The good times back when you were mine
You laugh and smile always were so Devine
Hoping that one day you would see your shine
They all tell you that you are a lost cause
But you are the only one who helped me look past all of my flaws
Wishing that someone would care
Just wishing
Wishing you were there
But all they saw you for was a fraud
Only seeing you and anyone for all their own flaws
Wishing for nothing more than to hurt
Hurt themselves and others with their own words
Pain and sorrow is all the see
When I just want you to be happy
Smiling and laughing without a care
Wind blowing through your hair
Remembering the times we would go
Go to the place we called home
Skating into the nights cover
The dark colors of midnight bathing us
Calming feelings relaxing us as they came across our skin
Making all of this feel so real and
And like something only seen in a dream
Of a time where we could be happy
Running while you chase me
Through this field that reminds you of me
You are the stars in the night
Because sometimes you are just so bright
I am the grass in the field
Loving the moment the sun disappears
All because I want to feel your love
In this moment we are a part of
Loving you is what I am
Loving me is all I ask for
So let's have the good times
Before they make it seem so wrong
Because it isn't love
Being happy with you is more than I could dream of
