It was the weekend of Alex and Natalia's sorority party.

I dressed myself into a white tee with the word 'female' in bold black letters, blue mom jeans, and white sneakers. My hair was tied into a low, messy bun with two locks hanging on either side on my face. My daisy drop earrings were the same design I had on my nails.

Hayley wore black high waisted ripped jeans, dirty black and white sneakers, and an oversized grey shirt with an image of San Francisco that she had cut into a crop top during the summer last year. Her hair was in the usual state of being parted down the center and tucked behind her ears.

"You okay?" Hayley asked. She had been sitting at my desk, looking through her phone as I stood in front of the mirror.

"I don't know," I answered truthfully. I turned to face her and saw that she was frowning.

"What's wrong? Did someone say anything to you? Tell me who. I'll call Dean and we'll go beat the sh-"

"No it's not that," I cut her off.

She gazed at me confused. "Then what is it?"

"It's the sorority party. I'm probably exaggerating. You know that I parties aren't really my scene and that I haven't gone to one since high school. I think I'm just nervous." I sighed, thinking of all the possible things that could go wrong. What if I do something stupid and they laugh at me? What if they see me and don't let me in? Then it would've been a huge waste of time and gas for all four of us to go. What if-

"We can cancel if you're not feeling well. It's okay. Like I told Natalia, I'm only going if you are. We can keep watching Criminal Minds instead if you want."

"But there's free food," I pouted.

"You're right," she chuckled. "But seriously, do you really want to go?"

"You're going to be by my side always?"

Hayley winked, "always mama."

I took a breath. "Okay," I nodded. "Let's go."

"You girls ready?" Natalia called out from somewhere in the apartment.

Hayley and I stepped out of my room, making our way to the living room. Natalia wore shorts, a black belt, a black oversized tee that was tucked into her shorts, and black sneakers. Her t-shirt had the word 'instinct' outlined in silver above the image of a lion. She had thick gold hoop earrings, along with her many other piercings, and a thick gold chain. She did her signature eyeliner wing, sculpted eyebrows, and a mauve matte lip color.

Natalia sat on the couch while Alex laid her head on her lap. Both were looking at their phones.

Alex was dressed in an all black attire consisting of leggings, a t-shirt, and sneakers. The only jewelry she had on was her gold cross necklace.

"Ready," I called out.

Natalia and Alex looked up at Hayley and I before standing up. "Alright," Alex said. "We're taking my car."

As we headed towards the front door, Alex grabbed her keys from the kitchen table. Other than that we didn't need anything else on us except our phones. Hayley and I had made sure our phones were fully charged in case we needed to make a call or something.

The ride lasted less than fifteen minutes. I stared out the window through most of it. There were barely any cars on the road like every Saturday night, most having reached their destination. That being home or one of the many bars and restaurants around campus.
