(Apologies for the long delay. I was just interested to see how well my continuation would go and I expected to be a slow progress. Nonetheless I'll slowly update earlier and earlier depending on how well each chapter does. Since I've already wrote a few chapters in advance, I'm ready to post whenever. With that said, enjoy the 2nd chapter!)
After the princess got down the stage, it was the signal for the end of the opening ceremony. All the students started heading towards their respective classes.
Misomi got up from her seat to make her way to her class. The note given also included the class she's in, as well as the direction. Everything was clearly written and detailed, making it easy for Misomi to understand.
Along the way, she saw many students. Not only that, the scenery and buildings were very beautiful.
Misomi continued walking on the sheltered path admiring the nice view. When suddenly,
"Ouch!" <Misomi>
She bump into someone.
While admiring the view, Misomi wasn't looking where she was walking. Because of that, she accidentally collided with someone.
The person that Misomi bumped into, turned around with an annoyed face.
"Hey, could you watch out where you're going?" <???>
A girl with short green hair was glaring at Misomi.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't looking at where I was going..." <Misomi>
Misomi instantly apologised.
"Tch! What's your name?" <???>
With a displeased tone, the girl asked for Misomi's name.
"My name is Misomi." <Misomi>
"Misomi? That's it? What about your family name?" <???>
"Family name?" <Misomi>
Misomi was confused as to what she meant. Truthfully, her name is just Misomi. Compared to nobles, Misomi doesn't have any other name attached to her.
"Yeah, a family name. Don't you have one?" <???>
"No..." <Misomi>
"You don't? What the hell...? How could you not- Ah! Then, you're a commoner?" <???>
When she heard that, she got a bit annoyed. She knows that she's a commoner, but to be told that with such a disgusted look, made her feel hurt.
"Yes-" <Misomi>
"Hah! What the heck? How did you even get into this academy anyway? You don't look strong or special at all." <???>
"I-" <Misomi>
"No, don't answer that. I don't want to know. It probably must be some disgusting or illicit way. No way a commoner can easily get into this academy!" <???>
The girl kept ranting about her own assumptions, without knowing Misomi's circumstance. Hearing what she just said made her angry.
"That's wrong! I properly got invited into this academy!" <Misomi>
Misomi burst out at her in anger.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." <???>
"It's true!" <Misomi>
"I'm done here. If I continue listening to your lies, I'm gonna be late for my first class." <???>
The girl ignored Misomi, turned around and walked off.
Misomi stared furiously at the girl as she walked away.
Misomi thought to herself, what a terrible person she was. She had thought that her hatred for nobles had lessen, after meeting the princess and Eric in a way, but after being confronted by that girl, her hatred for them might have returned.
Misomi decided to take a breather before continuing her way to her class.

Meanwhile, Shin and his wives are on their way to the examination room. The place wasn't too far from where they were from, so they didn't have to walk far.
"Fuck, why do we have to take an exam? This reminds me of when I last took it for my college entrance exam. I hate it." <Shin>
Shin was complaining about having to do the exam after remembering his experience back on earth.
"They said that since we got transferred directly into the 4th year, they need to ascertain our knowledge & power so as to assign us to the right class." <Layla>
Layla explained.
"Urgh~ I'll tell you this beforehand, I'm not great with exams. If anything, this is my arch nemesis." <Shin>
"I think Shin-Sama should be okay. I don't think it would be that hard." <Iris>
Iris said that, but Shin still wasn't convinced.
After a short walk, they finally reached the examination room.
"You four must be the people that Queen Fiora recommended?" <???>
When they entered the room, they were greeted by someone.
"Yes, correct." <Shin>
Shin answered for the group.
"My name is Linda Furray, and I'm the principal of Ascension Magic Academy." <Linda>
The lady with long white hair introduced herself.
Shin then introduced himself along with his other wives.
"The Queen had roughly explained to me about each of you. She also mentioned to treat the head of the group, which must be the young man over there-" <Linda>
She pointed at Shin.
"-kindly. But at the same time act as per normal according to the school's standard." <Linda>
"Well, do whatever you like to be honest." <Shin>
"Alright, I'll do my best. Since it's from the Queen, I will assume you lot are special in one way or another. So I'll be looking forward to whatever may happen in the academy." <Linda>
Shin just shrugged at those words
"With that said, you all will be starting with the designation exams." <Linda>
They were then assigned to a table and were given 3 exam papers.
"I've given you 3 different exam papers based on the fundamentals of magic. You have 3 hours to complete all of them. This exam will determine your understanding of magic. Do take note that your score will determine which classes you will be assigned to. Without wasting anymore time, your examination starts now." <Linda>
At the signal, they all began flipping their papers.

It took awhile, but Misomi finally reached her class.
When she entered, she saw that most of the students had already arrived. The empty seats remaining could be counted on one hand.
Misomi made her way to one of the remaining empty seat that was at the back. While walking there, suddenly someone shouted.
