7. a. Telling His Family

Today my family are over and we are going to tell them about our baby news. Me and Y/ N can't wait to tell my mom, dad and Sofia that we are expecting a baby. We think they will be so happy for us. They will be the first people to know too. They are over now and we are waiting for the right time to tell them. Y/ N wants me to break the news to them since it's my family. We can't wait to tell them. Oh probably anytime now. We are talking about general things. Mainly about how our jobs are going. "Can I get anyone anything else to eat or drink?" Y/ N asks. "No I think I'm fine thanks" mom replies. "Me too but thank you, Y/ N. I love how she's so kind and caring and thinks of everyone, Hansol" dad said. I smiled. "Actually me and Y/ N have something we'd like to tell you" I say. "Yes we do" Y/ N replies. "Me and my beautiful girlfriend are pleased to tell you that we are having a baby" I say. They looked a little surprised at first. "Oh really. Congratulations I'm so happy for you" my mom said. "I thought you were gonna say you're getting married" dad said. "No, dad but we are having a baby" I reply. "That's great, son but you need to marry this girl" he said. "Yay! I'm going to be an aunt. I'm so happy for you two. You're going to be great parents" Sofia said. "Thanks, sis and mom and dad" I say. "Thank you. We are really happy. We discussed having a baby and yeah it just happened but we wouldn't change it for the world" Y/ N smiles. My family was really happy to hear our baby news this afternoon and we were really happy to tell them

Joshua's parents are coming over to our place today. We are going to tell them that we are expecting a baby. We can't wait to tell them. We know they will be so happy for us as they keep on asking when we are going to start a family. They will be so pleased to know today. They are due to arrive anytime now. Joshua and I are ready to let them in. Joshua has dressed up all smart for his parents. He's still a mamas boy. Haha. "Can't wait to tell them our big news, jagiya" he said. "I know. Me too. Not long now, Shua. They are almost here" I reply. He smiles and gives me a kiss. Soon the doorbell goes and Joshua opens the door. "Hey, Mom and dad" he said. "Hey, my handsome son" his mom said. "Son" his dad said. "Hi, Y/ N" Joshua's Mom said. They take off their shoes and coats and come into the lounge and sit down. Joshua makes them a coffee and us a cup of tea. We talk for a bit before dropping the baby news into the conversation. "Mom, dad you know how you always ask us when are we going to have a baby" Joshua said. "Yes. Are you pregnant, Y/ N?" Joshua's Mom said excitedly. "Yes I am" I reply. "We are happy a baby and we are so happy. We can't believe it. We are going to be a mommy and a daddy" Joshua said. "Yesss we are so happy. We've been waiting for this day" his dad said. "We are so pleased to tell you. We knew you'd be so happy" Joshua said. "We are, sweetie. Ahhhhh I'm going to be a granny" she exclaims. "You're going to be amazing parents. The both of us" his dad said. Joshua's parents were so elated to find out they are going to be grandparents. They even insisted on going to the first scan with us. Haha. We might let them

Tonight Jihoon and I are going out for dinner with his parents. We haven't seen them in a couple of months so we are going to catch up with them and also we are going to tell them our amazing baby news too. My family already know. We told them last week and they were so happy for us. We are going to tell Jihoon's family tonight over dinner. We are getting ready and leaving soon. I have done my hair and makeup and I'm now getting dressed. "Would you mind zipping me up, buttercup?" I ask. "Sure not" Jihoon replies. "You look yummy, baby" he said. "Haha. Thanks, my pocket rocket. You don't look so bad yourself" I reply. We leave soon and arrive at the restaurant to meet Jihoon's parents. They were already there waiting for us. They got us drinks too. We greet them with a hug and a kiss and sit down and start talking. Appetisers come and we tuck in. We shared a platter of spring rolls etc between the four of us. "So how's things going? Got anything new to tell us" Jihoon's dad asks. Jihoon looks at me and says "actually we do, Eomma and Appa" Jihoon said. "Good need" his mom said. "Yes me and Y/ N are having a baby. She's pregnant with our first kid" he said touching my face. "Oh my gosh. That's amazing. So amazing. I was hoping you'd start a family soon" his mom says. "We are so so happy. We can't believe we are going to be parents soon in the next few months" Jihoon said. "We are, baby" I say. "So happy for you two and I can't wait to be a grandad" his dad said.
