The One With The Voices

"You are Emily Gilbert," the main voice immediately echoed into the young witch's mind as to prove that they were in the right place. "You are the last living Radkova witch and the Protector of the Innocence," the voice added as they further proved their point that they knew who they were talking to.

"Huh," Emily mumbled as she carelessly shrugged her shoulders before she muttered, "I guess you do know your stuff." The Gilbert girl leaned her back against the red brick wall before she boredly inquired as she hoped to just end this conversation already, so she could be on her way, "what do you want with me? Is this a new witch thing?"

"You are meant to be a protector to the innocent beings around you," the main voice practically screeched into Emily's mind. "You are not supposed to be killing and hurting people for fun," the angry words painfully bounced around the young witch's mind by how loud them were.

"You are abusing your powers," a different sounding voice scolded Emily, "this is not the way of our kind. This is not the reason why Maria Radkova gave up her powers for you."

"You have to learn your lesson for using the good name of the Protectors of the Innocence for evil," a third voice told the Gilbert girl before they concluded with a loud snarl, "you have to be punished."

The annoyed and bored witch didn't even get the chance to question the voices in her head or to tell them to leave her alone before Emily suddenly felt her third round of pain enter and move throughout her body. The shocking pain was so much worst than the two times before that Emily couldn't stop her body from dropping painfully down to the hard ground in the dark alleyway.

"Stop it, dammit!" The Gilbert girl cried out as she wrapped her arms around her waist while she was in a ball on the ground as she tried to somehow control the pain. However, when the shock continued to move through her body, Emily decided that she needed to try something - anything at this point or she was sure that she would end up passing out.

"I won't hurt anyone anymore!" The Radkova witch lied as she tried to convince the voices, who she figured were previous Protectors of the Innocence, in her mind to leave her alone. "I promise, I'll only help people from now on!" Emily continued to screech as more and more shocks of pain moved through her body.

Thankfully for the young witch, the pain suddenly all went away after the last word had slipped through her dark purple lips. "If you continue down this path," the second voice, that Emily had recognized was much softer than the other two, warned the Gilbert girl, "we will have to do something worse to you."

The blonde witch released a heavy groan as she pushed herself back up to her feet, once again, after the pain had went away with it only giving her dull pains to her back. Emily rolled her green eyes once she felt like she could breathe normally again before she sarcastically asked the voices in her mind, "like what? Kill me?"

The Gilbert girl released a loud scoff before she snarled out, "I'd like to see you try when I am the last Radkova witch in existence." Emily crossed her arms over her black top before she continued with a cocky smirk painted onto her purple lips, "I'm sure you don't want my life to be in vain or everything you guys worked for would be for nothing."

Emily released an amused chuckle before she stated what they were all thinking, "the Radkova witches would all die with me." The Gilbert girl stood up straighter and pointed her finger at her chest before she warned the witches in her head, "you guys need me, so before you come at me with threats, remember who the fuck I am."

Emily carelessly shrugged her shoulders as she told the voices, "I honestly don't care about living or dying, but you guys do." The Gilbert girl released an emotionless chuckle before she snarled out as she didn't like the idea of these witches threatening her, "I am the baddest and strongest witch to ever live, so don't test me."

The Radkova witch dusted off the dirt from her black outfit, straightened out her skirt, and fixed her previously messed up blonde hair before a smirk worked its way onto her purple lips. Emily lifted her right eyebrow before she cockily taunted the voices in her head, "now, do we have a problem?"

The voices inside the blonde witch's mind were silent for about a minute or two before the first and most strong voice spoke up. "This is your warning, Emily Gilbert," the main voice told the last Radkova witch, "we may not be alive any longer, but you know we can mess with your head." The voice grew quiet as they let their words settle into Emily's mind before the main voice made her point as she added, "how do you think the other human turned witches went crazy?"

Emily rolled her green eyes as she didn't believe the witches for even a second. "Yeah, okay," the Gilbert girl scoffed before she stated confidently as she knew the witches couldn't kill her, "do all that you want to me but I will still be here." Emily furthered her point as she taunted the voices, "your bloodline depends on me, so bring all the pain you want but at the end of the day, I will still be here doing what I want."

Emily, herself, let her words sink into the witches' minds for a moment or so before she questioned with a smirk displayed across her dark purple lips after she knew that she had the voices right where she wanted them, "so, are we going to go for some more torture or can I be on my way now?" Emily knew the witches couldn't defeat or end her no matter how bad her actions are, so she knew that she had no reason to be afraid of them when she was the strongest witch in existence.

"We are done for now," the main voice muttered into Emily's mind before she agreed with the young witch, "you are right. We do need you." The dominant voice didn't give Emily the chance to gloat as she immediately warned the blonde witch, "but if you continue to hurt innocent people, we will be back."

"We will come back every single time until you realize that this wasn't what your fate was supposed to be like," the fierce third voice immediately continued at where the first voice had left off, "this was not the reason why Maria Radkova went out of her way to keep you alive."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," the Gilbert girl muttered as she rolled her green eyes in annoyance from hearing the same words over and over again. "I was meant for something greater," Emily sarcastically uttered before she stated, "I've heard it all before." Emily shook her head as she told the witches in her mind, "but I'm done doing what everyone wants me to do."

The Gilbert girl lifted her hands in the air and grinned wickedly at the dark sky before she exclaimed, "I'm finally free, so I'm not gonna let some dead witches stop me when the fun has just begun."

"This is your last warning, stop hurting the innocent," the first and dominant witch loudly echoed throughout Emily's head as she ordered. "You are meant to be protecting them," the voice stated before she threatened the young witch, "get yourself in order or we will be forced to step in."

Emily, once again, rolled her green eyes in annoyance at all of these empty threats. "Yeah, sure," the Gilbert girl scoffed before she taunted the voices in her head, "I'd like to see you stop the most powerful witch in existence." Emily released an amused chuckle before she teased the witches as she sarcastically questioned, "what are you going to do, huh? You gonna scold me some more? Or maybe you'll squeeze my brain again?"

However, when Emily was only meant with complete silence, the Radkova witch lifted up her right eyebrow and cockily inquired, "hello? Is anyone there?" The Gilbert girl waited for a solid three minutes but when she could only hear her own thoughts, Emily let out a loud scoff before she muttered, "yeah, that's what I thought."

Emily pointed her finger onto the center of her chest as she exclaimed, "you guys need me." The Gilbert girl, once again, straightened out her black outfit as she knew they were done torturing her while she told the witches, "I don't fear your empty threats." Emily pushed a portion of her platinum blonde hair behind her ear and told the witches for the last time before she strutted down the streets like the dangerous and strong witch she was, "now stay out of my way."
