CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

-Chase Rhennan's PoV-

I can't lose Frances. I love her and I just can't.

"Hey, bhe, are you alright?" 

Lumayo ako kay Agatha at tumayo na. "No, I'm not fine... and she's definitely not, too."

Bumangon din si Agatha. "What? What's wrong?"

I shook my head. "I'm sorry, Agatha. I'm so sorry, pero hindi ko rin pala talaga kaya. I really tried damn hard but I really can't. Lagi siyang bumabalik sa isip ko. Lagi niya akong ginugulo kahit sa panaginip ko. Laging siya pa rin sa huli."

I saw tear fell from her eyes.

"Agatha, things are really more than what you think they are," sabi ko. "M-may nangyari sa'min ni Frances weeks after you broke up with me. D-dun talaga nagsimula 'yon. Pero wala pa akong feelings sa kanya noon. It just developed when she started chasing me to take responsibility of what I did. I just started to love her when I moved on on our ended relationship. Actually, n-nabuntis ko siya. Nung malapit na kaming maging okay, nainis ako sa sarili ko kaya pansamantala ko sana siyang iiwan. But then our child... nawala yung anak namin. There I realized she doesn't deserve me. I'm such a fvcking asshole for her. Pero ngayon... Hindi ko pala kaya. I want to make up with her, Agatha. I love her... so damn much. I can't afford to lose her. She needs me... especially right now. I'm really sorry, Agatha." I held her hand. "Listen, I loved you truly, Agatha. You're special for me, but I guess it'll be just up to being friends. I'm really sorry, Agatha."

Nasasaktan man, she still nodded. "Dapat talaga hindi na kita pinakawalan noon. Dapat talaga pinag-isipan ko munang mabuti. But I did. Now, it's time to face the consequences."

"I'm sorry."

"It's alright, Chase. I understand you." She tried to smile. "Sige na. She needs you now. Go to her. Make up for the things you've done."

"God, thank you, Agatha. Thank you so much." Niyakap ko siya tapos ay nagpaalam na at madali na akong nag-drive papunta kay Frances.

This is it. I'll now bravely face my real feelings for her. Kahit gaano niya ako hindi ka-deserve sa mga kawalanghiyaang nagawa ko sa kanya noon, I guess I still deserve a chance to prove that wrong. I'm gonna show her that I love her.

I stepped on car's break and parked in front of Frances' house. From here, I can already feel the very gloomy environment of the place. Malinawag sa loob dahil sa lighting ng  mga ilaw at kandila sa burol  ng kuya niya. 

Bakit ba bigla akong kinabahan? I somehow felt shy for myself after all I did. 

But no. Gagawin ko naman 'to para maging maayos na kami. Gagawin ko 'to para sa'min ding dalawa. Babawi ako sa kanya.
