A year has passed already but he never came back.

After two months of searching for Dominic's body, they finally stopped. Even though I wanted to continue, Dominic's parents told me that I should end it and accept that he's no longer exists. When they found out what had happened, they immediately flew here in Geneva with my parents. Dominic's accident was also reported here in Geneva and in the Philippines. I still remember how Mama, (Dominic's Mom) lost her consciousness when she found out what happened to her unico hijo. Although Dad was calm, I could see the pain in his eyes. He loved Dominic even though he once rejected him because of what happened to us then. Eric wept when he found out what happened to his father. It took me days before I dared to tell my son that his father was gone already. At first, he can't accept it. Now, he's slowly accepting that his father will never come back.

Leslie was not considered as a suspect when they could not find any evidence that involves her in the accident that happened to my husband. The purse bag they found was not enough.

Flashback

"Si Leslie!" I quickly grabbed the ID from Alex.

He's right. This is Leslie!

"Sir, this woman! She's involved here! She killed my husband! I'm very sure of that!" I said hysterically.

I knew it. She really has a plan!

"We'll investigate, ma'am. For now, we'll keep this purse for further investigation." Umiling ako.

"No! I'm telling you the truth! My friend saw her week ago in front of my company building."

"And?"

"I don't know what she's up to. But I'm very sure that she went there to kill me!"

"May I ask what is your relationship with her?" The police took something from his pocket. A pen and a pad.

"She had an affair with my husband. And she wants to take me out of the picture." He nodded as he wrote what I was saying.

"What else?"

"She's... crazy," I said almost in a whisper. The police laughed a little but he still jotted down.

"Wait," Alex mumbled. The police looked at him.

"I'll give a statement too."

The police nodded.

"She's telling the truth, sir." Turo sakin ni Alex. Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya. "Days ago, I and the victim saw that girl when we were in a restaurant near Ms. Elisa's building." Napatingin ako kay Alex.

"Continue," Sabi ng police.

"My friend was furious at that time upon seeing her. I didn't interfere with their conversation and let them talk. They've talked for a minute before we left her. But I heard from Leslie that she want him back that's why she went here in Geneva. My friend just ignored her and left the place. That's all sir." The police finished his writing before looking at us.

"Thank you for giving your statements. We'll inform you when we testified that she's really involved here." The police left and the two of us were left behind.

I confronted Alex.

"Bakit hindi niyo sinabi sakin?"

"I'm sorry.

I'll make sure she'll end up in jail!"

End of flashback

I clenched my fist when I remembered what had happened. I was very upset because she was not imprisoned. Aside from the weak evidence we have, that woman has already receded to the Philippines right after the accident. There's no news of where she is hiding. She's really guilty!

"I'll never be okay, ma. Hanggang ngayon, sobrang akong nasasaktan."

He always lightens up my mood to make me happy at least.

"You have to be strong anak. Hindi pwedeng lagi kang ganyan. Isipin mo si Elise. 2 months old pa lang siya. Kailangan masigla ang mommy niya." Nahimasmasan ako sa sinabi ni mama.

Ang anak ko...

I found out that I was pregnant when Dominic's searching operation ended. I did not even know that I was pregnant then. Because I was so busy dealing with Dominic's case, I had no idea that I was carrying an angel.

I named our daughter, ELISE DOMINIQUE E. SAAVEDRA. She's turning 3 months old.

She's pretty.
