22. a. Decorating The Nursery

Today Vernon and I are making a start on our son's nursery. We can't wait to get started with it as he'll be here soon. The walls are already painted but we are going to put some wallpaper on half of it. We want to keep it that way. It's a grey colour. First Vernon and I start assembling the crib. It's white with a navy frame. The main colour of the nursery is going to be navy. I hand him screws and nails as he's assembling. "Thanks, babe" he said as I hand him a screws. Soon we finished doing the crib and we put it into place. We did the wallpaper earlier and it's set now. Next thing we did was the chair which is what I'll be sitting on to feed our son. We follow the instructions as we assemble and put it into place. Next the dresser needed assembling and a couple of other things before putting in place. I put a few little toys in the crib and drape a blanket. A rug goes on the floor and also a little play thing for our son. I think we are pretty much done for now. "It looks great, babe" Vernon said. "It does. I think our boy will be happy with it" I reply. He smiles and puts his arms around me. Vernon and I had a lot of fun doing our son's nursery today

His POV

Me and Y/ N arrived back to Seoul from California last week. We are happy to be back in Seoul and getting ready for the arrival of our little girl within the next couple of months. We are so excited to be parents to our first child. We are getting our baby girls nursery ready today and we can't wait. I know we've only been back a few days but we couldn't wait any longer to get started with it. Y/ N and I put some old clothes on and start painting the walls a subtle beige colour. Nothing too loud or bright for the baby. The room needs sprucing up with some paint as it hasn't really been used. We get started doing that. "Be careful, honey. I don't want you falling" I say. "I am being careful" Y/ N replies. We paint the walls once and wait for the paint to dry. While it was drying we started assembling the crib and other things. The crib just arrived yesterday as we ordered it. We are still waiting for the chair which will be coming soon. We get the crib done in no time and then we do the changing unit and the drawers. "Do you think the changing unit in the corner near the crib and the drawers over at the other side?" I ask Y/ N. The paint had dried and we put second coat on and wait for it to dry to. Y/ N wanted to organise sone of our daughters clothes and other stuff so I left her to do that. Later we put the crib into place and decorated it a bit before hanging something on the wall after. "It looks so pretty. Our little girl is going to love it" I say. "It is. We've done a great job, Shua" Y/ N said. "Yep we have. It will be complete when the chair comes" I smile. Our little girls nursery looks so pretty so far. Just waiting for the chair
