Chapter 37

They made me stay overnight for observation, such a waste really but I did miss a day of school major plus "hey you ready to go" dad asked me rolling in a wheelchair

"Yeah" I grabbed my bag and sat in the chair

"Did you tell Brian you were in the hospital?" He asked

"Why are you and mom wanting to know if I've told him or not, and to answer your question it's a no" I told him getting into the elevator

"Well we are your parents and I know you like Brian plus I'm curious" he said, I laughed a bit the elevator door opened to the lobby my dad brought me to his car and I got up opened the car door then we sped off to the house

"Am I going to school tomorrow?" I asked him

"Yes, your mom wanted you to have tomorrow off but I vetoed that" he told me

"why didn't you listen I'm not in the mood for questions at school" I whined

"School is important Sarah, you have to go" he told me pulling into the driveway, i picked up my phone to see a text from Brian

Brian- can I pick you up from school?

Me- I didn't go to school today just come over

Brian- why didn't you go to school? Is everything alright?

Me- I'll tell you if you come over

He didn't respond after that and he is probably on his way over "are you going back to the hospital?" I asked my dad when we walked into the house

"No, I figured I would keep you company" he told me

"Brian might come over, I'm gonna tell him so I will be fine" I told him

"Are you sure?" He asked, I nodded

"Alright, we will be back late probably and this weekend we have off so I've decided that we should let you get your license" he told me, I smiled very widely

"Thank you daddy" I hugged him

"You are very welcome baby girl, after what happened at school yesterday and you know I feel like you now deserve it" he said hugging me

"I promise I won't mess it up, if I do you can take it away not forever but maybe for like a day" I told him, he laughed then let go

He walked out the door and I went on the couch waiting for Brian, 30 minutes passed and I heard a knock at the door I got up to open it "hey" I said

"Hey, can I come in?" He said

"Of course" I opened the door more to let him in

"Did you want to talk to me?" I asked him

"Yeah" he sat on the couch while I sat on the edge of it

"I have something to tell you as well" I said

"My parents want to go to dinner on Friday and I want you to be my date" he said

"I would love to come with you" I told him

"Thank you, honestly I don't know what I'd do if you said no" he told me, he pulled me into his lap

"Now what is your thing you'd like to tell me" he asked

"Now that you know the cancer thing, and Sunday night I was preparing for a test and yesterday I collapsed I'm fine i went to the hospital overnight I just got home, and when we got home my dad said I can get my license" I told him smiling

"Holy shit, now I don't have to pick you up and take you places" he laughed

I hit him playfully "you can be my study buddy" I told him

"I would love nothing more" he kissed my cheek

"Can we watch a movie I'm exhausted" I asked

"Of course" he turned the tv on to watch I think it was an avenger movie

*switching pov*

After a long shift filled with surgeries I picked up a sleeping Ellis while Meredith had bailey and Zola I see that Brian's car is in the driveway, I opened the door to see the both sleeping on the couch "leave them be der" my wife told me

I brought Ellis to her room and Meredith put bailey down in his room then I did the same with Zola we walked back into the living room to see them sleeping and also cuddling, I walk over to them and put a blanket over them then walk over to my wife take her hand then head to our bedroom for a peaceful sleep
