Charlus sighed as climbed right next to her, their bodies were mere inches apart. Grace was so hot blooded that he literally felt warm just by sitting next to her. Or maybe it was the testosterone and adrenaline his body was pumping.

"He's found it," she clenched her fist, "that little... he's found it."

"The unown?"

She nodded, "We're leaving in five minutes Charlus, if it falls into his hand before we... I can't let that happen."

Charlus skidded closer to her, he put his arm around her neck and sighed. There was silence in the room for quite some time, the two of them lay there peacefully until Grace broke the silence by saying:

"What the hell are you doing?"

Charlus smiled, "Hugging you."

"I know what are you doing, I'm asking why?"

He bit his lip. I like being closer to you, he wanted to say but he'd knew have enough guts to confess his love to Grace Van Black. For now, Wishful thinking was enough.

"Dunno, you seem sad."

"Of course I am," she said grumpily, "he's... he's my nephew and that son of a bitch father of him has..."

"Maybe he's still good."

She shook her head, "If he was, he wouldn't be here, again."

Charlus didn't answer. Grace touched his arm in support and gave it a little squeeze. It was nice to have some human contact, she thought.

They'd left the hotel at one in the morning to sneak out before anyone woke up. Grace had told him that it was all part of her clever plan to catch Alain, unfortunately Charlus had been away from her too long to remember that her 'plans' usually involved cliffs and horrible death.

This one involved both.

They'd descended down their hotel room from the window using the electronic hangers they were given. The icy winds slapped their skins as he climbed down from their window, sometimes even throwing him off the wall. But luckily, Grace alone was man enough for two of them.

"I missed this!" She screamed from the balcony of a closed room while hurling a rope aiming towards a small notch to swing across, "the adrenaline is coursing in my body."

Sure, she wasn't cold now. Then they'd taken a snowmobile which the Consortium had provided them with to a little town in the mountains, that's where the signals were coming from.

"It's from everywhere!" Charlus shivered despite wearing four layers, "we'd never reach the hotel back in time."

Grace grunted her teeth, "Let's split up." She said soon after which she disappeared.

As Charlus made its way towards the town in search for the unown, he passed several abandoned chop-shops. He couldn't help but agreed with the large chunk of people who had decided to stay inside the hotel at one in the morning. Pangs of envy were fuming out of him.

The moon rays pierced through the stormy clouds bouncing off the frozen fountain and illuminating the snowy town, he closed his eyes for a moment as the rays pierced through his cornea's, afflicting his eyesight.
