Forming a plan takes communication. To communicate, you have to talk to people..even if you aren't very close to them. Today that was Jungkook's plan..he and his father weren't very close..Jungkook was always overworked by his father. Some might say it was just him trying to prepare Jungkook for the busy tasks he had to face in the future, but to him it was unnecessary. Not that it mattered now, he would work those things out later. It was early in the morning, not as early as he would have gotten up, but he wanted to make sure Taehyung was alright before he left. After leaving a note on the table, he went outside to meet Namjoon and Yoongi. Yoongi: "Hey." "Hey hyung..how's it going?" Yoongi: "Everything's good..how about you and Taehyung?" Namjoon: "Yeah, how're you guys doing?" "We're fine.." Namjoon: "You don't seem like it..did you tell him about what's going on?" "Yeah, I did..he wants to know more but he understands I just need to figure this all out first.." They walked down the sidewalk, even though they all have cars, they weren't really needed for the event planned. Yoongi: "What exactly is going on? What do they want with him?" Namjoon: "It's not everyday someone finds a male Omega..if someone does and wants them for the wrong reasons, they'll find ways to get him.. unfortunately, that's what we're dealing with right now." Jungkook nods, "Taehyung and I..we still haven't completed our mating process though." Yoongi: "How come?" Jungkook: "I don't know..I don't think he understands it yet.." Namjoon: "You guys don't have to rush into it, and I'm not saying anything's gonna happen to him..but if something ever did to where you guys got hurt or seperated..you'd be able to tell and help each other a lot faster than being un-mated." Jungkook: "I know, I'm trying, I've told him that. I just want to get this pack to back off.." Yoongi: "Speaking of that..I know no one wants to talk about it, but what about your dad? Until you become the head Alpha, he's the one in control of the stronger wolves..the guards and everything. We have to be prepared if a fight were to break out.." Jungkook: "I know, and I'll have to talk to him..but right now, there are things we can do without him. With that being said, stay sharp, okay?" Namjoon and Yoongi nodded, the three of them transformed into their wolf forms before running off towards their location.

Taehyung's hand felt the space beside him on the bed, only to feel it empty and now cold. He whined and sat up, he went to wash his face and brush his teeth, his dirty blonde hair was a fluffy mess on his head. He went downstairs, "Jungkook?" He checked the living room, then went to the kitchen, he spotted the note on the table and picked it up, 'Good morning pup, I hope you slept well. I had to take a quick walk with Yoongi and Namjoon. I should be back soon, I made you food so please make sure you eat, I love you.' He smiled at the small hand-drawn heart next to the words I love you, he folded the note and took the bowl of oatmeal and plate of strawberry jam spread toast and went back upstairs. He sat on the bed and sighed, he was thinking about playing games, but instead decided to call Jimin..he never got any details about how his and Yoongi's 'hangout' went the other day. Lucky for him, Jimin picked up on the third ring. Jimin: "Hi Tae!" "Hi Jimin..how are you?" He asked before taking a bite of his toast, Jimin: "I'm good, how are you? Any plans this morning?" "Only to interrogate you." He giggled, Jimin: "Hey! What did I do?" "Calm down~ i'm only joking..well, kind of. You know, you never gave me any details about what you and Yoongi did when you guys went to hangout the other day. Remember that?" I smile, Jimin: "I don't know what you're talking about. Have you eaten today, Tae? Maybe you're too tired to-" "Jimin! Stop it, I'm fine and you know exactly what I'm talking about, don't try to get out of it." He whined and then let out a sigh, Jimin: "Fine.." "Yay! Okay, so what happened?" Jimin: "I mean, nothing really..I had fun. We talked a lot. I think he may like talking to me more, he's a really nice guy.." "Aww, Jimin, that's so cute. See? Of course he likes talking to you, you're so funny and kind, and you're cute. Just like Jungkook said, if he likes someone he'll talk to them. He was basically talking about you." Jimin giggled, "Thanks Tae, really. I hope that's right and we could hangout more, but enough about that, how are