Benny went to bed last night, it's weird"
"Hello?" A male voice said " who's there?"
"Hello?" I said.
"Where am I?"
"We don't know"
"What's happening?" Aria asked.
All of a sudden, lights turned on making my eyes scream. My eyelids fluttered for a few minutes adjusting to the light. There was eight people in the room, including myself and Aria. The room, well, it was almost empty. It was completely grey, concrete, with no windows, only two doors. One to the left of me and one and on the furthest corner of the wall to the left of me. The one right next to me had a red light above it.
On the opposite side of the room, were coffins. Eight of them. One directly infront of each of us. No of us moved, or said a word. We just sat in confusion.
"Hello contestants" a voice said.
We all flinched at the voice, searching for it's source, but there was no one else in the room. The voice sounded a but robotic and scratchy, like on the tv, it must have been coming from a speaker of some sort.
"You may be a little confused by your sudden arrival, but that's part of the game. You all received an invitation to the escape room, yesterday afternoon. There will be eight stages, eight different rooms to escape. Each round, one team will be eliminated until only one remains and wins. Your teams are the person you were with yesterday, I'm sure you all know who that person is. For the first round, your teammate is locked up in the coffin in front of you, you must release them and make it out before the time is up. Your time starts now"
The voice stopped, but no one moved.
"I never agreed to this" Aria said.
Just then, I felt a wetness beneath me. Water? Aria and the others noticed it too. The room was filling up with water. But there were no windows. If the room continued to fill with water, we'd drown.
"What the fuck!" Someone said " What the hell is happening!"
"I don't know, but we need to get out of here before the room fills or we'll all drown!" Someone else said.
"How the hell do we do that?" Aria asked.
"I guess, we have to play the game" I said.
"I don't want to play this sick arse game!" The man said.
"I don't think we have much of a choice" I said.
There was nothing any of us could do, but play the game. Escape the room. Everyone got the hint and started at the coffins. Benny was in there, I needed to get him out.
I ran up to the coffin quickly, pulling at the lock. It was a number combination. How the hell was I supposed to know what it is? Maybe, it was specific to each person? I thought of different numbers that were important to us both, trying them. I tried birthdays, home phone numbers, address but nothing worked. The room was filling up quickly, the water was already up to my chest, I was sitting down though. But I didn't have much time, I needed to get him out. The coffin was already submerged completely, I just hoped the water didn't get into the coffin or Benny wouldn't be able to breathe.
"Oh my god yes!" Aria yelled " Aimee are you ok?"
She pulled Aimee out of the coffin, but she seemed to be unconscious. The coffin immediately filled with water when she opened it which relived me. That ment Benny should be ok, that is until his air supply would run out.
Aria pulled Aimee towards the front door, holding her up so she could breathe. The little red light turned green and the door opened, water flooded out as Aria and Aimee left the room. However the door quickly shut and the water filled faster. It was up to my chest now when I stood up straight. A few other people managed to get their coffins open, taking their partners out of the room to what I hoped was safety. Some of them tried to escape with the others but it would only let people out who had their partners with them. Why would they want to leave their partners to suffocate? I couldn't leave Benny here, I would rather drown trying.
I struggled to get him out as the water rose higher. I had to take deep breaths , go under and try a combination then come back up for air. There was only two other people in the room with me. I started to panick a little, I needed to get him out! The water was up to my neck now. Think Y/n! Think! What number combination would they use for you? I almost gasped in realisation, there was one thing I hadn't tried, my room number at the hotel.
I entered the number combination and the lock clicked open.
"Yes!" I cried.
I flipped the coffin open to grab him and pull him out.
But it was empty.
"What?" I said in confusion " no! Where is he!"
"What the hell?" Another girl said next to me.
Her coffin was empty too.
But the others partners were in their coffins. Where was Benny? I felt tears creep down my cheeks. I wasn't giving up, I had to find him! I was now unable to stand in the water, I had to tread it to keep myself above the surface. He must be here somewhere. The other door. It had to lead somewhere. I went up to the door, pushing it open. As soon as I did, the water rushed through, flooding into the other room. The water pulled me into the other room, quickly filling it. There wasn't much air space now, in a few minutes, the whole room would be full and I would have no air to breathe. I needed to find Benny. I swam as quickly as I could, searching for him. That's when I spotted him, floating just above the surface,unconscious.
I swam over to him, grabbing a hold of him and shaking his limp body.
"Benny! Benny can you hear me!please say something!"
He didn't answer, and I didn't have time to wait for him to respond. I took one last big breath, before submerging myself completely. The room was full now, it was now or never. I swam the best I could, while pulling Benny along with me. I got to the first room I woke up in and saw two girls floating in the water unconscious. One of the them was the girl who's coffin was empty like mine. She must have found her partner, but was couldn't hold her breath any longer. I wanted to help them, but I didn't have the time. I pulled Benny over to the door, the red light flickered green and it swung open. We fell out onto the hard ground as the door shut behind us.
I crawled over to Benny's limp Body with what little strength I had left.
"Benny! Benny!"I cried " please breathe come on!"
I pressed down on his chest in attempt to perform CPR. He sat up coughing up water and chalking for air.
"Oh god" I sobbed hugging him tightly " I thought I lost you"
"What the bloody hell is going on?" He asked.
The rest of the contestants where huddling into eachother, most of which sobbing and shaking. There was eight to begin with, which means including their partners, there should have been sixteen. But I only counted fourteen. The two girls! They're still in there! They'll drown!
"Shit!" I cursed.
I ran back over to the door to go back inside but someone grabbed a hold of me from behind.
"Let me help them!" I fought " I can save them please!"
Then Everything went black.

Ok,ok. I know it seems a little weird and confusing, but would you guys like me to continue? I thought it would be quite exciting seeing the different rooms they have to escape and learning what the hell has actually happened to them. If you've seen the movie Escape room, it's basically going to be similar to that.let me know what you think.
