Before we get to the scene I felt the need to say something because of its importance during this time.

If you copy and paste the link below then you can find ways to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Of course, on my personal accounts I have been speaking more than I have on my Wattpad, but I felt like anyone with an audience whether it be tiny or huge has an opportunity to deliver a message. Your voice is important, so make it heard. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE deserves equality and if you don't believe that then I kindly ask you to leave my profile because my work isn't meant for you. I'll be including this message in every story that I update so keep a look out! And I hope everyone is safe.

ALSO! If you're racist... you probably shouldn't be here. If you haven't noticed by now then I've done a terrible job in the way that I include diversity here especially in the main characters. And if I genuinely did that then please let me know so I can make it more known.

Now that I said what I wanted, please enjoy the scene.

This is how I originally planned for this story to end. But as a sucker for a happily ever after I felt like it would genuinely hurt my heart if I did so. So be happy I ended it the way I did!

As always... Much Love,

I walked into the house and couldn't help but let out a laugh when I caught the sight of our Christmas cactus decorated to the nines.

"Ma I'm home!" I called out.

"Back here, sweetheart!" I walked to the door that led to the backyard and leaned against the door frame as I watched Ma swinging on the bench overlooking the yard. I shook my head as I went inside and grabbed her black denim jacket adorned with various patches from the table and walked over to her.

"For a woman who had frostbite you sure forget to snuggle up a lot," I said as kneeled in front of her and I wrapped the jacket around her shoulders.

"I got too lazy to get back inside," she smiled at me and reached forward and fixed the denim jacket that I wore myself. Ma told me it was my Dad's before he passed away and I don't know why but it's became like a second skin to me the second I got big enough to fit. She smiled as her fingers rubbed one of the patches of a koala and I got up and sat next to her. I stretched my long legs out to push as back and forth and my eyes took notice of the initials that lay on the wrist of her jacket sleeve reading 'NBE'.

"You look just like him right now it's crazy," Ma said and I looked up at her.

From the pictures I've seen, I can see the resemblance. While my hair is curly like the pictures of his I've seen the only difference being that my hair is black like my moms.

"Your father had five specks of gold in his eyes though and you have seven. Something with the odd numbers I guess," she chuckled and I leaned my head on top of hers.