you this morning?" "I'm okay, Jungkook's not here right now so I can't do much." Jimin: "How come?" "He has nothing to do but watch TV. Talking to you makes me feel better though, so it's okay." Jimin laughs, "Thanks Tae. But how come he's not there?" "He said he needed to take a walk with Yoongi and Namjoon." Jimin: "No wonder Yoongi hasn't texted me back..wait-" "Ohmygod! You guys are texting?!" Taehyung squealed, Jimin: "I shouldn't have said that." He whined jokingly, "How cute~" Taehyung looked up at the sound of the door, "I'm here, Taehyung!" He heard from downstairs, "Oh, Jimin, Jungkook is back, can I call you tonight? Maybe we can hangout." Jimin: "Sure, Tae. Have fun!" "You too, bye!" He hung up and set his plate and bowl on the stand near the bed and got up. Jungkook was just entering the bedroom, "Hi Kookie, I missed you." He hugged him, Jungkook: " I missed you too but how come you didn't answer my texts? I was really hoping you were still sleep." "Why don't you want me to be up?" He looked up and pouted, still in Jungkook's embrace. Jungkook: "I do want you to be up and I'm glad you are but if you were sleep then that means you wouldn't see my text, you didn't respond so I thought something may have happened to you." He played in Taehyung's hair, "No, no, I'm okay, I was fine the whole time. I'm sorry, I was talking with Jimin.." Jungkook: "It's okay, Tae, you don't have to be sorry. I just needed to make sure." He went to sit on the bed, Jungkook: "I see you ate, was it good?" "It was perfect, thank you." Jungkook sighed and layed down, Jungkook: "Come here." Taehyung layed down next to him and was immediately cuddled against Jungkook. Taehyung sniffed the scent of his Alpha and felt safe. More secure than he realized from being alone. Jungkook wraped his arm protectively around Tae's waist and felt more comfortable than a few seconds ago, Jungkook: "Taehyung?" "Hm?" Was all Jungkook got as Tae kept his face against Jungkook's neck, Jungkook chuckled and moved over so he could see Tae's face. Taehyung met his gaze, revealing those warm big brown eyes. Jungkook smiled and kissed Tae's nose, then his forehead. Taehyung giggled, a small growl was let out from his laugh, but Jungkook just found it all too cute. Jungkook: "Are you still tired?" "Kind of, not too bad though..why?" Jungkook: "I wanted to see if you wanted to go out. I need a few things and I want you to come with me." "Yes, yes let's go!" Taehyung got up and Jungkook smiled, getting up and going to his closet. "Hey, Jungkook..I need to ask you something?" Jungkook gave Tae one of his black hoodies, Jungkook: "Okay..what is it?" He asked and took off his shirt to put on a black one and a black coat, staying in his jeans from when he left. He was fixing the collar of his coat while looking at Tae, Taehyung almost blushed but sighed as he remembered his question, "Can you tell me why you went out?" Jungkook: "I had to talk with Namjoon and Yoongi, we just took a walk around for a while. Here." He gave him black sweatpants that would fit, Taehyung pulled the hoodie over his head. Jungkook: "What's wrong, Tae?" "You guys went to where that wolf is..didn't you?" Jungkook looked at him from putting on his shoes, Jungkook: "No, I-" "Why are you lying to me? When you came back, I could smell you. Your scent was mixed with other wolves and I had a bad feeling when I smelled that.." Jungkook sat next to Tae, "Look, I'm sorry, okay? I just..we need to keep ypu safe, and if I told you, I'd only have to explain more to you, and I'm just not ready for that. I'm sorry." Taehyung nodded, "I just don't want you to get hurt.." It was small, and barely audible, but Jungkook heard it. The small sniff come from Taehyung. That meant he was crying. Jungkook immedietly got on his knees to see the younger's face. He wiped away his tears with his thumb and kissed Tae's cheek. "Hey, look at me." Taehyung looked at him, Jungkook: "I'm not gonna get hurt, okay? I promise you that. I'm just working on a few things to make sure we have enough of what we need to keep you safe. There's no issues at all, okay? I'm sorry I made you nervous, I love you." He hugged him and Tae hugged back tightly. "Thank you." He said quietly, Jungkook: "Of course, pup." Taehyung smiled, Jungkook held Taehyung's hands and looked at him, Jungkook: "Do you still wanna go out or you want to stay here for a bit longer?" Taehyung: "I'm okay now, let's go out."

