Chapter 40

It's the day after Brian's brain surgery, I'm currently sitting at his bedside waiting for him to wake up. A good sign that he is going to wake up soon is that my dad took out the
breathing tube about two hours ago I'm sat looking at him, I see his eyes twitch open "Brian?" I got up to press the nurses button multiple times

"Sarah?" I heard him say, I looked at him and he looked at me happy tears escaped my eyes I grabbed his hand and brought it to my chest kissing it when nurses came in

"Mr.hillsday welcome back" he said

"What happened?" Brian asked the nurse

"I'll let Dr.Shepherd explain that to you, you weren't out that long maybe about a day and a half" he wrote down in his chart, I smiled at Brian very big after he did his check up the nurse walked out

"I missed you so much" I brushed his hair out of his face kissing his forehead softly

"I guess we can't do anything this weekend anymore" he laughed, I leaned down to kiss him I let go and sat down in the chair

"I know that we were going wait a while to tell people that we were together but I had to tell my parents and your parents were also in the room, so now they know" I told him

"I'm okay with that, I mean clearly he did my surgery so he didn't kill me" he joked, I hit him softly on the shoulder

"Don't joke about you dying, I was heartbroken Brian I thought you left me for good" I cried, he pulled me in for a hug

"I'm right here I'm never leaving again, I'm sorry for joking about it" he rubbed my back and kissed my head, I pulled back and sat in the chair when my dad came in with his chart

"It's good to see you Brian" he said

My dad did his check up, he surprisingly did good "everything checks out to be good, you'll be here for about two more weeks to heal up your brain. Now I have something else to talk to you about" he told Brian, I gave him a 'what are you doing' look

"What do you need to talk about" Brian asked him

He sat on edge of his bed "you're dating my daughter right" he asked

"Yes" Brian responded and nodded his head, I can tell he is very confused by the way he's looking at me

"Thank you for answering honestly, reminding you I am her father and might I add a very good surgeon so if you hurt her I promise I will find a doctor far far away to help you" he told Brian who was now terrified

"Dad you don't need to scare him" I told him

"I'm going to go now, Sarah I'll pick you up later and you are going to school tomorrow. See you later glad to see your awake" my dad said then walked out of his room

"I'm sorry about him" I told him, he took my hand

"Don't worry about it babe" he said, I blushed at the name

"I like it" I said intertwining our fingers

"Like what?" He smiled

"The nickname you gave me" I told him, I leaned into him making my face closer

"Babe" he whispered pressing his lips against mine, I put my hand behind his head deepening the kiss

"I've missed you even though it's been a day" I laughed

"I always miss you" he told me, I blushed as always he patted the bed

"You want me to lay with you?" I questioned him, he nodded

"Won't I pull a wire or tube?" I then asked

"I'm sure you won't, now come up here" he begged, I took my shoes off and lifted the covers to lay with Brian, he put his arm around my back and I put my arm on his back, I lean my head on his chest with my hand as he puts his chin on my head then using his free hand to put the blanket over me, he kissed my head lightly

"You are so adorable, I love you" he whispered into my ear

I smiled "I love you too"
