Hello everybody, I am very sorry I missed last weeks update, I was very sick and I spent most of my time this week staring at the ceiling waiting for the room to stop spinning. Looking at computer screens made me feel even sicker, so I'm sorry I missed last week. But I am back and feeling MUCH better now.

Hisoka
Illumi turned to face Hisoka, seemingly totally unbothered by Kinta who looked like she was ready to rip the assassin's throat out with her teeth. Then again, Hisoka was just as angry.
"I'm not playing with your toy Hisoka." Illumi sighed and brushed a hair away from his face. "I'm just borrowing it."
"She is not your broodmare~" Hisoka ground his molars together, trying to keep his cool despite the bloodlust oozing out of him.
"There has to be something else Illumi, another way for me to repay you." Kinta flexed her fingers at her side, she was obviously trying to keep her cool as well. Making an enemy of Illumi could be quite problematic, they both recognized that.
"You shared your toy once before Hisoka." The assassin ignored Kinta as he spoke. "Is this really all that different from last time? Your pet certainly seemed to enjoy it."
Hisoka lunged, closing the distance between him and the assassin in a blink of an eye. Of course Illumi was just as fast, he moved to block Hisoka's punch to his stomach without missing a beat. But the magician grabbed his arm, yanking downwards as he drew Illumi in for a sharp upper-cut to his jaw. The hit caused him to stumble back a step before he spun, aiming a kick at Hisoka's head. He ducked just as Illumi swung downwards with his fist, but the magician simply caught the assassin fist in his hand. Completely stopping his momentum.
"Now I know you're not this weak~" Hisoka sighed bordly and he slowly stood, veins popping out on both of their arms as he held the assassins fist away from his face. "Why are you holding back~?"
A faint smile tugged the corners of Illumi's lips. "Who said I'm holding back?"
The magician blinked before releasing Illumi's hand and leaping away just as Kinta's scythe crashed down between them, leaving a deep score in the ground right where he'd been standing.
"Kinta~?" His eyes went wide as he looked at his pet, she stood stiffly not far from Illumi, her movements short and choppy- nothing like her usual self. Hisoka's stomach knotted when he spotted the golden needle sticking out of the back of her head.
Illumi hadn't just been trying to kick Hisoka in the head, it'd been a distraction so that he could stick Kinta with one of his needles and take control of her. He'd sent the needle out as he spun, effectively distracting both of them. Rage reignited the magician's bloodlust, Kinta was strong but if they didn't remove the needle soon she could end up paralized or dead. The only way she'd continue to live is with Illumi's control.
"I expected her to put up more of a fight honestly." Illumi sighed as he moved to Kinta's side, cocking his head at her as she stood stalk still, her emerald eyes staring blankly ahead. "But she was too distracted trying to watch out for you that she didn't notice my needle until it was too late." He reached out, slipping his fingers under her chin to tilt her head back. The reaper's blood boiled as he watched the assassins lips graze her jaw, his dark eyes watching the magician. "She's mine now."
"We'll see about that~" Hisoka muttered before a handful of cards appeared between his fingers, launching them at Illumi.
The assassin simply sent his pins out, catching each card in the air and pinning them to the surrounding tree's. No matter, the magician had intended on the cards acting as a distraction, but as he lunged, it was Kinta that moved to attack instead of Illumi. Hisoka hesitated as Kinta came at him, stepping between him and Illumi as she swung her scythe upwards. The magician blocked the hit with his bracelets, but it was still powerful enough to knock his arms back- forcing him to leap back before Kinta could land her follow up attack with her claws. She pursued him, aiming another swipe at his side with her scythe. Hisoka leapt, his feet missing the scythe with only a few inches to spare, he sent his cards towards her, hoping to deal a little non-lethal damage to slow her down. Of course he didn't want to kill Kinta, he needed to handle her puppet master, but in order to do that he'd need to slow her down first.
But Kinta simply cut one of the cards out of the air with a swipe of her wrist and caught the other with the opposite hand, sending them flying back at the magician's head before lunging forward. Hisoka twisted his head, narrowly avoiding his own card with only a thin cut along his cheek as Kinta closed the distance. He brought his arm up to block her high-punch but she suddenly changed stance and landed a ko-powered punch to his stomach. Causing the magician to double over just before she landed another ko-powered hit to the underside of his chin. He ground his teeth as he stumbled back a step, using the backwards momentum to his advantage as he flipped backwards and landed a kick to the underside of her jaw- sending Kinta reeling backwards.
