How is my life supposed to be lived?
How am I supposed to make you proud of me?
Do you care what happens to this body?
Or do you just want your needs met at the cost of any?

Expecting too much will hurt
You give too much
Fall too hard
Don't expect others to give the same
They will only take
Like a rose on the top of a mountain
It's beauty comforts many
While no one bothers to go to the rose
No one wants to hold it
Care for it
Because it's unattainable to them

Does it hurt?
Hurt to know I am the only one who treats you as royalty?
You ask me to call you princess
I call you my princess
Because you deserve all the good I never got
Even though I am what you become
