I walk to the front of Liz's house, tugging slightly on my scarf. I don't think anyone else I know besides Peter and Ned is coming. Flash is running a DJ station. I walk around uncomfortably, taking in my surroundings.
"DJ Flash!" A guy cheers, and I flinch slightly. Jesus, I need to work on concealing my jitters.
"Kat! How are you?" Liz walks up to me.
"Great! Nice party. How are you?" I ask.
"Thanks. I'm doing pretty well. It's nice having you here." Liz smiles.
"Yeah. It's my first real party, so it's a bit overwhelming." I laugh.
"Well, I gotta go. Have fun!" Liz leaves.
"Thanks." I walk to the kitchen and find MJ.
"MJ! I didn't know you were here." I say as I sit down by her.
"I'm happy you're here." MJ nods. We chat a little before Peter and Ned show up, talking about something. "Can't believe you guys are at this lame party." MJ greets. She carelessly throws her hair back, trying to act cool. She is in the process of spreading jam on a slice of toast.
"But you're here too," Ned says. His hat's pretty cool.
"Am I?" MJ asks, as the toast crunches and MJ takes a bite out of it and walks away.
"I like your hat, Ned," I say.
"Thanks, Kat." Ned nods.
"You look great too!" Peter blushes.
"Thanks, but I gotta go. Bye." I wave. Goddamnit! I fucking, no I DUCKING hate this. Does Peter like Liz, or me? I sigh audibly, and race off after MJ.
"I thought you were still head over heels for Parker." She snorts.
"This is so annoying!" I groan, as MJ and I sit in the front yard of the house.
"The party? I agree." MJ asks.
"No! Peter. I don't know if he like Liz or me!" I sigh.
"Oh." MJ nods.
"I can't believe it! When he sees Liz, I could literally feel his crush for Liz radiating off him, but when we're talking, he stutters, blushes, and I do that too, and I think I may have a crush on him, but it's never going to happen!" I sigh.
"That's some crazy shit right there." MJ nods.
"I just wish I could get focused enough to try." I sigh.
"Well, come on. Let's go back in a get your worries of a boy." MJ gets up, offering her hand to me. I stand up. "Dance the cares away!"
"Alright! I laugh, walking inside.
"When I say penis, you say Parker. Penis!" Flash yells, as we come in.
"Oh god. I can't even with Flash." I groan.
"On second thought, how about we get ice cream." MJ suggests.
"Parker!" The crowd cheers.
"Yeah. How are we gonna get there though? I don't have money." I ask.
"Penis!" Flash yells.
"Hm, I'm not sure. Let's just go for a walk then." MJ shrugs.
"Parker!" The crowd cheers.
"Let's leave." I sigh, and we walk out of the house.
"Hey, if Peter really likes you, he'd probably drop his crush on Liz soon." MJ says.
"Thanks MJ. You're a great friend." I smile.
"Thanks." MJ smiles.
That was short, but I think I do a double update though. Right now, Kat should be facing her studies, instead of heroing, which is why she's not in the action that much, but soon trouble will come her way!
