CHAPTER 12

Lunes na naman ulit and I have to go to work. I already booked a flight kahapon and sasama si Patrixia at si Terrence sa amin. May schedule akong ngayon sa operating room, a patient with pulmonary valve stenosis. It’s a rare disorder that is typically present at birth.

Not all people who have pulmonary valve stenosis requires a medical treatment. However, may mga tao parin na kailangan ang medications or surgeries para itama ang condition nito. The pulmonary valve in a fetus may fail to develop properly during pregnancy and this disease may also have a genetic component.

Traven is already in school and Adonis bought some flowers for me again, I really love his determination and I really miss him so bad. He never fails to impress me. Hindi ko parin pinapansin si kuya Arch, ang sama ko ba? Well, I don't care, he still never apologize to me personally.

I'm currently here in my office and I'm done with my paperworks. Just scrolling through the internet to entertain myself, wala naman din akong gagawin pang iba dahil maaga ko natapos ng mga ito.

Nang maglunch na ay tumayo na ako sa upuan ko at binitbit ang paper bag na naglalaman ng pack lunch ko. As usual, inaya ko si Laxus to eat with us. Pagdating namin sa lounge ay kumaway agad si Doctor Guilla sa amin.

As we seated, binati ko sila at inilabas ang pack lunch ko. Eating with the people you are close with is better than eating all by yourself, I'm not that loner type of woman.

"How's Engineer Vargas, Doc Guillermo?" ngiting aso ni Brandon

"Wala na ba tayong ibang pag usapan? Come on guys, really?" Sabi ko

"Paano ba yan, ikaw lang naman ang may love life dito sa atin e" tawa ni Nurse Jess

"I saw a deliver guy coming towards your office with a bouquet, is it from that Engineer again?" Brandon smirked

All eyes were on me, all of them were smirking at hindi ko mapigilan ang mailang. Like come' on people, what's wrong with that? Can't they get it?

"Y-yeah, Adonis gives me flowers everyday even though nasa Cebu siya for the project"  sabi ko

"Oh my God! I'm so jealous, Vy! Sana naman may magbigay sa akin ng bulaklak para maganahan akong mag trabaho. Kakainggit ka!" sabi ni Doc Guilla

"Pinapadalhan naman kita ng bulaklak sa opisina mo pero tinatapon mo lang naman" dinig kong bulong ni Brandon

Oh my God! Is this for real? Brandon is sending flowers to Guilla? I mean, it's obvious that they like each other! They were just denial!

"Laxus mentioned that you'll be having a one week break? Is that true, Doc Guillermo?" Tanong ni Doc Elizabeth

Tumango ako at sumubo. "Yup! I want to take a break and spend some more time with my son. You all know how busy I am"

"Saan naman ang balak mo? Tagaytay? Batangas?" tanong ni Brandon

"Uuwi kami ng Surigao ng anak ko, may bahay kasi kami doon at malapit lang sa dagat. Somehow, I miss the beach and everything" sabi ko

Pagkatapos namin kumain ay bumalik na kami sa opisina namin. The operation will be at two in the afternoon kaya tinawagan ko si kuya Damian para sunduin si Traven sa school. Naghahanda na ako ngayon at nakapagbihis na rin ng operating uniform.

One o' clock na kami kasi natapos kumain dahil ang saya ng pag uusap namin at hindi na namalayan ang oras. Ang daldal kasi ni Nurse Jess at Doc Guilla. Lumabas na ako ng opisina at sumakay ng elevator pababa.

Dumiretso ako sa operating room at naghugas ng kamay. I make sure to wash my hands and my arms para maiwasan ang infection. The patient is already inside at kinakabitan na ng oxygen at kung ano pa.
