Chapter 26

"Sarah, ever since your dads surgery a month ago we've been hiding something from you" I told my daughter as I sat on her hospital bed

She looked at me curiously "what is it mama" she asked me in a weak voice, she had her last brain surgery yesterday and Dr.nelson got it all out we are keeping her here until she's healed then we can finally get her out of this bed and she can be a normal nine year old, I can't believe I have a nine year old now "in 7 months you are going to be a big sister again" I told her

I see her eyes widen with glee "that's so amazing mama, is it a boy or girl? Can I see a picture please" she asked me, I smiled at her showing a picture of my ultrasound from last week "there they are" I pointed at the little sack in the photo "also when you leave the hospital hopefully in the next couple of months your room is ready in the new house daddy built for us, I know you are much much older so your old stuff will still be in there but we can buy you brand new things okay" I smiled

"Can I pick it out?" She asked me with her pouty face

"Yes you can, I think your dad will be out of surgery in an hour so you can ask him everything about the new house I have to see a patient I love you" I kissed her head and walked out of her room

"Suction Wilson don't go all easy now" I yelled at the intern

"Dr. Grey the pancreas is patchy" she said

"Damnit we have to get him back on the transplant list this pancreas is no good" I said

"Close him up, get him to icu Wilson scrub out with me let's go talk to the wife" I told her, I took my gown, gloves and mask off then washed my hands thoroughly

Walking out of the scrub room and into the OR waiting room looking for Mr. Henley's wife, once I see her Wilson and I walk up "Mrs. Henley, your husband is okay but there was a patchy area on the pancreas which means his body is rejecting the pancreas so he has to be put back on the transplant list" I told her, I could see tears in her eyes

"Can I see him?" She asks, I nod and lead her into the icu room where her husband is at

"Does this mean he has to be back on the list?" She asks

"Yes, unfortunately we only have about 2 weeks to get him a pancreas" jo told her

"Dr. Wilson is going to look after him, I have other patients and if you need anything please ask to page me, Dr. Wilson or Dr. bailey" I walked out of the room

I was going to write more but I'm gonna leave it at that! I hope you all are having a great day I'm gonna take a week break again from the book to get some inspiration. I go back to work next week and I also start summer school as well so I'm gonna be busy I hope you all understand have a great day <3
