Triton's POV-

Whew, ok. Last night, I met my twin brother. The one that I was technically supposed to have dueled against last night till one of us dies. I probably would've won, but not if we grew up together. And even just seeing him last night, I could tell he was a fairly skilled, especially since he's been hiding for 16 years.

The party had ended around 4 am. I was literally exhausted, cause when I got back to my room... well it was my wedding night.

So yeah. I just finished lunch at 2 pm, having gotten hardly any sleep. Since I was King, I had called off all meetings today so I could do one of three things. 1) take a nap. 2) go hang out with Percy or 3) call an emergency council and change the law.

I choose nap.

Ahh, how refreshing.

Now.... council meeting or bro time?

Bro time, obviously.

As I was walking, I thought about things I should say, how I should act, stuff like that. I'm going to go for chill and relaxed, mostly cause I need a break from being all hoity toity and whatnot, but also cause Percy seems like a super chill guy.

Just as I was hyping myself up and getting excited, I ran into Dad.

"Hey there Dad!" I said, praying this would be a quick conversation.

"Hello there, son!" He said, clapping me on the back. This was not going to be quick. "What're you up to?"

"Umm..." Should I tell him about Percy? I mean, I might as well, I'm going to change the law tomorrow. "Well, actually Dad, I have to tell you something. Something big. You may want to sit down."

"Uh, alright," Dad said walking over to a bench nearby. "What's going on son?"

"Well.... Ok, there's really no easy way to say this but uh, I have a twin brother."

Silence.

More silence.

"Dad?"

Even more silence.

"That's not possible," Dad finally responded.

"Uhh why not?"

"Because. I was right outside the door when you were born. I would've known if your mother had a second baby. Actually, maybe I wouldn't have cause I kind of ran off, but I would've known if there was another baby in the castle."

"Oh yeah? Then what's in the Northern Tower that's so important to Mom that no one is allowed in there, besides Emma?"

Dad looked stunned, as a wave a realization washed over him.

"Sally?!" He yelled, getting up and running away to find Mom.

"Dad, wait!" I called, following him. I easily caught up to him, seeing as I could run faster then him.

"Triton, your mother has committed treason, twice. Once, by having your brother, then again by lying to me. Something has to be done."

"Fine. Get me some paper, a pen and the kingdom seal. I'll do something."

"You can't change the law to protect them. I forbid it."

"Well I forbid you from forbidding me. I'm the King now, remember? Look, Dad, everything's going to be fine. I can make it ok! Plus, I'm already King, and I'm technically older than Percy, so I'm the rightful heir anyways."

"Well... alright, I guess. I still don't like this, changing ancient laws. Wait, are you going to change the law about not lying to the King?"

"No, that would be stupid. If anyone asks, you're just going to say you knew, but Mom didn't want you up there cause it might cause problems or something. I don't know you figure it out!" I said, relieved that everything turned out okay. I was getting really nervous for awhile. I mean, yeah, I'm King, but Dad is also technically a king as well, and pretty popular among the people, seeing how he's led them for like 30 years or whatever.
