"Can we really have these!?" A female staff member gasped in shock.
Jekyll smiles at her, "of course. I cannot just be on the receiving end. This is just a small token of my gratitude. Please accept it. Master and the rest of us Servants are able to fight all thanks to your hard work and support."
"Thank you very much! Everyone will be pleased!" She smiles and ran off. Witnessing this I walk up to him.
"Jekyll, what did you give them?" I asked.
"Ah, Master. Happy Valentine's Day... is that correct? Just some gifts for the people who've done so much for me. Admittedly, it's not much... I also received chocolates from those girls. Isn't that wonderful? Oh, my. Perhaps I should have prepared Valentine's cards. I should have included some words of appreciation with my gifts.
They were special gifts to those dear to me, after all."
Hearing this a teasing grin grew on my face, "is there someone on the staff who you have special feelings for?"
He chuckles, "of course not! There is only one person who is special to me in a place like this. That would be you, Master. The mage who holds our contract, even when I am on the verge of breakdown."
The grin fell from my face and I felt a blush coming on. Jekyll looks away sadly and stares back at me.
"I am extremely unstable. I'm sure I'm quite a handful... but despite that, you keep me as your Servant. Thank you. I am truly grateful to you. You have given me a second chance.
You have given me the greatest opportunity to fight the other self within me. As long as you fight for good and right, I... and the other me can manage to get by. I'm sorry for rambling about such bizarre things. Oh yes. I almost forgot to give this to you." He hands me his gift which is warm rice balls.
"Did you make these yourself, Jekyll." I ask him.
"Yes, they're rice balls. Miss. Kiyohime and Mr. Emiya taught me how to make them. I hope they turned out well. To be honest, I'm not too confident about the finished product. I hope you find them delicious.
If not... well, in that case..... I will show you my gratitude in a different way." Jekyll passionately said, blushing.
Valentine's Day return gift from Dr. Jekyll. Handmade rice balls stacked on a dish. Hot tea just poured from a thermos. Where you will eat these is up to you. You can eat them in your room, or go to the cafeteria.
It might be nice to go out on a picnic, too.
