35. Labor/ Delivery- Seungcheol 💙

I've just reached 40 weeks in my life now. I'm full term and Chanwoo could be here anytime. Seungcheol and I cannot wait to meet our son. He already means so much to us and he's not even in our arms yet. Chanwoo is definitely taking his time in coming but that's okay as we know he'll be here pretty soon anyway. Seungcheol is home with me now in case I go into labor anytime. He's virtually on paternity leave now. Anyway today I am dying Seungcheol's hair for him. He wants it a new colour. It's gonna be blue just for our boy. I usually do it for him and today is no exception even though I'm 9 months pregnant and could pop at anytime. I set up in the bathroom ready to dye Seungcheol's hair. "Are you sure you're okay doing this, babe?" he asks. "Yes it's absolutely fine" I reply. "You know you're the best wife in the world. I love you so much" he said. "I love you so much too" I reply. Seungcheol sits down and puts a towel on his back so the colour doesn't go everywhere. I start dying his hair. In a few minutes I start to feel a little bit funny. I forget about it and carry on dying Seungcheol's hair. A few minutes later I feel a contraction but I don't say anything as I'm in the middle of dying my husbands hair. Contractions come again as I'm doing his hair. "Looking good" he said. "Yep it will look better when you've washed it out" I say. When I was finished dying Seungcheol's hair, he washes the colour out in the shower. It's shows when it's rinsed out. I leave him to it but I haven't told him that I'm having contractions. I sit on the couch. Seungcheol finishes not long after. "It looks great. Thank you, baby" he said. "You're welcome" I smile. "Cheol, I'm having contractions. They started when I was doing your hair but I didn't tell you" I say. "Why not, honey?" he asks. "I just didn't want you to say anything" I say. A few minutes later I start to go a little dizzy and pass out slightly. "Y/ N, Y/ N. Are you still with me" he said. I come round a few minutes later. "Okay I need to get you to the hospital" Seungcheol said

Seungcheol gets me into the car and we drive to the hospital. I passed out for a moment then but I'm okay now. I think it was just the shock of going into labor at that particular moment. It was sudden and unexpected. We are in the car now on the way to the hospital. Contractions are getting worse and I definitely think the baby is about to come. "Are you okay, baby?" Seungcheol asks sweetly. "Yeah" I reply. Then we hit a huge traffic jam. It's rush hour but it's never this bad. There must've been an accident or something. "Shit, Seungcheol. Look at that. There's no way we are going to get there. I'm going to give birth in the car" I say. "It's okay, honey. Don't panic. I'll try and get around" he said. "I don't think you can. We're trapped" I say. "I'll try" he said. Seungcheol turns the car and tries to get into the other lane. He almost crashes though but we're safe. "Sorry, man. My wife is in labor. I need to get her to the hospital" he said to the driver next to us. He manages to turn off and get us into a quieter road but the only thing is it's gonna take longer to get to the hospital as it's not a main road. We drive for about 20 minutes or so. Seungcheol doesn't really know the way to the hospital from here so we end up getting a little lost. I could feel Chanwoo's head pushing its way out. I think he's about to come. "Seungcheol, pull over. I don't think we are going to get to the hospital in time" I say. "Okay okay. There's a lay-by there" he said. He pulls over a couple of minutes later. "Is he about to come, jagiya?" he said. "Yes I think so I can feel his head" I say. "It's okay I hit this. I'm gonna deliver him" Seungcheol said. "Okay" I say. I pull down my leggings and Seungcheol gets on his knees as I push. "Stay calm, baby. I know this is very awkward but you're having a baby right here" he said. I start to push. "Yes I can see his head. He's almost here" Seungcheol said. I carry on pushing till a few minutes later and our son was here. Chanwoo was born in the passenger seat of our car. "He's here. You did it" he said. I pant as I am breathless. "Yes our boy" I say. Seungcheol grabs a blanket to wrap baby Chanwoo in. He hands him to me and calls an ambulance as the cord is still attached and the placenta hasn't been delivered yet. We didn't know what to do so we needed an ambulance. I can't believe I gave birth in the car out of all places. Seungcheol did so well delivering our son

The paramedics arrive soon and I deliver the placenta and they cut the cord. They took me safely to hospital too and Seungcheol followed in the car. He arrived soon. They took baby Chanwoo straight to get him checked over. There was several checks they needed to do to make sure he was healthy. We want our boy to be healthy. Seungcheol arrives and finds where I am. "I'm here. How are you?" he asks. "I'm okay. Glad you're here" I smile. "Well that was quite something" he said. "I know. Our boy is being checked ever. Hopefully everything should be okay" I reply. "It will be. We'll tell him when he was older that he was born in the car" Seungcheol said. "No we won't" I laugh. "Jagiya, I feel bad for letting you dye me my hair. You should've told me you were having contractions" Seungcheol said. "No don't. It was my pleasure" I smile. A few minutes later the midwife comes in with baby Chanwoo. She hands him to me. "Hello, son" Seungcheol said. "Awwww. He's so cute, Cheol" I say. "He is. He's perfect" he smiles. We spend a while getting to know our first born baby. Seungcheol held Chanwoo later. He's already a great dad. "He has very long limbs and fingers and toes" he said. "Yeah I know. He's a long boy but very very cute" I reply. "Baby Coups is here. Our boy" he said. "He is indeed. Seungcheol, I know you are going to teach this kid great things" I say. "Oh I hope so. He might follow in my footsteps one day. That would be pretty cool" Seungcheol smiles. "You might take after daddy, Chan and look daddy dyed his hair blue just for you" I say. "Hmmmm I did" he laugh. Our son Chanwoo is here safely. It was quite a moment giving birth in the car but we'll never forget it though as our boy was born

A/ N: sorry if this was a much longer one. I guess there was a lot to include. I wanted to do a car birth that was a bit dramatic. The last time I did one was in my CNCO book so a while ago. Cute baby boy though
