♡ BITTERSWEET (2018)

BITTERSWEET is the third mini album from cube entertainment female soloist, ryun, released on july 18, 2018. it includes ten tracks in total including the title track hann and the promotional track palette (a pre-released single released a month before the album.)

palette's collaboration came about when ryun's manager received a phone call from g-dragon's management asking if ryun would like to work together. of course she accepted, and the song was written and recorded within a month. they officially met during recording, where g-dragon complimented ryun's voice and her writing on the song. he ended up gifting her a signed copy of his album and buying dinner for her staff.

the title track to the album would be debuted at her second concert in seoul titled, ryun 2nd concert "bittersweet love," featuring (g)-idle. a japanese concert titled, ryun presents "bittersweet love" in japan, would be preformed the same year.

bittersweet was her first album to peak at #1 on the gaon weekly album chart. while palette was her first song to peak at #1 on the gaon digital music chart and hann was a hit internationally, charting at #3. it earned her many new fans from the states and places outside of asia. palette and hann are also ryun's most awarded songs for music show, winning a collective eighteen awards by the end of promotions.

hann would later be re-recorded and promoted by g-idle and released as a digital single under their group.
