Reborn
Darko and I met after class. This is the perfect time to talk about this.
Niyaya niya ako sa kanila para daw maipagluto niya man lang ako ng dinner. Pumayag naman ako.
He seems distant to me now. I don't understand but I just let him.
"What do you want me to cook?" Tanong niya habang nasa kusina.
Sinabi ko na lang na kahit ano at pinanood siya habang nagluluto.
I sacrificed my time to talk to him instead of studying at home. This should be good.
"What did you want to talk about last night?" I broke the long silence.
I don't want his silent mood. It feels uncomfortable and I don't know how to explain the feeling.
"Vanesia and I talked yesterday and she wanted me back." He answered immediately without looking at me.
"That's good right? You're finally back together!" I said then stood up.
"We're not back together, Heaven. She just wants me back, I still don't." He said then looked at me straight in the eye.
"What? Bakit ayaw mo? Hindi ba maganda iyon para hindi na tayo nagpapanggap?"
"My texts and calls for you aren't just for pretending, Heaven. I told you, I really think we're in a relationship. I thought we're already on the same page." Aniya at umiling.
"Bakit nga ayaw mo siyang balikan? Yun naman yung goal natin diba?" Naguguluhan na ako.
"I'm not yet ready, I still want her to wait." He said without looking.
"Wait for what?" Tanong ko dahil hindi ko na talaga alam.
"Tapos ka nang magaral kaya ano pang hihintayin niya? Hindi naman na rin natin matutuloy ito." Kalmado kong sabi at nagsalin ng tubig sa baso.
"What? Who told you we're stopping this?" He said while letting the food boil.
Lumapit siya sa akin at hinarap ako. I guess he wasn't distant enough to face me this close.
"Hindi natin ititigil ito, Heaven. I still want you to be my girlfriend." His voice is deep.
He brushed my hair using his long fingers. What is he talking about?
"You're still my girl, aren't you?" He said then pulled me in a hug.
"I thought, we're ending this." I murmured while gripping his polo from the back.
"I saw you two yesterday." I added then he let go of me.
"She just asked me to have a dinner but that didn't changed my mind."
Bumalik na siya sa niluluto niya at pinahubad ko naman ang uniform niya dahil baka matalsikan iyon.
Nakatanktop na lang siya ngayon at slacks. He's really masculine.
"Do you know someone named Glen?" Tanong ko habang pinapanood siya.
Napalingon siya sa akin at tinitigan ako.
"Glen Devera?" Tanong niya habang nakakunot ang noo.
Tumango ako at naalala nanaman ang nangyari kahapon. That man is handsome too, I bet other girls wants him like Darko.
"How did you know him?" Tanong niya at itinuon na sa akin ang buong atensyon habang naghahain.
"I met him yesterday and we kinda made out." I said casually but I'm really nervous.
