"Meredith I heard your daughter got shot in the shooting" Andrew said toward me

"Yeah, she gets to go home tomorrow.. she is really excited" I told him smiling

"That's good but how are you? Both your husband and daughter got shot how did you feel after that" he then asked me

"I'm perfectly fine and after they got shot i was hurt obviously, how is this supposed to get me to go back into the O.R. After Cristina got married to hunt last night you cleared her just this morning. Do I have to get remarried to get cleared for surgery you cleared my husband a week after he got out, what do I have to do" I asked him

His mouth opened like he wanted to say something and then just closed his mouth back up again, I quickly got up and stormed out of the room I walked down the corridor to find Cristina sitting on a hospital bed "how's married life" I asked her sitting on the bed next to her

"Boring, I'm in a surgery with Owen and teddy today it's gonna be good" she told me

"are you sure because last time" I said but got interrupted by Cristina "hey I told you to stop talking about that I'm ready I know I am, did Perkins clear you?" She asked me

"No, probably never will I'm gonna be a stay at home mom with my mountain of kids derek wants to have. I'll be a soccer mom while my husband gets to cut into brains everyday" I sighed

"You could always practice surgery on your family dinners" she laughed, i nudged her

"oh my god, I'm not going to do that" I told her, I heard my pager go off

"It's Sarah i gotta go" I jumped off the bed and walked swiftly to her room, I turned into her room and saw her watching a show

"Hey love bug" I said, she looked at me

"Momma I want a puppy" she asked me, I giggled at her response

"Sarah puppies are a big deal, and hard to take care of. Me and daddy won't be home often to even take care of them, you are just a little girl you can't even take of yourself yet" I told her sitting on her bed

"Well daddy would get me one if I use my puppy dog eyes" she laughed

"What would I get you?" Derek said walking through the door

"Daddy I want a puppy" she used her puppy dog eyes on him and he is a total sucker for them

He looked at me and then back at Sarah "maybe when your older not now okay" he ruffled her hair

"Awe I thought that would work" she pouted

"She tried getting one out of me, but I told her no" I said towards derek

"Hey are you cleared for surgery yet?" He then asked, I let out a big sigh

"No, he won't even do anything to help me. I need to cut derek" I whispered to derek

"You are a surgical junkie, also why is kepner scared of me everytime I go into the same room as her?" He asked me

"maybe she likes you daddy" Sarah told him

"Well that could explain it but she's on my service this week with Lexie and it's awkward" he told us

"Is that why you came to see Sarah?" I asked him

"Yeah and also I missed her" he said looking at her

"I'm tired can you read me a book daddy?" Sarah asked

"Of course, okay lay back me and mommy will read you to sleep" derek said grabbing a book on the table behind him

"The little mouse, hey it's a book about you Sarah" I told her

"Momma read first please" she said, I started the book for her and she fell asleep within minutes. I kissed her head and so did derek then he kissed my lips

"I'm gonna stay in here and take a nap with her" I told him, he nodded then turn the lights out

"I love you both" I heard derek say before I fell into a deep sleep
