"Mr Cameron, just one more chance. I promise it won't happen again. I have a baby at home and that is why I have been so tired lately, but it won't happen again."

"And that is why I tried to be comprehensive and gave you three chances."

"Please, Mr Cameron. I really, really need this job. I have been here for two years. You won't find another one like me, ple_"

"I would have said that about the old you when you just joined us very enthusiastically. That is why I have come to the conclusion that if the old energetic you comes back, you are more than welcome to rejoin us. However, you now have to be replaced. I am so sorry about that and thank you for all your work up to now." He gives me a smile before leaving.

"Mr Cameron _"

"Leave it," My friend Saniya stops me. She's been my colleague during these two years. However, she works in the canteen as a cook. "Don't humiliate yourself. I told you to come to stay with me for the time being and you refused. How many months so far?"

"Five months," I sit down for the last time on the secretary's chair.

"Still the stomach cramps?" She questions and I nod. "Anyway, this isn't your dream job. Why don't you try to apply to be a member of the canteen staff instead? I will try to convince Mr Cameron for you."

"Leave it, there's no point. I don't have enough qualifications for that." I look down at the bunch of paperwork. I used to hate seeing these papers, but strangely, I am actually going to miss them.

"C'mon, don't look so miserable. You're making me sad," She says while I tidy up my things. "C'mon, you look better when you're smiling. Show me those lovely dimples," She says cheerfully. I have dimples in both cheeks and I can never smile without Saniya poking them straight after.

"Just go work. Mr Cameron will come looking for you soon." I tell her.

"Oh my little Afrah, If only you had listened to me and came to live with me." She pulls me for a hug.

"I don't want to disturb you, you already have a big family,"

"That's exactly why one more wouldn't make a difference. Anyway, my parents went back to Canada so it's just me and my brother in the house. Mostly me, he barely sleeps at home." She parts from the hug and makes me look at her. "I know you told me you don't like companies due to their overload of work but you also told me you couldn't stay jobless living out of your brother's money for the rest of your life, so..." She gets a business card out of her pocket. "Here," She hands it to me.

"Where did you get this from?" I look at it to see the name of the company and its number: AZ Electronics 02047382485.

"Ruqiah from the kitchen staff members has a brother who works there and he said that they are in need of a new secretary. I got one of the cards just in case and Alhamdulilah it happened to be the day you would need it. Please just have a try. Company work might not be that hard and you already had two years experience here and three years apprenticeship before this. There's nothing new they could give you there." She tries to comfort me.

"That is not the problem now, the problem is: am I even going to pass the interview? You know how awkward I am in interviews?"

"Be positive, In Shaa Allah you will get the job. Just hurry up and call them because it is very competitive now. By tomorrow everybody would've heard that they are in need of a secretary."

"Alright, alright. I will make sure I call them today."

"I will miss seeing you every day," She leans closer to wrap her arms around me for another hug. She rubs her hand through my back in order to comfort me.
