Je T'aime Toujours (France x Child! Adopted Daughter! Reader)

So, I recently have been obsessed with this song and I wanted to write a oneshot. This is what my 9:43pm brain came up with... Also, you're about 6-7 in this.

"You were just a mistake! Get out of the house!" They were the last words my real parents said to me before I ran away from home.

Even though I now had a father who truly cared for me, I still had many nightmares about my biological parents. Every time, the same thing happened:

I woke up from another nightmare. I squeaked and ran out of my room, towards my father's. I snuck in and hopped up onto his bed, snuggling into him. I thought I'd succeeded in not waking him up, however, I was soon proven wrong, "Chérie? What's wrong?"

"I-I had another nightmare," I squeaked out, snuggling into him more and wiping my tears.

"Chérie, it's okay. There's no need to worry, I'll never do that to you."

"Do you bel-Chérie?" he stopped mid-sentence as I'd fallen asleep halfway through him singing to me.

"Don't worry, Chérie. Je t'aime, toujours."

"I love you too, Papa."