"It's you again!" <???>
When she heard it, she turned to the direction of where that shout was coming from, and to her surprise, she saw the girl that she bumped into earlier.
"What are you doing here!?" <???>
The girl shouted once more. She then quickly walked towards Misomi with a displeased look.
"This is my class, so of course I would be here." <Misomi>
"Your class? Hah! Don't joke with me! This is class 1, so how could a commoner be in this class, huh?" <???>
"What does that mean? I've been assigned to this class, that's it. What does being a commoner got to do with being in this class?" <Misomi>
Misomi was starting to get annoyed talking to this girl.
"Well then, let me tell you this! Class 1 is only for the higher class noble! And since I'm the daughter of a duke, being assigned to this class for me was a guarantee! But now that I know I'm going to be in the same class as you, I feel disgusted!" <???>
"Hey! Stop discriminating! That's rude!" <Misomi>
"You're being rude!" <???>
The girl had enough of talking to Misomi. As if done with her, she began raising her hand. She was about to slap her, before someone stopped her.
"Enough!" <???>
The two of them turned to look at who said that. To both of their surprise, it was the princess.
"What do you think you're doing, Beatrice?" <Aleytia>
Aleytia who just reached her class, was met with a dispute. And seeing that Misomi was involved, she had to step in immediately.
"Princess!?" <Beatrice>
"Aleytia-Sama!" <Misomi>
Both called out to her. Though one was from happiness, while the other was shock.
"What's the matter here?" <Aleytia>
Stepping in between Misomi and Beatrice, Aleytia confronted Beatrice.
"Princess, this is something that you shouldn't concern yourself with. I'm trying to tell this commoner here that she made a mistake, and that she shouldn't be in this class." <Beatrice>
"Made a mistake? Then, you're referring to me?" <Aleytia>
"Referring to you, Princess? I would never!" <Beatrice>
Beatrice had no idea what the Princess meant when she said that, but either way, she had to deny.
"Yes you did, since I'm the one who put Misomi in this class." <Aleytia>
Both the girls were once again surprised at what the princess said.
"Aleytia-Sama put me inside this class? But why?" <Misomi>
"Of course its so that I can be together with my best friend!" <Aleytia>
Aleytia happily said it while giving a hug to Misomi.
Misomi had a bright smile, but it quickly turned to a questionable face.
"But she said that this class is for high class noble. But since I'm a commoner..." <Misomi>
When Aleytia heard that, she was a bit troubled.
It was true that Class 1 was for high ranking nobles, and spread across to class 5 which are mainly the commoners.
This was so that, the commoners won't be instantly prejudiced by the nobles the moment they enter the academy. So by giving them 2 years to get accustomed to the academy, as well as with other students, they could build their own reputation and get comfortable with how the nobles act towards them.
However, this was only applicable to year 1 & 2. Since from year 3 onwards, class designations will be determined by knowledge through an exam, as well as your powers, skills & abilities.
Knowing how the school system initially supposed to work, Aleytia too was troubled at what she had done. She then separated from Misomi and then told her off.
"That doesn't matter! You're my best friend, so you have to be in my class! Why? You don't want to?" <Aleytia>
Aleytia knew this was abuse of power, but this was her first time being free, away from the castle. And she want to enjoy such moments with her new bestfried.
"That's not it! I'm really happy to be with Aleytia-Sama! It's just that..." <Misomi>
Misomi eyes slowly shifted to Beatrice. Seeing that, Aleytia seem to understand what she's trying to say.
Aleytia turned to confront Beatrice once more. But Beatrice was the one to argue back first.
After hearing the casual talk between the princess and the commoner, and even the part where the princess called her 'bestfriend'. She was lost for words.
"Why is Princess being so casual with a commoner!? Princess shouldn't-" <Beatrice>
"Beatrice Kharesma." <Aleytia>
Hearing the Princess calling out her full name made Beatrice shut her mouth.
"You should really stop discriminating against commoners. They may have different social ranks, but they are still humans just like us. Fully outcasting them isn't proper. Honestly, you're just like your brother." <Aleytia>
The moment when she heard her brother being mentioned, Beatrice was angered even more.
"Argh! Whatever! I'm done talking!" <Beatrice>
Done with arguing, Beatrice left. She went back to her seat, which was located at the other side of the class.
Aleytia and Misomi both stared at Beatrice who walked off defeatedly.
"Seriously, why are there still people who are discriminating against commoners? Mother was a commoner, now that she became the queen, people should have a different view already. Well whatever! Anyways!" <Aleytia>
Aleytia turned once more to look at Misomi.
"Misomi, let's go sit there together!" <Aleytia>
Aleytia pointed at the table with two empty seats.
"Okay..." <Misomi>
Misomi agreed, and they took the two seats.
Not long after, the class teacher came. The class began, and everyone listened attentively as the teacher explained what they will be doing for the next 5 calenders of their academy life.