As soon as Hisoka had his feet under him again he flicked his wrist at her cheek, connecting his bungee gum to her face. Change of plans, Kinta wasn't going to let him near Illumi, but if he could get close enough he may be able to remove the needle. He pulled her into him with a tug on his bungee gum before she could regain her footing, sending her flying towards him. Hisoka had the intention of catching her, trapping her against him long enough to get a hold of the needle. But Kinta had her claws at the ready, if he pulled her into him she'd kill him, so he had no other choice than to use the same trick he used with Gon and land a punch to her cheek so hard that she bounced off the ground. But this didn't deter her long, she rolled and sunk her claws into the ground to stop her momentum before lunging at Hisoka again. The was the issue with manipulators puppets, they usually did not register pain. They became mindless toys hell-bent on completing the task given to them. Hisoka wasn't going to be able to slow her down.
Just as he dodged another punch to his face, he twisted his head just in time to avoid a small golden needle. His eyes going wide as he spared a glance at the assassin as he readied his needles again.
"You could be a useful puppet as well." Illumi cocked his head as he watched the two fight.
So that was his plan, use Kinta to attack as he stayed at a distance and attempted to implant a needle into Hisoka's head.
"How troublesome~" Hisoka growled, alternating between blocking and dodging Kinta's hits, she was almost as fast as he was, but he was able to manipulate her movements slightly with his bungee gum.
Illumi must not know that she'd be able to cut his ability, that's good. The magician could use that to his advantage. He ducked just in time to avoid another set of needles before bringing his arm down to redirect Kinta's low punch, pushing her arm away from him and causing her to stumble forwards. She moved past him as she tried to regain her footing, Hisoka reached out, his fingers brushing the needle at the back of her head before she twisted and landed a ko-powered punch to his cheek, sending him reeling backwards before he could pull it out.
A frustrated growl escaped his lips as he blocked her next attack, using his bracelets to block her scythe just as one of them broke off. He still wore two on his left wrist and three on his right, but they were wearing out quickly. All of them except Kinta's bracelet on his left wrist, which looked like it hadn't taken a single hit. Her aura must be protecting it still.
He didn't have time to ponder the thought much, Kinta suddenly dropped her stance and swung her leg out, aiming to sweep his knee. He was too slow to evade the attack as he fell to his back, rolling just in time to avoid another swing from her scythe. Dirt sprayed in the air as Hisoka disconnected the bungee gum attaching his finger to her cheek and sent his end towards a nearby tree, sending her flying face-first for the tree while he lunged for Illumi.
The assassins eyebrows shot up momentarily in surprise before he moved to avoid Hisoka's barrage of cards, sending his needles out to redirect some while dodging others.Hisoka took a page out of Kinta's book, going for a low hit to get Illumi to lower his stance only to change direction and swing upwards at the last moment. The assassin slid back with the force of the hit and the magician pursued him, aiming to stab him in his exposed stomach with a card, before Illumi flipped backwards and narrowly missed kicking Hisoka in the jaw. He got his feet under him but just before he could lunge for Hisoka again, the cards he'd dodged and redirected earlier came flying back at him, the trickster had used his bungee gum to send them back the moment Illumi moved into range. He was forced to retreat backward and before Hisoka could pursue him, he felt Kinta's presence at his side, leaping backwards just in time to avoid her claws across his face. Illumi had figured out how to use Kinta's ability to cut his bungee gum, not good.
She pursued him, dropping low to swing her leg out, he leapt to avoid her attack just as a set of needles came flying at his face. Hisoka sacrificed his arm to take the needles before swinging his leg down for a high kick over Kinta. She put her arms up to block his hit, managing to grab his leg and sink her claws into his ankle. A second kick to her jaw forced her to let go before he landed, but Kinta surprised him by charging in for a ko-powered punch to his face just before his feet hit the ground, knocking the magician to his back as Kinta swung upwards to bring her scythe down over him.
Hisoka put his arm up to block with his bracelet, but a sharp pain in the middle of his hand pulled the limb backwards and pinned it to the ground. One of Illumi's needles. He had no way of blocking her attack, the magician looked up just as Kinta came down over the top of him, would this be how he died?
"No!" A scream rang through the air as her Scythe stopped just as it brushed his neck, a thin line of hot blood trickling down Hisoka's neck as he looked up at his lover.
