"Kumain ka na Naiah," Nanang went inside my room.

Nakadungaw ako sa window ng room ko to see if nakaleave na sila ng house. When the car was already out of my sight, I move away from my window.

They leave tonight because of that social party. I don't want to come that's why I stayed here.

"I'll go down na po," I answered Nanang Cora. "You should rest na po Nanang," I gave her a small smile.

She said with full of emotions in her eyes.

I don't want to cry in front of her. I don't want to make her worry, that's why I just nod. She never failed to teach me little things na makakabuti para sa akin. And her words matter a lot for me as much as she matters to me. Isa iyon sa mga pinanghahawakan ko.

"I will," I almost whispered. Isiniksik ko ang ulo ko sa dibdib niya to hug her tight. I closed my eyes and cherished her warm embrace. "I miss my Mom," I said unconsciously.

There's a sudden stab on my chest when I said that. A single tear escaped but I wiped it right away. I really don't want to cry.

Hinaplos ni Nanang ang likod ko. Like she's trying to make me sleep.

I tightened my hug on her.

"I love you too, Nanang."

"So much drama na Nanang. My gosh!" natatawang sabi ko. "I'll eat na po. Kayo, mag-rest na po kayo. Beauty sleep!" I kissed her cheek before I went down in the kitchen.

I don't have the appetite to eat since kumain na ako ng salad kanina.

When I reached the kitchen I saw Karus on the countertop, eating alone. He glanced at me once pero binalik din ulit ang atensyon sa food niya. Seems like he's avoiding me now. Who cares? He judged me rin nga pala.

Hindi ko na lang din siya pinansin at dumiretso na sa fridge to get some beers. Kumuha muna ako ng picnic mat sa room ko then I went outside the house.

Tonight's a bright night. There are a lot of stars all over the sky giving enough light for me. I sat on the mat and opened a can of beer.

"What a peaceful night it is. So relaxing." Lumagok ako sa hawak kong beer.

I enjoyed the fresh air hugging my whole body.

I let myself lay on the mat, giving me a better view of the sky. I raised my hand imagining that I could reach and touch the twinkling stars.

"I envy y'all because you have the freedom up there. You can shine and stand out. I wish I am like you all too."