Taehyung and Jungkook got some food before going to anywhere else Jungkook suggested, most of the things were for work, so Taehyung wanted to have fun first. They were waiting for their Panda Express order, Jungkook was leaning against the wall by the tables while his mate was just talking about the most random things, he found the younger's acts adorable knowing he was happy about getting one of his favorite foods. Taehyung gasped and Jungkook looked at him, he was busy observing people. Not because he felt unsafe or watched, it was just natural for him to be and stay aware. He relaxed when he saw his Omega's smile, "What is it?" he asked, Taehyung: "I want to do something.." He looked back down at his phone and smiled, Jungkook tried to look but Taehyung backed away, "It's a surprise, but you have to take me there. Please?" Jungkook groaned, not being able to look away from Taehyung's puppy eyes, "Okay, okay. I'll take you, after this?" Taehyung nodded, Jungkook: "Alright, if it makes you happy." Taehyung: "Yay! Thank you~" Jungkook: "Tae-" Taehyung bumped into a man that was walking by, he turned and looked at him, Taehyung bowed immedietly, "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking." The waiter brought Jungkook the order, he thanked him and went to Taehyung, he caught the smirk on the guy's face, just from that, he knew the man knew Taehyung was an Omega. "You're alright." The man caressed Taehyung's arm, Jungkook: "Get off of him!" Taehyung stepped back, Jungkook pulled him back by his waist and the man only laughed, "If you don't want others to get him, then train him better. I know I would." Jungkook" You-" Jungkook's hands became fists, he stpped forward only for Taehyung to pull Jungkook's wrist, "Stop, stop, please don't. Let's just go." The man left with no harm done, at least not yet. He was lucky Taehyung was there quick enough to calm Jungkook down, or else he may have completely lost his temper. Taehyung pulled Jungkook outside, and they went towards the car. Jungkook kept glaring in the direction the man left, his eyes red, Taehyung put the food in the back of the car and made his way to Jungkook. "Kookie, he's gone now, it's okay now." Jungkook's body relaxed when he heard Tae's voice. He hugged Taehyung tightly, Jungkook: "He didn't hurt you, right? You're okay? I'm so sorry, Tae, the things he said- I should have-" "Jungkook, stop, I'm fine. It's okay, I promise. You have to calm down." Jungkook put his head on Taehyung's neck, sniffing his scent. Taehyung hugged him, he smiled when Jungkook looked at him. Jungkook held Tae's cheek gently, "I love you, Taehyung." Taehyung's eyes turned a light blue and he smiled, " I love you too, Kookie." They got in the car, Taehyung finally opening up the food and giving Jungkook a bite. Jungkook: "Okay, wanna go to that surprise place of yours now?" Taehyung: "Yes, please!" Jungkook chuckled and they ate on the way. Taehyung didn't really think about the fight in the resturant. He was just worried about what could happen in the future, rather it be him or Jungkook or any other wolf pack. He knows Jungkook told him to not worry, that they were figuring things out to keep themselves safe, so he tried not to. Sometimes, the most positive and strongest people have the most worries with them. He cleaned up the food and held Jungkook's hand while he drove with the other until they reached their destination.

Sorry I took so long to update, wifi issues at home. Anyways, happy new year, hope you all had a Merry Christmas if you celebrate it and hoping Taehyung had a happy birthday! I'm excited for the next chapter. 💞
