"So you're telling me that both Fujin and Raiden, who are gods, are struggling to make a bed frame?" Hanzo laughs.
"Right? I almost lost it when I saw them struggling. I offered to help, but they politely turned me down." Kuai shrugs. It's still nighttime, but neither man can sleep.

"Hey," Kuai begins. "Do you ever....feel kind of bad for the kid? I mean, I understand that (s)he was raised isolated...."
"But you still feel bad," Hanzo fills in. "I understand that. The childlike innocence of (Y/n) reminds me a lot of Satoshi."
"(S)he is a good kid," Kuai nods.

"I think we should check on them all," Hanzo states suddenly. Kuai looks confused. "In the middle of the night? Why?"
Hanzo shrugs. "Something...doesn't feel right. We can just check quickly."
"All right," Kuai murmurs. "Let's go."

They both arrive at the Sky Temple soon after.
The entire structure is dark and cold.
"Something doesn't feel right," Kuai whispers, looking at the dark hallway stretching in front of them like the gaping jaw of a beast.

Hanzo nods. "Where is Raiden?" Hasashi murmurs.
"I'm in here," Raiden whispers.
Both men nearly jump out of their skin. "Why are you in the Jinsei Chamber?" Hanzo whispers harshly.
"Fujin locked me in here. Hurry and find (Y/n). Get (him/her) out of here as soon as possible. Fujin isn't acting right at all."

"What?" Kuai sounds breathless.
"The Jinsei has been corrupted. Fujin must have fallen in or something. I don't know. Just keep (Y/n) safe." Raiden pleads.
"I—we'll try...." Hanzo stammers.
Both men try to push the door open, but to no avail.
"Don't bother with me. Just find (Y/n). But make sure that Fujin doesn't see you."

"C'mon, we need to find (Y/n)," Hanzo motions to keep walking. They both keep walking down the hall, mainly hiding in the shadows. They soon find Fujin's room. The door is open. Kuai goes in first once the coast is clear.

Kuai sighs in relief when he sees you asleep.
He picks you up gently, trying not to wake you.
"Okay, let's go...."
All three of you go back into the shadows.

Fujin suddenly screaming in anger at finding you missing wakes you up abruptly.
"Shh...! Shh...." Kuai shushes you hastily, both men feeling glued in place in the shadows.
You cling to Kuai Liang, never hearing Fujin that mad before.

You all see Fujin rushing down the hall, looking around frantically. His hair had gotten darker, as dark as a starless sky. The tattoo on his shoulder is blood red, matching his eyes.
You're surprised to see him panicking. He genuinely looks frightened.
"He's...crying...." Kuai's voice is barely above a whisper. Sub-Zero is right, his red eyes are filled with tears. You all watch him rush down the hallway, a gust of wind nearly making you all fall over as he uses his powers to go faster.

"We need to leave," Hanzo sounds panicked. "We've seen how fast Fujin is on his feet."
"And he can walk in the air," Kuai whispers, holding you close. The hallways twist and turn as both men run, praying they don't run into the emotional Wind God.

Eventually, you all make it out to the courtyard outside. The wind howls fiercely to match Fujin's grief. Fujin yelling in pain and anger makes them panic. "Hide," Kuai says to you, setting you down and motions to a small crawl space under the temple patio that'll only fit you.

You nod and crawl under, the shadows hiding you easily. You shiver slightly at the cold.
Fujin storms out, his black hair a tangled mess, the long ends whiplashing wildly.
You have never seen him this mad before.
"Where is (Y/n)? Where is my child?!"
Both men stand their ground.

"Somewhere safe," Kuai states.
"(S)he is safe with me."
"Not with how you are now!" Hanzo yells.
Fujin is about to attack them when you rush out and stand between them.
"Don't, Papa...."
He looks surprised, stopping his attack.

"(Y/n)!" Kuai yells.
"What are you doing?!" Hanzo gasps.
"Let them go free. And Uncle Raiden. You can keep me here. Just let them go, Papa, please. I know you are sick, Papa. I can make you feel better. We can go fly kites and make cookies. I wanna help you."
Fujin looks conflicted, the corruption and his normal side fighting for control.

"I'll release Raiden, and let them go. But promise you won't leave." Fujin murmurs as the wind dies down.
"(Y/n), just go!" Kuai pleads.
"Don't worry about us." Hanzo begs.
"I promise," You say almost immediately, not fully realizing what you're sacrificing.
Fujin nods, his face expressionless. "Get Raiden and leave," he growls.
